Colorado City Library needs books

A couple years ago on Warrens Decree the Colorado City Public Library was shut down and the books burned as a symbol of coming out of the world and not partaking of her evils.

This library was situated in the middle of town with a small park around it. It was where everyone gathered in the fateful day in 53 when the government raided the town. It is also where the historic marker was put by the Barlow Brothers in commemoration of that Raid, that sparked Warrens wrath and kicked all of them out of town. Since 2003, there has been no library in town.

Time to change the way things are done.

Colorado City library needs books

By ABBIE GRIPMAN
Arizona Daily Sun

The library in Colorado City needs donations to rebuild its collection.

Colorado City and the neighboring city of Hildale, Utah, are the nucleus of a large population of members of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which is known its polygamous marriages and for blocking its members' access to education and information.

To help bring knowledge to the area, the donation of books and educational materials (National Geographic, news magazines and more) can be sent to Stefanie Colgrove, P.O. Box 1935, Hildale, Utah, 84784, or in care of Charlotte at the Colorado City Post Office, Colorado City, AZ 86021, or they can be brought to Mary Black at Flagstaff's main post office on Postal Boulevard. Donations can also be mailed cheaply by using the post office's Media Mail service.

"This is a most worthy cause as these women and children have had no access to books (or television or the Internet) for a long time, if ever, and education is the ticket to freedom," Black said. "I have been (to Colorado City) several times on postal business and found the women to be extremely isolated and curious about the outside world."

Another article about it.

I can promise you if Stephanie Colgrove puts it in her house, nobody but her family will get to use it. It has to be a public building. I would like to know if the old library is UEP or Town. Cause if it is, lets use it. Nobody else is.

Wow what a statement! It's a lie but maybe it will help gather books. In that case it is OK

Did anyone ask Wisan if there was a location that could be used?

Are you ready to pay the expenses involved, file a non profit status?

You need someone to organized the volunteers if you use volunteers or pay a libarian.

Usually a libraries are run by counties or cities.

Maybe it could be organized under the UEP?

You might have to have it out of Mrs. Colgroves home for now until you figure out the public part.

It is going to take hard work and knowledge.

The books are the easy part.

...Playboy, Playgirl, novels, commercialization, and corruption, etc..."to help bring knowledge to the area"...And Adam knew his wife, and she begat Cain...yup, Holy Cain to raise cain, and anything to demolish the UEP, and then call it UEP: Unified Educational Playboys, sent by the LDS Church to wreak havoch and to destroy (Rev.11:18).

Sorry, my pictures are of beautiful men and women in longjohns and glowing fine linen (Gen.41:42):

"An Pharaoh took off his ring from off his hand, and put it upon Joseph's hand, and arrayed him in vestures of fine linen, and put a gold chain about his neck".

"Fine": Zaqaq: Purged, purified, and refined bodies or personages,
to desire and to seek God (YFZ). Towb: Good, best, and favored, to call.

"Linen": White, radiant threads, lines, and fields (flds) of Separation, set apart, hallowed, emptied, as in string-theory, to prepare them as angels, to oversee the energies and the elements of creation, stricken and thrown down to be raised up (FLDS). Service, sixth sense and dimension.

Linen, as lines in a book, and the elements of which a book is made (linen or papyrus). See, fine-linen is the finest of all the libraries in the world. It is the covering of the Holy Spirit, which bringeth to light all knowledge upon the earth, and through all eternity. It is the source of all knowledge and power, through a perfect faith, against all obstacles and diversions. It is the Power of God on the earth, and few are able to find such a treasure. It is the National Treasure. All other knowledge and power is weak and corrupt, and cannot stand.

For you information, the public school (El Capitan School) has a very nice library that is open to the public. They even have it open on Fridays when students are not on campus. Please feel welcome to take advantage of the wealth of information there.

onthestreet said...

Ahh, but is there a Book Of Mormon in there? Are the classics there, the classic sermons of the latest Prophets. See, a Friday fish-fry without the living word, is just a dead-fish, yes? But, you have plenty of paper to keep the fires going.

I'm sure there might be one or two of you who beg to differ, the operative word being "beg". And, of course, I'll certainly take it under advisement, let you worship how, where, or what you may.

I guess as long as you kiddies have "Dick and Jane", and a few racey photos to gawk at, most of you will be plumb happy. But I'm telling you, with too many plumbs you've got diarrhea. Then, you'll really need alot of paper from your library.

Keep her squeeky clean, and you'll begin to see the light of day. The Four Standard Works are my Library. What, pray tell, is greater than God?

Helping bridge a religious divide
Woman hoping to unite FLDS, ex-FLDS through new library

By Ben Winslow
Deseret Morning News
February 1, 2008

Colgrove's mother asked the fiduciary for the court-controlled United Effort Plan Trust to give her an old school building built by her father to serve as the library. The UEP Trust controls homes, businesses and property in these border communities. The courts took control in 2005 after allegations surfaced that Jeffs and other top FLDS leaders mismanaged it.

I loved the library when it was open before. I have always been a reader. I am glad to see the efforts to bring one back into town, but I do not think the people the books are meant to reach will ever see them. Uncaduff is right.

However, I will be optimistic that if left alone from the FLDS influence for a few years the people who remain because they weren't faithful enough to be removed to one of the compounds will begin to trickle in discreetly.

Feb.1-Tx & Polyg. Library

According to Deseret Mourning News, “Colgrove hatched (the idea to rebuild the library)”. Hatched? Hey, Hammon-eggs. She eventually wound up in Pahrump, Nevada. What! Where was that paw? Oh, never mind. You people enjoy your books.

“Woman hoping to unite FLDS, ex-FLDS through new library”. I don’t think those within the FLDS will unite through gentile books. That’s just not Fundamentalist, nor is it Latter Day Saint. “Know ye not that friendship with the world is enmity with God”? (James 4:4). But, “We believe in worshipping God according to our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may”. So, enjoy your little building of books, to your heart’s content.

Colgrove blames Jeffs for creating the divide, saying he broke apart families and cast others out of the faith (Mt. 10:34). "He took a lot away. He put the fear of God into people instead of the love of God," she said. "God doesn't want people to fear him. He wants people to love him."

“But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear Him which…hath power to cast into hell” (Luke 12:5).

“Dost thou not fear God, seeing thou art in the same condem-nation”? (Luke 23:40).

“Then had the churches rest…walking in the fear of the Lord” (Act 9:31).

“And the way of peace, they have not known: There is no fear of God before their eyes” (Romans 3:17).

“Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of flesh and spirit” (the books and writings and doctrines of men), perfecting holiness in the fear of God”.

See, I’m sure that what you meant wasn’t that “God doesn’t want people to fear him”, but rather, that God DOES want people to fear him. Am I correct? Do you see where people fall away, and thinking they are right? “Satan deceiveth the whole world” (Rev.12:9). The Bible-Belt communities know that this is true, the very Word of God.

Hey, I like to hop in the sack and cuddle with a novel little thing every night, just as long as it's my Three-In-One book, or the Four Standard LDS Scriptures that I'm cuddling with. See, that makes me a GREAT lover, a lover of God, not some alley-cat. Let's see you make love to a book, by letting God make the love.

REAL SPORTS WITH BRYANT GUMBEL

SPOTLIGHTS COLORADO CITY’S UNLIKELY BASKETBALL PROGRAM

WHEN IT RETURNS FEB. 11, EXCLUSIVELY ON HBO 131st edition debuts MONDAY, FEB. 11 (10:00 PM ET/PT), exclusively on HBO.

*New School. For the residents of Colorado City, Ariz., the El Capitan High School basketball program signifies change in a community desperate for something new. For years, Colorado City has been infamous for the practice of polygamy and for being the home of the Fundamentalist Church of Latter Day Saints (FLDS) and its recently imprisoned prophet, Warren Jeffs. Now, as the town looks to emerge from Jeffs’ shadow, its inhabitants see the El Capitan basketball program as a vehicle to introduce Colorado City to the outside world and dispel the myths surrounding the community’s residents, many of whom have no link to the FLDS. Correspondent Andrea Kremer reports this intriguing story.

In this political season, when politicians try to tell you which books to read and which forms of entertainment to entertain, you have substantial pickings from either nostril. Propriety would dictate that you pick a candidate with more fluidity than the coagulation of a booger.

That's what politicians become when they presume to tell people what their preferred law is for churches and communities, and the private organization of families, matters that are between God and man and much more amenable to the public good.

Here's an old Statler Brother song.

YOU’VE BEEN LIKE A MOTHER TO ME:
made popular by the Statler Brothers (See and hear the song in Live Concert at this link):
http://elfreebo.com/?module=SearchList&q=y...to+me&submit=go

She's seen me through lots of troubles.
She's stayed up nights so I could sleep.
She's given me more than comfort.
She's given me something I can keep.
I love her, and I need her,
And I want to be with her all the time.
I'd fight just to keep her,
And I'd die if I thought she wasn't mine.

I love her every morning.
Thank God for her every night.
I worship the ground she stands on,
And I stand on the ground she'll be alright.
When you need me, you know I'll be there.
'Cause you've always been there for me.
America, God Knows I love you.
'Cause you've been like a mother to me.
America, we've been through troubles.
And we'll make it again, just wait and see.
America, God knows I love you.
'Cause you've been like a mother to me.

America, stand up and show it,
That you're proud of the red, white, and blue.
You love her, and you know it.
'Cause she's been like a mother to you.

(Crescendo): America….!

SBarlow: Thank you so very kindly. No greater compliment could be given (2/12/2008 3:23 PM)

NonnyMouse (2/12/2008 3:27 PM). Stat-ler is Stat as in status, and brothers as in brotherhood, both of which are well-known hallmarks of the FLDS. So it fits, as well as the great patriotism of their country and gospel music. Patriotism or Patriarchy is also a great hallmark of the FLDS, as the world knows full well, the honoring of the Father. “There is none good but the Father”, saith the Lord (Mt.19:16), so all else is evil.

Obviously, anything that is not good is evil, but the Father is in patriotic or gospel music. So yes, this is why we listen to the Prophet’s voice, for he’s the father, and a thousand times over, who saith that we accept all truth wherever it is found, and it is certainly found in gospel and patriotic music, is it not.

As for The Red, White, and Blue (G-K-C): The Trinity.

RED: Adam or Edom, ruin, fermentation, consumed by the judgment of death. Left Temple

WHITE: Enoch, ab-original, sheer, light, Crown.

BLUE: Christ, or violet. The color obtained and dyed therewith, by violence unto the mercy of life. Right Temple.

See, Patriotism or Patriarchy, The Father.

Thomas Vaughn Barlow age 47, will be spending 21 months in Federal Prison for threatening the IRS and other government official. He was sentence Thursday according to the news report.

onthestreet said...

And that has to do with the CC Library how? Just kidding. Oh, yah, with all that time on his hands, he can definitely get some good old Mormon reading done, so your comment is right on the mark.

If I remember right, it wasn't his tax protests, but his threatening to bomb somebody. Yikes. The folly of youth, even at 47. He threatened the Feds, the Governor, the Attorney General…who else…all bearing the sword not in vain (Romans 13: 4).

Even if they do take 50% of your earnings in taxes, through an agency that was created by fraud (www.apfn.net/Doc-100_bankruptcy20.htm), “the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power resisteth the ordinance of God, for rulers are not a terror to good works…for he is a minister of God to thee for good” (Romans 13:1-4). Let them take what they can, even steal it. Nothing is ours but God’s, and all shall turn for good to them who love the Lord (D&C 90:24, 105:40). It is only His place to put the oppressor in his place. Our experiences in this life are preordained for greater things.

Phillipians 1:19: “For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer. 2:8: Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ.

So study hard my friend, and get knowledge that counts. It is the law of God to sacrifice all things earthly.

Just one question: “Proposals” to do what? When alley-cats get together, yah yah yah, that only means one thing: Rapor and Rapee, then the cat fight and a dead mouse or two. Nasty perverts! It is like courting a nasty book or magazine, idol CC Library style, because with that you have idoled your pure study and affection for God, who requires the whole heart and mind. I’ll stick with God’s proposal and the most sublime FLDS system of marriage. It is ideal. It is heavenly. It is salvation.
