You have a little more info than that? Like where, when did she die, etc?

Actually, the only information I have is that they are having a funeral at the meeting house in CC. So I called the mortuary people and that is all the information they gave me. I didn't see an obit in the papers or anything

They have a date or time? There was no death notice or anything--how did you find out?

Makes you wonder if they were gonna tell her kids.

The only children she was allowed to recognize as her own know. She had to tell those who did not follow warren that she did not accept them as family anymore. Very sad as I know how much she loved them. She was very close to all her children in or out, before warren came along. Another sad chapter in the mayhem of warren.

Shirley has been in very poor health for some time. Maybe her son Sam getting the boot was too much for her. Sad, sad. I hope the best for all of her family.

Please tell Boyd that I send my most sincere condolences to him. I know what it is to lose a precious Mother. I still love him from my herat.

All the best to you my dear child sweetheart.

I think we would have been so awsome together... I still love you!!

The FLDS want members only to come to the funerals, because they have NOTHING to offer to the living.

Those who die get the easy way out. All the rest of us have to live with the destructions happening to our friends and families

Mourning at a funeral has taken on a whole new meaning and direction. We used to not know what it meant to mourn for the dead.

Anonymous said...

The mourning is as of those who have no hope. How terribly sad that they have placed their hope and trust in so unworthy an individual as Warren Jeffs, that even in times of death he can provide nothing. He is a hollow shell, no heart, no soul, no mind.
A vacuum without anything, but the power he holds over those who cling to his hopeless ways. Offers much, delivers nothing.

STREET's Reply: Mothers are very close to their children only before children go along in the opposite direction, and reject the word of their Father and God. How can a queen of heaven imbibe rebellion or corruption, if she is a queen of heaven.

Eve rejected Cain, and followed her faithful husband Adam, while Cain was left to wander: "A fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth" (Gen. 4:12).

Oh yes, she loved him, saying of him: " I have gotten a man from the LORD" (Gen 4:1), before his own actions separated them.

Hereby do good women learn right from wrong, and all that good women go through will turn for their good. They will lose nothing, for it will all turn to glorify the Father. "There is none good but the Father". A good woman is one tied irrevokably to the good father in her family, and the good father over the Church.

Yes, she may well have been close to them "before Warren came along", for what did Jesus Himself say?

34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

36 And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household.

37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.

39 He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.

40 He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.

41 He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward; and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward.

42 And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.

Talk about “the mayhem of Warren”. It looks exactly like “the Mayhem of Jesus”.

STREET’s Reply: How ya doin, punk? If you’re going to continue to be sensational, you need to make sense. You say “the mourning of those who have NO HOPE. Then you rightly say they HAVE HOPE in the Prophet. Now, I don’t know about the rest of you, but “rcn” is more like an acronymn for “rancid” than anything intelligible. Times of death IS nothing, so he provides the right thing, unlike anyone else.

Death has become nothing, for Christ gave the victory to those who gain the First Resurrection, according to the conditions that qualify them for that victory and grace. Others have His grace to eventually be resurrected, but resurrected to what, eternal life or eternal judgement? “Narrow is the way that leads to eternal life, AND FEW there be that find it”.

Now, if you’re a sensationalist, or “sensual and devilish” as the scripture puts it, then you will pander to the heartstrings on a false premise, and thereby brand yourself as “no heart, no soul, no mind”. You say that the Prophet “offers much, delivers nothing”. God offers much, but what can he deliver to the rebellious? To the righteous like Shirley, he has delivered everything, and now she has gained the right to eternity, if she was faithful to him.

Pull your head out Street and look at the real picture.

When are you people going to learn! Street is not here to defend Warren or the FLDS. Just look at his last post. He is just being a smartass. He is being a naughty boy and trying to get a reaction out of any one who will give it to him. He desperately needs attention and negative attention is better than no attention to him.
As long as you people keep biting, he'll keep fishing here.

I would hate to ride as a passenger in any type of vehicle you were either operating or attempting to direct or navigate. Your pathway to any goal is crooked, your message so convoluted and your profit so despicable that SANE people do not buy into your theme.

YOU HAVE NO CLUE AS TO WHAT YOU BELIEVE, WHY YOU BELIEVE WHAT YOU DO, NOR DO YOU SHOW ANY SIGN OF HOPE FOR THE FUTURE OR FOR ANYONE FOLLOWING YOUR OBTUSE TRAIL.

YOU ARE BLIND ATEMPTING TO LEAD BLIND ALONG A TRECHEROUS MOUNTAIN TRAIL WITH NEITHER A SEEING EYE DOG OR EVEN A CANE TO FIND YOUR PATHWAY.

NO SIGHT, NO DIRECTION, NO FOOD FOR THE HUNGRY, NO REST FOR THE WEARY, NO HOPE FOR REACHING A GOAL BEAUSE YOU HAVE NONE. YOUR FUTURE IS A VACUUM DRAWN FROM THE PIT OF HELL.

PATHOS YOU WOULD DESIRE FOR YOUR NAME, ONLY YOU ARE UNWORTHY FOR SUCH DISTINCTION.

So, do you seek pity, do my words give you sorrow? What is Pathos?

A quality that arouses emotions (especially pity or sorrow).

I base all my words on God's Word. If to you that is sorrowful, pity on you. If it is blindness and starvation to you, a crooked path, then ye have no hope.

You call my words, and I quote you, "a treacherous mountain trail". Thank you so much. That is the very thing that Christ calls Himself, The Way: "Straight, Narrow", Treacherous (etc).

"Straight is the gate and narrow the way that leadeth to eternal life, and few there be that enter therin" (Jesus Christ).

Good job, RCN.

I have no quarrel with the road illustration, but miss your point. You are obviously getting your directions from a different map, and it must be recorded in 'Reformed Egyptian' instead of the Braille you need to guide you in your confusion. A question comes: How, if a person is blind, can they see through stone spectacles to be able to read anything in order to translate into modern language? I guess to a blind person it wouldn't natter that the map was in the bottom of an upturned hat.

Twisted and turning are certainly neither straight nor narrow. Those adjectives describe a road to perdition.

Parley Harker used to tell a story about a guy who was asked how close to the edge of the cliff he could drive without falling off. They guy said he didn't know, he tried to stay away from the edge.

STREET’s Reply: “Thou he is blind, he seeth”. “Of these stones, I will raise up seed unto me”, saith the Lord, and it is the very stone that Joseph the Prophet was given by the Lord to translated the Word of God. But what happens? In every generation, the wicked are driven from the earth, as the devil will soon be, to rule over his own. This is well illustrated in a conversation between Satan and Joseph, much like Satan and Christ had an interesting conversation betimes, and Christ also had to put him in his place:

[33] Devil: As we are both temperance men and ministers, I think perhaps a glass of spruce beer apiece will be alright; what say you Mr. Smith?

[34] Smith: As you please your majesty. (They take the beer)

[35] Devil: (Holding up glass) Come, Mr. Smith, your good health. I propose we offer a toast.

[36] Smith: Well proceed.

[37] Devil: Here's to my good friend, Joe Smith, may all sorts of ill-luck befall him, and may he never be suffered to enter my kingdom, either in time or eternity, for he would almost make me forget that I am a devil, and make a gentleman of me, while he gently overthrows my government at the same time that he wins my friendship.

[38] Smith: Here to his Satanic Majesty; may he be driven from the earth and be forced to put to sea in a stone canoe with an iron paddle, and may the canoe sink, and a shark swallow the canoe and its royal freight and an alligator swallow the shark and may the alligator be bound in the northwest corner of hell, the door be locked, key lost, and a blind man hunting for it.

Shirley Roundy will certainly be pleased.

Would she really?

I wonder...........

onthestreet said...

You will still be wondering, long into the eternities.

Just a minute--I though according to you that Faithful would quickly be reduced to native elements and cease to exist. At least now you admit she will have eternal life if she will be wondering long into the eternities.

onthestreet said...

But you forget: The spirit is eternal, while bodies are destroyed. Devils will be wondering long into the eternities, but do they have eternal life? He will be bound first for a thousand years, then released for a little while to exercise, and then bound forever. Yet, there will still be a devil.

And to think that we two souls sat in the same meeting hall, listening to a prophet's voice.
