FLDS Prophet Warren Jeffs may be serving life in prison, but his followers continue with their work on the YFZ Ranch near Eldorado, Texas where the group's white limestone Temple towers over the town they are building. Polygamy, the practice of plural marriage, appears to be alive and well in the Lone Star State, despite laws to the contrary.

For the critics
all of you who have such "bitter"( I love that word), criticism for all the FLDS refugees who have written about there experiences, if you have the courage, or the mental capacity, try this little thought experiment . try to consider what your own condition is if these ladies are telling the truth.

Undacuff, you know the one issue that really bothers me? The MEN in this group.
The men wont stand up, they have to be told by another man, to do the right thing.
The mothers are being examined, questioned, having to make excuses.
Where are the men? Polygamy in FLDS is supposed to be a Male dominated group, and yet, few and I mean very few men, have shown up, or supported their wives or their children.
Do they realize, that Texas isnt kidding around here? That Texas does and will put women in jail?

Well friend, It should come as no surprise that in a male dominated society, that the women do the work.
Could it be, they are more concerned that Texas will put them, in jail if they show up?
Sounds a little too satirical, but what can you be sure of in a society where its acceptable for a man with a family, depending on him for guidance, to take a 12 year old girl to bed.
And I take it, that you are the two men in the group you are speaking about!
Like Winston Blackmore said abuse can happen anywhere...
When a man feels trapped he will strike out, when a woman feels trapped she will strike out...
I read something that said that some Merrill Jessops wife's acussed him of being MONOGYNOUS. How would a man feel when he is forced to take more wives when he only wants one? Maybe a little overwehlmed a little trapped...
Some men do stand up. Who do you think the "apostates" are? By definition, a man that stands up is "apostate". You will never see a "faithful" man stand up, because he would then cease to be "faithful".
Oops, I read the first post a little more. I though you meant the men standing up against FLDS nonsense, and I fired a knee-jerk reaction before reading the rest of the post. I now realize it was referring to defending their families in Texas. That bothers me, too, that the women are having to fight to keep their children, but where are the men?
I think every man has stood up since they were one year old. Except the disabled ones. Sure an apostate can stand up. But what do they stand up for? What they used to uphold, or the changing of their minds. Because if you never had honesty, or honor, you could not lose it, and if you never had it you could not turn from it. So, since you are the expert's on the condition of men, who have turned from all they believe in, let's hear it; now that you are big and are taking dictation from your brain, what do you stand up for? If you turn from the principle's of love and honor, what did you grasp?
Yes, but how well are the women actually standing up for their children? Today the mother of the 14 year old wife of Warren plead the 5th ammendment 50 times. She isn't standing up too much for her child at this point. Only protecting Warren and her cronies again.
and you, my friend; did you also do any-thing good. I have never in my life seen good come out of trying to prove evil. You call her friends cronies. I call them people.

sayyy wott?
Just more of the faithful proving who the "bitter ones" really are.
The definition of an apostate, is some one who has turned from what they believed. Now, as all that are claiming to be apostate, I was wondering if they thought, what they believed before is valid, or what they believe now, is valid. Can you claim to be un-thinker's now, that you have chosen to forsake the things you believed before, or was you un-thinking, when you believed, what you believed, before you found, your new found, thinking brain? cause it don't matter who your with, if you make choices you have been dictated too. or was you the enforcer? I was just wondering, was you thinking before, you made a commitment to change your thinking, or was you thinking after you made a commitment to change your thinking?
the woman is Barbara Jessop, one of Merrils wives...at least she went to court, Merril wasn't anywhere to be found.
Where do you get the idea that the men haven't stood up for their families?
I'm not there; I don't know if they have or they haven't. But I suspect that those who hold that idea (of FLDS men not standing by their families), are basing their impressions on the fact that the men haven't been profiled in the news media. This is a faulty assumption.
The women, not the men, were taken off the ranch with the children. The women were the ones separated from the children while in custody. Naturally, the news media gravitated towards the mothers, who made a public appeal to get their children back. This is just good PR. But it doesn't mean the men were any less involved or less invested in their families.
The mothers were DNA tested while in state custody, which resulted in the case being divided by individual mother. Quite a few men (at great risk) voluntarily submitted to DNA testing, as well. Keep in mind that the men who were indicted could not have been charged if they hadn't voluntarily provided DNA samples linking them with the children of underaged mothers.
The women have generally been hedgey about who their husbands are and where they are. This, I think, is due to the legal jeopardy they all face for polygamy. But I highly doubt those women don't know the whereabouts of their husbands. Somebody is supporting those large families, who are now scattered in multiple households throughout the state. And I find it pretty hard to believe that all the women had marketable careers, and were able to join the workforce so quickly while still managing to care for their children.
Like I said, I don't know if the men have jumped ship or they haven't. But I wouldn't be so quick to make the assumption.
8:19 4:03 PM LISTEN UP
if someone is raised to believe a certain way, and later on they see the error of their beliefs (holding a man up as god), they would be living a lie to continue down the same path. Apostate schmoo....that word means absolutely nothing to me. if you went thru a terrorist training camp and refused to go thru with it in the end, you would be labeled an apostate and a coward. BUT WHO REALLY CARES WHAT OTHERS THINK. Get a life, you religious fanatic.
God wants spiritual fruit, not religious nuts.
It would seem that Merril's sons are more man then he is...Merrill has failed to comply by giving DNA.
I wonder if the boys come forward to protect Merril, Willie was worried about the authorities coming to the ranch again.
I think most of us go by day by day putting one foot infront of the other never really thinking to hard why we are here. But then one day someone may ask us why we believe what we do? Or may make a comment about the way a husband treats his wife, I was married for many years and never though my husband treated me bad untill a neighbor said something.
It is a bit like playing Chess. The Queen and all the Pawns job is to defend the King. They don't have to have him on the front line to be running an effective strategy.
abbracadabbra,
If you think the media has somehow "missed" these men, you are sorely mistaken. I can assure you photographers would have proof if the men set foot anywhere near what would be considered "supporting their children" in these court cases.
They simply are not there. Will not be there. And their wives will let the children be taken away before they "turn the daddy's and accomplices in."
Only 30 men gave DNA from that ranch. 3 men from out of state came down to Texas on their own accord (excommunicated men) and gave DNA. One at the time of the first court order, was supeoned (warren jeffs) Since, the first indictments 9 more men have been ordered to give DNA.
FLDS continue complaining they arent ONE group. Yet when their wives go to court, they arent there when their wifes case is called. The Let ONE man speak for them all, Willie Jessop.
And Barbara Jessop may go to jail, because of BAD advice in the hearing either by her attorney, or Wille Jessop. Pleading the 5th in a civil case, does nothing but tell any judge, your guilty.
How many men were on the ranch? What percentage does that 30 men comprise? A half? Three quarters? Ten percent? Unless we know how many we're talking about, 30 DNA samples is irrelevant.
I don't know where or when that you expected to see men in court that they weren't there. I did see photos of FLDS men at the 14-day custody hearing. I don't think their presence was required, nor do I it would have served any benefit at the later hearings. The men were not subpoenaed to the Grand Jury hearings. No one attended those hearings without a subpoena.
Willie Jessop has been the only man to hold a news conference, which was probably a wise decision. However, I've seen several men interviewed on various news shows - the ones that come to mind are James Dockstader, Edson Jessop, Dan Jessop, and a man name Richard who was profiled in a Deseret news slide show.
I would have an easier time believing that the men hadn't stood by their wives if they weren't supporting their wives. Have any of the women been forced onto public assistance since the raid? If so, it hasn't been reported by the news media.
Again, just because we don't know where the husbands are, doesn't mean the wives don't know, and doesn't mean that the husbands aren't living at home with their wives and children.
As for Barbara Jessop - she likely lost custody of her daughter because she pleaded the 5th. But if there is a criminal case pending against her, the 5th ammendment cannot be considered an admission of guilt.
I doubt anything Barbara could have said would have changed the outcome. So they might as well blame it on what she didn't say. It is going to prove less incriminating in long range.
does anyone here know which SKIRT Merrill Jessop is hiding under?
In the book "God's Brothel", all the women tell basically the same horror stories...yet most have never met. Although not all of the women were part of FLDS, all were part Mormon based religious groups [if I remember right.] A few eventually met through a group to help them. So, to me, the thought that they are all in collusion to make money by writing lies, doesn't seem to hold up. Those that have written their stories, and made some money, have gotten some fleeting fame. I can't see how this changes the facts as they present them. Have any been sued for slander? Or is that too big of a risk for the FLDS and others, to take. To take the chance of being under oath and having to prove these women are wrong? Better to smear their names and to call them crazy, unfaithful, and ungodly women.
My hat is of to all who can escape any organized religion where they have no voice of their own and/or are told what they must think in order to "get to heaven".
Do I believe in God? Yes..one that is loving and forgiving and doesn't threaten to damn me to eternal hell for thinking on my own.
Im sure many dont realize those who were forced to leave, or the women who left, still hold the faith they were taught. But, they are continuing their lives, the best they can. Some have remarried and have children, many still miss their families. I wouldnt want to be in such a relgion where, if you decide to leave for whatever reason you would never be able to see or communicate with family members again.
I dont agree with multiple marriages, and certainly dont agree with marrying of underage children.
FLDS needs badly to change, not only leadership, but how they see life and others.
So sorry to be off topic but a question came to mind....I haven't seen the Pilot post recently or seen any recent pictures of YFZ. I was just curious...not flying overhead anymore or nothing new to film? I truly enjoyed the photos he's taken in the past. Thanks...and sorry for going off topic!!!
I flew over the YFZ yesterday with our new principal and his wife and there still is no activity other than some sewer work. No one building anything and no new changes that would warrant new photos. They have not even fired up the pivot irrigation turrets on the fields. Everything looks the same as it did in April. They are building a warehouse for Griffin oil company in town and as usual, it built to perfection.
Pilot, many thanks for the answer. I am always curious about the activities at the ranch.
Yes, my friend, there are some who are forced to leave, and traitor's who stay and look like they care. Course they do not and the woman are sabataged. But there are some who are honest and try as hard as they can.
and after being in this country's terrible shelter's as an adult, I can not even begin to imagine how horrible these children were tramatized. how horrid! how horrid!
how horrid it is when your own country declares war on you, because you believe different. In ninteen fifty three, they took the children. It was the same as today. We cry more. We cry because the images are captured and viewed. We cry because we supported them, and they tried to destroy. Mark Shirtliff is ill, with injury's. I would be flying my flag at half mast, but I do not fly the flag of America. I love my country, but America is for the free and the brave. I suppose it was brave on my part to watch a girl torn from her mother, and remember the day, they tore my daughter from my arm's and banned me from my Mother. You may think this was what you all wanted, but memory is a long thing. I suppose there may be a few brave out there, and the free are only the one's who cling to the Lord. How, horrible! how horrible! out there your children shoot other's in there school's. How horrible! how horrible! how horrible! how horrible!
and tears and word's can not describe how HORRIBLE! HOW HORRIBLE!
Yikes.....
Maybe your cult should learn to obey the laws of this land. Maybe then you woulld not be in this mess again huh.
laws of the land? when you break them all! laws of the land? you make laws against the laws. How horrible! how horrible! how horrible! you make war on your own country!
Okaaay, methinks someone has gone off their medication. Pardon me while I tippy toe out of the room. Bye!
'Dillo
Wow someone does not know that if you break laws, you risk going to jail? This is America right? Did I wake up this morning in Iran?
I do agree that what you brought upon yourselves is HORRIBLE!
try putting a fence around child protection agency's then. laws are made to be honored. What are you? a law breaker? How horrible! how horrible!
How Horrible is when an 84 year old woman can't see her Grandchildren because her children decided she was evil...she didn't change only stayed the same, her children choose to follow the Terrorist.
Translation:
Terrorist = Warren Jeffs
Get back on your meds, Ruth!
Thus sayeth your Lord Warren.
--- and in the fullness of time it came to pass, amen.
And, amen.
to the 1:33 poster; It is terrible if a person wants to see there children or grandchildren and can not. It is terrible when a girl wants to stay with her mother and can not. I feel for you, grandmother. There are so many people who do not want there children. They leave them, or they are abused. YEs, America; our children are the most important thing there is. AND NAME CALLING IS NOT REALLY A TRAIT I WOULD WANT TO PASS ON TO THE CHILREN.
nor, would I think it is respectable that society would want to pass on goverment kidnappings!
day one
I was told I was being taken to a place to be helped. They took em at night, when no one could see what they done.
day two
I was surrounded by a group of poeple. They threw me to the ground and gave me a shot. I was drugged with what I knew not.
day two
I would not eat. I was afraid. I would not shower. I was afraid
day three
they took me to a judge and made fun of me.
day four
I would not eat. I would not shower. I was afraid.
day five
a man came to this place. He ran around and yelled. He wrote poems. I wrote too. I read in a magizine.
day six.
I read my poem to the man. He said, "you would do this for me"
I did eat. I did see these people eat. I did shower.
they brought me stuff, after awhile.
day seven
They put me out on the street.
I could not sleep. I could not eat. I leave out so much, that was said. I could not sleep. I could not eat, so they drugged me again. Then I did not wake up for a long time.
then I worked. I sang. only one song. "Lord, do not leave me alone, for there is nothing as bad as being alone." I did not speak. When they came. i only looked. They talked and laughed and tried to get me too. I looked at them. These ones had there children. They laughed and played. I only looked at them. They went away. I did not cry. I did not smile. I did not eat. I sat and listened. "Lord, do not leave me alone, there is nothing in the world as bad as being alone." I watched them all. The people of the world, with there children.
I did not think then, I was too drugged. My children I thought waited for me. My daughter was only one, when they took her. She reached out to me, and cried. I seen her in my mind, forever etched there, crying, reaching for me. crying, crying, crying, with my song, "Lord, do not leave me, Lord do not leave me, do not leave me, do not leave me, Please" and seen her in every face. In every childs smile. Where did my free country go? where was the people who defended freedom and liberty? Why did you forsake me? why did you turn your back on me? who did come to advacate for me?
One thing I have come to learn about Texas, is to never think they are good. Arizonia and Utah, I know. I did not expect them to treat me like a person. They are different than me. I am not in there church. They have always hated me. They did not always raid me, and drug me, and steal from me, but it was clear, they hated me. I did not cry for them. I cried for me and my daughter. Texas I thought was kind. Texas I thought cared. Just like the day they took my daughter and I thought those people cared. Wasn't I surprised when they took her from me, these other people. I only looked at them. They was my friends. I only looked. I did not cry until four years later. I only seen my daughter in my mind, reaching out for me, crying; "Mother, Mother" that was all. Why? I asked myself. Why? then when I found out why, I only said, "please let me forget." These were my freinds. "Lord, please never leave me. Please. These were my freinds. I love them. I would not even put a cat or a dog in a shelter. We don't do these things in america. WE are the free and the brave. Lord, help me remember the singing and the love. Help me walk with you." I could walk this walk, but to see the children, it was too much. now I cry every day. My country the traitor's. that is what my mind wants to say. My country the land of the free and the brave, my heat wants to say. "Lord, keep me walking with you, why I see there lie, and the cry's of the children." how can they cope with the horror of a shelter? how can they cope with the tyrants of america. Where will they go when they are done tramitizing them in the shelter? What will they do? "LOrd give them streanth, never leave them, Please, never leave them, there is nothing so bad as walking alone." and they sing. I listen to them. They are capable to sing. There singing gave me streanth to walk alone, with the Lord and keep walking, I listen to them sing, and my tears grow. Why did they hate me? Why would they terriorize children. I understand why they did me. I was no one at all from the beginning. But the children. Who would be so horrible. Who would be so cold hearted. Where is my Country? Where did the free men go? Is every one's heart made of stone? Then I walk and some people are nice to me, and I forget for a little while the horror and terrible tradgedy that does happen some time. "Lord never leave me, Please" "Lord give me streanth, to walk for you. Lord give the children streanth and the Mother's. And America why did you hate me?
I am American. I have a right to be protected as much as you. I have broken no laws. I have married no girls to any one. I have not encouraged any one to marry young. I do not uphold or support abuse. I do not discriminate. You have answered my question. America is my country. I have that right to be here as my birth right. I have no need to find me an Island. I expect American's to uphold the law. Is that too much to ask? I would be more surprised if you cared than that you do not. I could write a book too, and you could raid people like Texas done, but would it make the people I wrote about guilty. I shall pray for you. Maybe you will find courage to support the law.
9/06/2008 10:45 pm poster. You sound just like the man who abused me, speaking like you know anything about me. Trying to make every thing my fault. My daughter's are not married, nor will they be in this life. I can tell there are cold hearted people out there. You are probably a person who is looking for a victum to terrorize. I can tell the symptom's. You sound just like the person who abused me. "if i hit you it is your fault....why did you let me.......on and on. yOu are right. I shall not talk to you ever again. good by but there are people who care. America has no right to terrorize her people, and telling me to live on an Island will not take away my birth right. nor will it give you the right to abuse me, cause you disagree!
I would also wonder if you ever had children. I would think you have never. Cause you would not be cold hearted, if you had. If you did you probably put them in day care, then school and collage and then they were grown, and there was nothing to family at all, except images. or you was like one lady I met who hated her son {in the world, not my church} that threw him out as a child, cause she hated men, and he got hooked on marijuana. Or if you had children you was like some of those rich people who put there children in what they called the naughty girls home and thought money was responsibility. Or you adopted your children out. Or just possibly like I think in the beginning you never had children, put your parents in an old folks home, and thought trinket's brought you happiness. I can also tell you been reading too many novel's and now I know also why you hated me. You know nothing about me, and never will, because I am never speaking to you again because you do have a good point. I can plainly see you just do not care, and now you have your answer too of why I say away from you and hope we never meet. I am as American as you and I have a right to be protected and not blamed because so many bully's can call me names and try to make me responsible for another man's abuse. and if that is how you run your country, by novel's and gossip, I shall be praying for you. Maybe you will have a child and aquire a heart.
when you think about it, all law is, is two people having an argument.
when you think about it, all law is, is two people having an argument. besides I love my country. I do not like abuse. And that girl being torn from her family WAS abuse. but she will come back. when she is older. She will come back, and never forget. just like me. never forget;when we come up before the Lord, the guilty will be the one's to be punished. and she will have her freedom and glory.
Life deals us terrible trials to face, Not just FLDS but all humans.
Through those trials you become stronger, if you allow yourself to.
A parents resposibilitly is to protect, defend, love, teach, and help enable a child to think and use the gifts God has given that child.
Part of becomming independent is learning to think for yourself, make your own decisions. When you trained to depend on ONE man, who is leader of a church, and your not allowed to question, you are giving your mind , thoughts, soul away to another.
America didnt take anything away from you. America gave you the freedom to beleive what you want, but it also gave us protection from dictatorship, and oppressiveness of others. It did this with Laws, not just for the few, but for ALL.
Your salvation doesnt come from a prophet, pastor , or Warren Jeffs. Your salvation comes from God only.
A person taught in "Fear" lives in "Fear".

no one even said anything terrible today. weird. Maybe things are improving. weird. Not any one said any thing terrible, or horrible.
Why is it abuse to take the child away from a parent who willingingly gave her away at 12yrs old to a 50yr old man?
Thats abuse!
anon 12:16 Yes the guilty will be punished. I dont think the Lord I beleive in will be happy when MEN in their 50's and older were taking a child's childhood away from them as children.
12:16....Obviously you have been kept in the strong holds of the FLDS for much too long. They apparently did NOT educate you. Your lack of elementary education is obvious...ELEMENTARY education. Sure your group educates the women and lets them be what they want to be....NOT! It is apparent by your own lack of education that this is not the case.
Maybe you are lucky to be in the brainwashed cult that you are. You would not do so well on the outside without an education. A simple ELEMENTARY education.
YOu cannot tell me that you have graduated high school. I would believe this to be a lie or else your teachers are not real educators. One of the two.
Like I said, you know nothing about me. Maybe I write like I do to see if you would hate me for bad grammer. And how do you know I am in any church. And to follow one man is nothing differnt than what a lot of you do; only I follow one man forever. You only do until you get a divorce. and as far as religion goes, I find it a lot safer to keep that personal, because if I love one man that tought me to love the Lord, I would go to jail; although I never committed a crime. You then are a terriorst who have stripped me of my rights to worship according to the dictates of my consience. And really there are a lot of nice people in America. Just do not talk to the haters, and the one's who love war and make war, except to convince them to make peace. And it does not matter how bad your grammer is, or what you believe if you are all caught up in a war, you never wanted. besides, you know nothing about me. But I was not the one they dragged away from my mOther, and I know that those people are worth defending. They are very professional at spelling, english and everything else under the sun.
This diary is a record of what experience? Not the seizure of the children and women in Texas... The times don't work...

The Men are out earning millions of dollars to pay the lawyers for this intense religious persecution, overworking themselves to death. Texas is trying to run them aground so they cannot pay their lawyers.
I am astounded in the 21st Century with Viginia Secrets the undergarments ( what little there is in a thong), Hooters is the favorite restaurant, Playboy and Playgirl the choice of many "business people" and the still Texas label, "The Best Little Whorehouse in the West" that anyone in Texas, much less anywhere else in America would be down on people dressing modestly, uniformly and talking nice to the queer notions of their critiques who ignore the Mennonites, Amish and private school dress with little regard, flirt with thoughts of depravity should have anything to say about a religion that is Christian and Christian principles.
I'm without a word how such terrorism is allowed to flourish in American and ashamed I cannot do anything more than write a few lines here and devote a large part of my own website and efforts to rally tolerance and a return of normalcy for these Ameircans.
Especially at odds is the fact there are millions of Mexican invaders running wild in our communities, raping, murdering, and taking our jobs and tax funds in welfare, education, health and penal institutions.
If I were visiting from another planet I would judge Texas as a cesspool, and the American leaders as ignorant bigots.
Glenn
Its to bad you have never been to Texas. Its pretty much like every other state. Not to say we dont have our faults like other states. But, Texas is a state where when there are wild fires in other states, that cant be controlled, Texas send extra firefighters to help. When there are hurricanes, and electricity is off all over a state, Texas send People who work for Power companies here, to those states. Just in the town I live in, this year alone, Habitat for Humanity with local Venders, Home Depot, Lowes, and many others, have built over 140 houses for the Poor, who would never otherwise be able to have one.
While FLDS children were in Custody, there were a group of elder women who got together and made Every CHILD a quilt of their own. They didnt have alot of money, but wanted to make the children feel like people did care about them. Is there crime in Texas, Yes there is, there is crime in every state.
Do people in Texas hate Flds, No they dont, but they have strong beliefs in child protection. You want to be angry at CPS, Okay, be angry at CPS. But dont call our state a cesspool, because of your anger.
For your information, you who has no name you're willing to sign but lots of accusations, I have two beautiful children that I raised by myself. I also have four wonderful grandchildren, and I watch two of them every day so my son and daughter in law can work and go to college to better their lives. My son's oldest boy has autism and requires extra attention and care because of it. I find your baseless accusations, based on nothing except my pointing out the hostile and decidedly "un-friendly" actions of the FLDS, to be hurtful. They are also an amazingly accurate example of the FLDS throwing out accusations rather than answering pointed questions. If you want America to understand and value you and/or your faith then it is time to a) follow the laws of America, particularly where it pertains to working or marrying off minors and b) quit isolating yourselves and get to know some of your fellow Americans. If people actually know you they are far more likely to be willing to sympathize with you. However your accusations seem to indicate a certain dislike and intolerance for your fellow Americans that leads me to believe you'd find it hard to make friends. To make a friend you have to BE a friend.
Glenn if the truth be known the FLDS
have their little cesspools.
Well, Rebecca I am glad you are happy. Texas was king to me. I was a little shocked at the Texas raid. How-ever you are right. There is a lot of things that need improved in C.P.S. I was in a place that helped people get jobs, who was on food stamps. This woman came in who was pregnant. She told the lady that was teaching the class, that she would have to miss some classes, because her doctor was worried about her baby. The woman told her that having a baby was no excuse, because lots of woman had baby's and worked full time. The woman was ill and had a fever. I liked Texas a lot. Like a lot; I was shocked at the raid. Who ever heard of such a terrible thing. And taking that girl from a Mother she obvously loved. I am grateful to hear that you all think Texas is a great state. Maybe Texas will have charity, for people they contend with; who want no war.
I guess Rebecca, I do not want any friends. I had one once and they betrayed me. I make a point to never make friends. I am very kind and nice to people, but I never let them in my life. If you love some one, the most terrible tragic things happen.
Anon 10:26 I am sorry to hear that you don't want to have friends. I've been betrayed by both family and friends. I have a hard time trusting people but I will never close myself off to the possiblity of friendship. Not only would that mean that the people who have hurt me in the past will be able to continue hurting me in the future, but it would also limit my life in a very tragic way. While I am perfectly happy not being a social butterfly, I still would find having no one in the world to laugh with or talk about my feelings with to be very, very sad. I hope you allow God to heal your heart one day so that you can enjoy life more.
Thank You, Rebecca. I do always let the Lord in. He is my freind. Yes, I agree with you. I was telling a girl the same thing. I help people a lot. I guess I need to let the past be gone, and enjoy this day.
I thought women weren't allowed to be on the internet?
I have just read "Stolen Innocence" and although there hasn't been a comment posted since 11/08, I need to add my 2 cents worth. i have read the posted comments about how the women in FLDS feel about the raid in Texas having their children torn away from their families. Yes. that was "horrible". But is it not also horrible to leave your 13 year old sons along the side of the road and abandom them with just the shirt on their back in the desert? Do you just pretend they don't and have never existed? Does it gladden your heart to turn your daughters preteen and teen daughters over to old men to be their play toys? When they have been taught that boys are "snakes", do you not realize the trauma these children are going through? Since the word "sex" is not in the FLDS vocabulary, what do you tell your daughters about marriage relations? Anything? Or do you just throw them to the wolves? If you worry about your children so much, why do you hide from those who have left? Case in point, Sharon Walls. Why is she hiding or being hidden from her children? What are you so afraid of? That your other daughters will leave? Less play toys for the men?
Our world isn't perfect. Your world isn't perfect either. You want to be left alone then stop marrying off your young daughters or leaving your sons along the side of the road. If the men want numerous wives, fine. But not the young girls! Don't throw them to the wolves! Let your daughters know what to expect once they are married!
I will be interested if any of my questions will be answered, not just addressed!
