New Photos of Eldorado FLDS-02-13-2006

The Eldorado FLDS is popping again! New H House is nearing completion and looks awesome. Two new super silos are now completed and painted white. The building by the barn has first floor completed and they are adding on as we speak. Building to the south now has steel I-beam. The most intriguing photos are of the new water tank. The tank looks massive and will hold more water than a “skeleton crew” will ever need!!

I also re-designed my website. The photos are yours… enjoy..

Wow, Pilot! Just when I think that your pics couldn't get any better, they do. Amazing! Thank you so much for keeping all of us up-to-date on what is goig down in TX.

Pilot

Is everything too spread out to get a direct overhead shot to put averything in its place? I am trying to lay things out from the pictures but I think the perspective is off. I am trying to put together a sketch like a street map to somewhat of a scale.

ThePilot said...

Not really, we were 1000 feet above the surface. I could get 5,000 feet and take a pic of the whole thing but would loose photo detail. The best way would be a panoramic view. But I move too fast for that. A helicopter or satellite shot would be ideal.

The water tank is a metal 20,000 gallon tank that was donated to Uncle Fred in 2000. Good to see it being used...

With all this building going on, is there a steady stream of traffic going in and out of the ranch? Large trucks, etc?

"Skeleton crew". I'm sorry please explain?

ThePilot said...

Its was rumored upon completion of the temple, the FLDS in Eldorado was going to be a sanctuary for pilgrims. That the population would not be very big and many of the houses would remain empty so that visitors who came to the temple would have a place to stay. In other words.. only a “skeleton crew” of a couple of hundred would remain permanently at the compound for maintenance purposes. Evidently the rumor was false.

Hey pilot,

Awesome job, as usual. I am going to have to get a better camera.

I would concur about that water tower. It looks like a storage tank with a pumping facility adjacent to it. It is also located on the highest elevation of the property. (about 2430 MSL.) In contrast, the wastewater treatment plant in the NE corner of the property is around 2300 MSL.

Pilot

I think a higher picture would help me put all the detailed pictures you take in their proper places. I wish a satellite photo were available as it would do the best job. Unfortunately any I have seen are too outdated to do that. If anyone knows how to get a current Sat photo let us know. Sure appreciate your work!

ThePilot said...

I will see what I can do. Stay tuned..

Anonymous said...

Thanks pilot:

We who sit here in Eldorado can see the temple's roofline every time we go to San Angelo. Many of us have driven on the public roads on two sides of the property but the way the buildings are situated it is impossible to really get an accurate estimate of the amount of building going on out there. Thany you.

Motoqua is just south of the 37 20' latitude so I would say it's about the 37 18' line and it is right on the 114 00' longitude line.

I hope you realize that Motoqua is an Allred - AUB - community, not an FLDS community.

Thanks 11:05 do you happen to know the cords for the mancos colorado property?

Anonymous said...

Glad to help out. Did you find it?

Mancos is about 37 degrees latitude and around 108' 20" longitude. That is for the town of Mancos. I don't know how close the ranch is to the town, but Mancos is NOT big.

There is another AUB community in western Wyoming - I can't remember if Wyoming one is called Pinedale or Big Piney. Was the one in Montana called Pinedale?

Someone help me out here, please.

Anyway, Pinedale Wyoming is at about 42' 80" latitude and about 109' 60" longitude. If it is Big Piney, Wyoming, then that would be about 43' 35" latitude and 109' 75" longitude.

Amazing, use of military spy aircraft for civilian criminal case would have to be authorized by President Bush in case of USAF aircraft or Gov. Perry in case of Texas Air National Guard aircraft.

Wonder if pilot has seen them flying around?

In any case this is sign that feds must believe Warren Jeffs is at YFZ IMO.

The aircraft was not identified as U.S. "Military" supposedly it was in use by the Department of Interior or Bureau of Immigration & Naturalization. Neither of these departments are in any way attached to the military. Just why a fly over was being done is your guess. AWACS are generally considered as cross-reference points to locate enemy aircraft. As far as I know, the only type of aircraft that could land at YFZ might be a helicopter or, though I doubt it, a verticle take off aircraft.

Question, the photo in Success paper is AWACS, which is a military aircraft. It is possible the aircraft was "loaned" to FBI, or other LE, just as the tanks used at Waco were "loaned" from military to LE. Avoid legal questions of useing military in domestic criminal case. AWACS aircraft can be used to locate aircraft in flight, they also have ability to listen to enemy radio transmissions, radar etc. Some posters on this blog have stated that YFZ has some sort of high tech com system to keep LE from listening in. Perhaps aircraft was monitoring such communications.

Of course the aircraft could have been involved with some other investigation not related to YFZ or Warren Jeffs, could have flown over in route to somewhere else.

Anonymous said...

Actually the plane is on loan to US Customs. It was stationed at Mathis Field until recently. Customs also possesses a Citation aircraft with the intelligence capability. This is the 2nd or 3rd flight over compound in as many months, so it’s not something new. Its main purpose was recon of low flying drug planes close to the Rio Grand valley. The plane is also equipped with thermal sensors. It can detect body heat through buildings. Even how tall someone is. Suggesting the population estimates are also on agenda for intel.

I have to agree with Chaster on the aimoo blog here. We aren't even relying totally on renewable resources now. We aren't totally recycling our garbage. Maybe after we learn how to stabilize the ecosystem we can worry about increasing population.

Now, look around Forestwood and throughout the town of CC in general. It is a CITY DUMP!!! These people aren't worthy of large families if that is how they treat the environment.

Anonymous said...

"Multiply and replenish the earth"

The FLDS understand the multiply part, but what about replenish. Doesn't that imply not destroying the earth? Running totally off renewable resources?

ATAR_i said...

is that why it's so quiet in here?

hydrolab said...

YFZ is currently taking its sewage and trash to the City of Eldorado facilities. That being said, there are concerns that many have over enviornmental issues at the ranch. YFZ does not have a good track record so far and has been cited for numerous violations in the past including unapproved public drinking water systems, unapproved construction of wastewater facilities, several air violations from an unpermitted cement plant, as well as trash violations.

So is there reason for concern? I would say yes there is. There is reason to believe that some actions at the YFZ could have detrimental effects enviornmentally. The geologic setting around this area is a "honeycomb" type limestone rock that is known for its extremely quick infiltration rates. That being said, it is obvious that any improper handling of stormwater or wastewater could have a negative effect on groundwater resources as well as surface water further downstream.

I can assure you that I am watching from the air as well as on the ground and monitoring ground water as well as surface water in the area. There is a way to manage their facilities correctly so that pollution does not occur. I hope they adhere to those rules. If not, it could be a very painful and costly situation that YFZ officials might find themselves in.

We cant wait for the next post pilot. they probably have the water tank complete ? any new h houses being built? BTW did they pay the prop tax on time and how much was it? Thanks for the pics they are awesome!

OTS since you like large populations may I suggest that you and you 10,000 friends move to either China, Indonesia or India. Another 10,000 more or less won't even be noticed in the part of the world where the population is approaching 4,000,000,000. Your bunch wouldn't amount to a gnat on a mouse's backside. They aren't too interested in environmenntal issues either.

From the naivety of your understanding of the world have you ever seen a community larger than 25,000 people? There is a great big world out there. The vast numbers of people who populate this planet don't even know who, where or why you even breathe. Another thing to note: they don't care. Makes you feel really small doesn't it? If somehow you make it to Celestial Heaven as god, do you think that your world will be in as big a mess as this one is or will it be much worse? It's not gonna happen, but for the sake of argument say you're gonna make it. With your limited resources how are you gonna pull it all together? Remember now you're god. No one is higher up to call on and since you're god you can appear, in person to some backwoods boy and get him to write the book of streetie. How impressive.

FBI updates Warren Jeffs most wanted poster, basiclly same as old version, just new URL.

http://www.fbi.gov/mostwant/fugitive/feb2006/febjeffs.htm

IMO it appears that Warren Jeffs is telling his followers in Colorado City/Hildale not to pay property taxes. Not a smart move as this will result in their eviction from their home which will be sold to highest bidder.

Perhaps that is reason for 280,000 water tank at YFZ, his followers coming here to Texas?

Hey, Atari, and fttc
I've been away for a while.
It's good to see you guys are still keeping ol streety in check.
There have been drug rumors in CC since the 80's. It was thought to be a major source for cash for years. I have talked to numerous people in Cerntennial Park who talked about small planes circling town in the wee hours of morning and then landing at the airstrip south of town. Then a caravan of vehicles would drive out there and soon after the plane would leave.

Now bear in mind I don't have "proof" but I find the stories very believable.

ATAR_i said...

Based on the smells - any reason to suspect a pot grow or meth lab?

Anonymous said...

Over the years several names have been associated with drugs coming out of the Creek. Stories abound about a greenhouse growing pot for Truman Barlow, Louis - or was it Nephi - Barlow and Richard Holm to sell.

Then a few years ago there was a Meth lab in town just across the street from CJ's market. That Meth lab was run by William Black and half of the building blew off while he was cooking.

People who grew up in the Creek a couple of decades ago talk about their friends having pot to smoke and this was when the locals did not associate with outsiders (to buy it in St. George) and outsiders didn't come into town to sell it to the locals.

Sure makes you wonder what kind of cash crop has been grown in the Creek for the past 20 years.

ATAR_i said...

I'm guessing it is considered BAD to do meth or smoke pot in FLDS.

But would it be considered bad to sell it to the outsiders?

Wether things are legal or not probably doesn't matter one whiff - as evidenced by EVERYTHING else - so I'm not going to even bother with that question.

When you cut someone's cash flow off, you hit them where it hurts - makes it a little harder to hide - and to build massive complex's. I am curious how much the DEA has worked with Law Enforc hit Warren in the pocketbook.

Anonymous said...

How did you find out about Will Black's lab? It seems as if you know quite a bit about the building.Did you work there? My husband worked at that building when it was in operation. I had been there numerous times and I watched the men dump "green slime" or toxic waste into the streets. But did anyone ever actually see any drugs that were produced there? The woman who was the foreperson on the crew was definately a crack head, but did you actually SEE anything?

ANON 5:54

Thank you for your interest.

The inside of the building is kinda hard to describe. It had two offices; one was will's and one was warren's.The breakroom was in the same area. Then there was a hall that led to a melting room where the large rotating "bucket" would pour the melted metal onto a conveyer belt. Then there is the room where the foreperson would measure all of the product onto small scales and there were bags of what looked like red sand sitting on some metal shelves in the same room. Then there is the part of the building that was inside of the large bay doors. This is the area were they mixed silver nitrate with regular kitchen flour and they would mix it in large concret tubs with drill- like mixers. That mixture would get loaded into wheel barrows and taken somewhere to be melted. This stuff sucked. It got all over your clothes and on your skin and would leave black and brown spots. I still have garments from when it was still operational.

As for the smell of the place, it only smelled funny in warren's office, will's office and in the "measuring" room. The rest of the place pretty much just smelled like any normal factory with a lot of fire.

From what I can remember about the green slime, the men would fill them in a room, that I never went into, and then push them on dollies out to the concrete slabs on the se side of the building and they would just simply dump them over on their side. I was never really interested in the smell of it because I thought that it was toxic waste. NOT a good thing to get TOO close too, right? My husband said that it smelled sour and a little like brimstone. I don't know what brimstone smells like but it must be bad.

That is all that I can think of, but it sure is nice to finally be able to tell someone. Nobody ever wanted to listen.

Thanks

In answer to your ? atar_i, I don't really know what a smelter is, so I really am not sure. They said that they were making gold. We didn't think to question it.

To anon 12:40

No it was not warren jeffs. I was trying to remember his last name but can't. He lived in Hurricane by the Linn's food store. He was a very Large man. about 6 ft 3 and about 350 lbs. Dark hair and mustache. He always wore shorts and t-shirts with a button shirt over it. He drove a Chrysler 300 m at the time.

ATAR_i said...

And, since we didn't go to the hot springs we went through a canyon out of hurricane - it was beautiful, and there was this health food store a ways down the road. The gal there told me to go to a ghost town (and we did) and went down to the creek (river) - it was absolutely lovely.

What's down there - do you know the place I'm speaking of.

I think you are thinking of the hot springs in la verkin. You turn right just before you go over the bridge into la verkin from hurricane. I had not heard that it had been closed up by natural disaster.

interesting.

ATAR_i said...

I think they were called the Pah Tempe Hot springs (could have been in La Verkin - that sounds familiar) - and I *really* wanted to go.

Hurricane was interesting - deserted. The gal behind the mini mart counter was not incredibly friendly but she stated it wasn't open any more.

To think I was so close to CC without even knowing it.

What's the name of the ghost town that's just (I want to say East) of Hurricane in that valley - where the natural food store is.

I agree, GBNF. Springdale is unbelievable. Especially during one of those mid-summer sunsets. Sorry, getting kinda mushy, but it is beautiful.

ATAR_i said...

We went on the dusty road to Grafton, and then back on the main road east - and it was beautiful - like an oasis.

Actually I thought Grafton too, we found our way down to the sand next to the river, there will cows roaming - it was remote (which I love), hot, and beautiful.

Our RV is big, so it went up to Grafton cemetary, and really no farther. Are you saying the really nice stuff is farther up that dirt road to get to Grafton?

ATAR_i said...

I think I'm using too much RAM on my computer, and every once in awhile I type a word or a letter and it gets missed - sorry.
