and what do you think Lanore had. what do you think a lot of people had and no one was out of a house. Not one person. And i hope they have an encredible life. I hope they can find peace. I shall tell you a story. This is a real story. I went to Salt Lake once. There was a millionare woman dieing. One of my Mother's took care of her. Her family would not. They would not touch her. They was waiting for her to die, so they could divide her things. I wondered at life and death. What a thing to have, great riches and your family waiting to divide your stuff. I decided i did not want to be rich. And to what use was her money? Only to bring a stranger in to care for her. And unity and love would have stretched farther. And in heaven, God has built many kingdoms. And on earth too, men are blessed.

and a long time ago, a man walked away from his house and his faith. He thinks to get it back. He has land. He has money. he has a wife. He still fights for what he turned from, but what he does not have is his faith or peace. what price we all pay. My heart goes out to the man. I know the path he will walk. I know the pain he will carry. I know pizza and sweet victory over a house, can never bring peace. I know that love and faith in God will touch deeper than any friends who may have talked him into turning from his family. I knew his brother who made that same choice. i cried to see his pain. i cried to see his misery. i cried to see his freinds and pizza and battle to be more important than what he already had. Houses are empty. They are void. They are good to have, but love and unity is greater. And there are not any FLDS goons. I am sorry that you feel this way. Merril Stubbs is one who also turned from his blessings to fight over what he had. I wish him peace too, if such a thing is possible. because money does not quite give unity.

OK, Lets be poor so that we can STILL have a stranger come in an care for us, because our family is so fanatically religious they won't even acknowledge we are alive.

I shall tell you a story,

There was a good man that had a large family and had done everything for the religion that he was apart of. He read the books and applied them to his life. He was the best man I have ever known. But towards the end of his life, he forgot that religion was for him, and he took identity from his religion. He couldn't even remember his name -- all he could remember was that he was FLDS. Because he was such a good man, the thugs that ran the church couldn't deal with him. They can only deal with people who will lie to themselves and others and this man would never lie. So out he went with nothing but the clothes on his back. And his family turned away from him and knew him not.

verry good point saar.
there is a lot of men that have done the same. how can they say that we fail from the faith, how can they say what we belive in becouse we were kick out. i still belive in ower lord and savior. am i a bad man becouse i dont put my trust in the arm of flesh. like the good books say not to and becuse the lord said not to have no other gods befor him. uncle roy use to hold up the three and one and say to go and check it out and if it did not add up dont belive it so who is right and who is wrong? warren jeffs or uncle roy.

Ruth, Do you really believe Warren Jeffs is doing God's will by tearing families apart and sending fathers away?

have you looked in the book of mormon and read it. I love it. and to be poor is better than to fight. God put all upon the earth for every soul. Is it then that we are out of oil and tree's or is it that a little greed has sprung.

Anonymous said...

anonymous 10:41 pm
you talk about greed why dont you look at how greedie the yfz people are. you want to be poor in a world that takes a lot of money to live in. i dont want to be rich eather but i dont want to be poor eather.

Anonymous said...

With god, no man is ever truly poor. He does bless abundantly. America is rich in bounty. God does bless all daily. I guess my point is, not money. It is the matter of love. Money does not feed a soul. With out soil and rain, money would be usless. With out love in a mother and childs arms, money would never conect them. I know there are a lot of people in the world who have been hurt. I know there are a lot of people who need love and comfort. Would a house give it? Or was it possibly that you wanted a mother to love you. i have seen people in riches and contending to put others from there home. I have heard this. Would it be easier to build again, and ask God to bless you. Peace is built in your heart. And peace is a comforting gift. And a man or woman who walks with God is never poor. Read Daniel in the Lion's den. Read of Alma. Read the history of the early pioneers. Look around you. Great riches flow. Look at the birds in spring, and fresh green upon the desert. Look at the blue blamy sky and sage. Pine tree's. Sunsets. God is the greatest giver. Take hold of it. And always looking at another mans pasture never watered your own. Many people from the beginning of time have been cheated. read of Able and cain. God then did continue on in goodness. And oh, i do so hope you can find joy and peace, before your journy into the next life. time is but a moment. to short to waste on contention. And has the earth ceased to poor forth her rich abundant oil? Has she stopped producing tree's? All men live. All men die. and did you enjoy your journey? or is it that contention and greed has sprung? and no gold bar has stopped a person on there journey from this world.

Does anybody know what ever happened to a woman who was posting on this forum under the name "just me?"

Haven't heard from her in a while and wonder if she is still lurking or if she was effectively cut off from the outside world.

If a man had some precious treasure, and robbers robbed him and left him to die, Who is to blame here? (the robbers you say), and who is the loser?
similar story told by JYB

Anonymous said...

and here is another story; A man did rob another, and who was the loser? the robber lost his dignaty. The robbed lost a thing. The thing was found again upon the highway, and the dignity of the robber forever fled away. In the hour that he repented, he again restored the robbed, and again the one who was stolen from found a blessings upon the high way. Then came one, and took anothers life. When then can that theif give back what was taken? There sat the one crowned in heaven with God and the other forever forgotten.

Check out this article on Judas.

From what I understand, the apostles of Jesus were actually apostates from their religion, so that they could fulfill a higher calling.

Anonymous said...

The law of moses was a lesser law. The people chose the lesser law. And think today, if you was a presbiterian, or a methidost, or a babtist, or any other religion by name and did not follow after Christ, where in then did you falter, and was you an apostate to turn and follow your God?

Anonymous said...

and just so there is no mistake in my words, The law of Moses was an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth. The law of Christ is, if a man ask you to go a mile go two. If a man ask of you a coat, give your cloak also. Love them that hate you. bless them that despise you. He who gives his life for Christs sake shall find it. Cast not your pearls before swine. Forgive them that hate you. Pray for them that despitefully use you. ect. ect.

So Street, according to your quote about the Savior not bringing peace, Issac must be the Savior because of the way he participates in Activism against the FLDS goons.

Anonymous said...

Sounds just like what Isaac is doing. He is wrestling against spiritual wickedness in high places--the hypocrisy of the "prophet".

Anonymous said...

I would ask you one thing. Why do you hate god and good so much? What is it that you are missing in your life? This to 11;14 poster. I feel for you. I hope you find peace. It is a terrible thing to take anger and unbelieve into the next world. LIght a candle in your window. Maybe you will find a place to rest.

Contention and democracy and heated debates are a lot better than pious dictatorship. I'll take freedom to contend anyday over saying like perfect obedience produces perfect contr--I mean faith.

Quiz for Street--Who said "Give me liberty of give me death"?

If he finds the answer it is the result of a Google search. He doesn't know anything that he can't immediately access on the computer. Decision making is not his forte.

i have to say something, i believe that i am compeled to inform you all that this is a war that you are not going to win. Everyone is going to lose, think about who you are fighting with. you are not fighting Warren or those of his henchmen that you all feel this hatred towards. you are fighting your brothers your sisters, cousins, parents and family. People that you once claimed as friends, yet now are so willing to abandon because you are blind. Just because you feel that you are not able to find a solution, a compromise to the issues that are facing the community does not give one the right to take it all back. Each one of you have a list of slights, of troubles that you all calaim have been cast upon you because of your past, yes there is some valitity to each one of these, yet when you talk, you are doing the very thing to your "friends" that you claim that they are have done to you. How do you call this justice or rest when the end of the night comes when you have, betrayed that trust? When is family and community, the vow of freindship more important than land and money? With blind religion it is hard to make these judgments on people yet you are making them, and you feel no qualms about what chaos and troubles you leave in your wake. Is it truely ok to forsake your own principles and vows if you believe that the other side had forgotten theirs? If you believe that we are going to come out of this on an up side you are under a great delusion. With everyone in this battle for themselves, there is not enough unity or compassion to truely find the solutions that you are looking for. All of you think that you are right, that your opinions are more valid that those around you. you have forgotten how to listen, you have forgotten empathy, and you have all forgetten love.

Anonymous said...

Well, Ruth your dear Warren's opinions are more valid than those around him, Warren has forgotten how to listen and Warren has forgotten empathy and Warren has all forgetten love.

Warren deserves you ire.

Warren has betrayed the TRUST.

Anonymous said...

First the comments were not made by Ruth. Are you so set in typecasting that you are not able to read the difference? sometimes it seems to me that those that closest to the battle are the ones that are not able to see what is really happening. I have never argued in defense of Warren and truely believe that he will recieve the judgement that is due to him. But I have a question, you say that you are fighting gor the families you have left behind that are not willing to fight for themselves,Are you really? Or are you fighting for yourselves out of a sense of vengence and injured pride. I am asking because it seems funny way of fighting for your families. Remember that there are always more than one side of the story, and a hatred of one man does not justify the devestation of a entire people.

Anonymous said...

Annon. 4/28 @ 5:43 makes some very rational points worth your consideration. WJ will die or be captured. Another leader will rise. How he conducts himself will depend upon who is willing to follow and how much they are willing to give of their time and money in support of his cause(s).

It seems as if everyone of you is kin to everyone else so, the quarrel is essential a family squabble. If those of you outside WJ's sphere of influence will bury the "hatchet" and organize, you would be able to accomplish a lot of things you can't under WJ's autocratic rule. Just a thought.

Actually It is called "Unjust enrichment" and all those who get free houses and never had to make payments and build their own are the ones bellyaching.

No one is trying to WIN a war, if it is a war. I am not fighting my brothers and sisters. I am looking at a culture that imbraced a man instead of God and I am watching them get flushed down the toilet. What was a community is no more. They have nothing to offer.
Communities are about family time, but I guess they don't know what family means anymore.

No Church
No social gatherings
No holidays
No birthdays
No parades
No recreation

Rulon Jeffs said "If you are not for me, you are against me."
That is what Hitler said too.

So those who chose to not be apart of the FLDS religion and still be apart of the UEP can go through the same thing that those 20 years ago went thru. History repeats itself, because we repeat history.
Thank goodness for the "Answer them nothing" command from Warren Jeffs. It makes it ALOT easier.

and a hatred of one man does not justify the devestation of a entire people.

Actually it is the love of one man that is doing the devestation. This is NOT outside forces. It is boiling from the inside.

Anon. 5/2 2:01

Does anyone who has been a part of the "in crowd" notice that many of those who were your brothers yesterday have suddenly lost favor with Jeffs and now are required to repent from afar. How do you know that you are the next one on his "hit" list? You don't. The man in unstable and that reward just keeps getting bigger and bigger. The question is not your loyalty to him, but his loyalty to you. Do you see him demonstrate that kind of protection in behalf of those who were close followers yesterday, but who are gone today. Who's wife did you service last night? Didn't you sense that you are involved in an adulterous relationship?

It is so sad that Warren has done many wrongs and is taking an entire community down the road of destruction because of his bad behavior.

Why?

How can the community let this continue to happen?

rumor-has-it said...

Look at the psychology behind it. Warren controls the relationships and homes.
* He switches houses on them, tells them they are doing right and the priesthood wants to take care of them.
* He gives them other peoples wives, tells them they were more righteous than the last guy. At a whim, you can be out a wife and house.
*He shuts down all church and community gatherings. If they actually had church, they would see how many people are missing and start wondering.
*He conquers by dividing. They think that the government is doing it because that is what Warren says. There is no logic!

Anonymous said...

The people know nothing! They are completely ignorant. If they would just start looking and asling questions, and listen to the answers, even just talking among themselves, they would be miles ahead.

Anonymous said...

STREET’s Reply: Christ did the very same: ANSWERED THEM NOTHING, and commanded the true saint to come OUT OF THE WORLD and be not partakers of her plagues and her sins, and have NOTHING to do with their church, their gatherings, their holidays, their birthdays, their parades, and recreation. God Himself said it: “If ye are not for me, ye are against me”.

See? Where does this put YOU? As an enemy to God, and to all people everywhere who seek His face, yearing for Zion.

By onthestreet, at 5/04/2006 1:00 AM

Street Jesus did not separate himself from sinners. He sought them out so he could give them hope.

Why did Jesus attend a wedding and turn the water into wine,(PARTY) why did he preach to the 4,000 and 5,000 people and fed them (CHURCH). Jesus traveled among the wealthy and poor and road on a young donkey going into Jeruselum before PASSOVER-HOLIDAY and the crowd laid palm leaves before him (PARADE).

My Jesus taught how to LIVE among the world, but be separate and love the sinner. Jesus preached is easy to love the lovely, but hard to love someone who hates you.

I am glad I don't know your Jesus.

Anonymous said...

Isn't it interesting that Peter denied Jesus three times and yet he wasn't cast out. However, with Warren, just the sin of asking "What are the grounds against my father that you kicked him out" is just grounds for getting kicked out. If Jesus cast out sinners like Warren does, he would have cast out all eleven and kept Judas as his partner in crime.
