Sign up for Google Account

The powers that be at Blogger/Google made the decision to migrate this blog to the Google side of their empire. Regular contributors need to sign up for a Google Account with their old user name. Just follow this LINK.

It's fairly straight forward. Once you've established your new google account you can log in and create new posts just like it was in the old days.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

  1. I don't like the new google thing.

I stay logged in when I do all my google searching - I DON'T like that.

So, I might just not sign in anymore and leave my sig at the bottom

    atar

  2. Yeah... I signed up right as the changes were happening, and I haven't had a problem. I think I'm good. :)

Are Atar and Atari two different people?

    ReplyDelete
  3. nope, I'm the same person - but I realized it's easy for someone to imitate if I'm not signed in.

SO...I'll go back to posting with my sign in - and try to remember to log out of google when I search.

The atari sounds more like I'm into video games - which I'm not.

  4. Ok. I can understand that. I'll call you Atar from now on. But....(sigh)... there goes my cute little visual of you playing Frogger and Pole Position when you were ten.

  5. Now, Atar, where DID you get your name from. And what's the origin of bbgae? What's fttc stand for? Uncaduff, where are you coming from?

    TBM is self-explanotory, I think :-)

  6. I signed up for this blog a couple years ago after a trip to SLC.

This will sound inflammatory, but it's truthful. I had never understood LDS, and so the basement of the visitor center was my little tutorial. However, when I came to Moroni, I had to hold my hand over my mouth to stop from laughing.

I'm looking at the whole thing coming from a 'moron'. So when I joined, I was looking for a subtle name (otherwise I probably would have used something like stupidi. So I looked through some Greek, Latin, Hebrew dictionaries. I can't even remember now what atar means.

Initially it meant something, for some reason, and the 'i' on the end was just because of 'moroni.

I didn't intend to stay for probably more than a couple posts. But I found the topics were so interesting, and I had SO MUCH TO LEARN from everyone here. Plus a lot to think about.

I have changed many opinions since being here, and chatting with all sorts of different people. I've been forced to evaluate what I believed and why I believed it. Not all my beliefs have changed, but some have.

  8. TBM- I think these are your initials. I noticed I've switched places with the B and the M on a few of my posts. Please forgive me for this. It is because I know several people with the same initials and every time I see yours I think Thomas M. Barlow.

Balance Between Good And Evil= bbgae. In other words, a ying-yang. When I first signed up I wanted to be ying-yang, but all the varaitions were allready taken, and bbgae was all I could come up with at the time.

I love ying-yangs! This is going to sound crazy, but the idea of two complex shapes like tear drops fitting together in perfect balance to form one strong shape (think how structurally sound a tower is because it is round) is so beautiful to me. Not only that, I am found of duality. I do not mean the human weakness and ability to decieve, but rather the idea that there is good and bad simotaniously present in everything. You know, the whole "There is some bad in the best of us, and some good in the worst of us, so it ill behooves any of us to critize the rest of us," saying. I also adore cute little evil cartoon characters, like Stitch and Zim.

I joined this blog, because I was a little home sick, and it was the first place I found where the 411 of C.C. was discussed- and because after reading all of you people's funny and intelligent posts, I just wanted to communicate with you. :)

You once stated that "atar" meant "All truth and righteousness"

  10. I honestly have no recollection. I'm going back through my earliest posts. The blog started in Feb 05 and I think my first post was in April 05

This was it .... but I hadn't gotten my name yet. The title of the thread was 'Big Temple, Little Steeple'

"It's a rather indelicate topic in such circles as these, but some token of the successes Mr. Jeffs has had in his prolific insemination of young girls had to be erected, excuse me, built.

However, because of the stalwart adherence to build things according to all truth and righteousness - the steeple, out of necessity, had to be erected to only a short distance."

  11. I have been too busy to spend much time here for a while. I took on a comunity volunteer position that is taking twice as much time as I anticipated. It is rewarding work though so I am not complaining.

When I first came on here I chose an ID that reflected how I felt about leaving the FLDS. I told several people when I left that rather than being actually kicked out I just felt like I had 'Fallen Through The Cracks'. As I looked closer at myself I later stated that it meant 'Faithful To The Cause'. I have held to the belief system as it was before warren came along. Really I never left it. He and those who made his ascension to power possible have so changed things that they hardly relflect the way our people believed 30 years ago. I never did accept many of the teachings given by the 'faithful' elders through those years.

I have really enjoyed following the many discussions that have taken place since I came on and the opportunity to put in a word here and there. The many ideas have made me look a lot harder at my beliefs. I have to say that I am stronger in my convictions from all the retrospection than otherwise.

  12. I can't see how anyone would let you slip from their fingers. You are someone i would be so proud to know fttc!

  13. When I was a kid I got teased because every time I was embarrassed my ears would go bright red. They are glowing now! Thanks for the compliment. I am just a regular guy doing regular things. Nothing very exciting. I am glad to know you too. We better be careful though or someone will give us a cybersplash again. :)

    ReplyDelete
  14. I am proud to know both of you. To heck with the cyber splash- I say go for it...

THEN, I can sing "Fttc and Atar sitting in a tree...."

    (just kidding)

    :)

    ReplyDelete
  15. fttc and I respect each other, but detest sitting in trees.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Sorry, Atar.

    I was only teasing.

  17. Since this is a place for debates, and that is what happens most of the time here, I just think it's nice when people stop and 'shake hands'.

    Or joke. It's nice.

Neither one of you deserve a cyber splash. I was teasing you so you wouldn't feel self-concious.

    Smile :)

(I think maybe I'm posting a little too much and everyone is sick of me, so i'm going to go away for a little while.)

    ReplyDelete
  18. I thought the the FLDS Barbie and Malibu Ken vs. 'The Skinny Guy' was FUNNY. I laughed and laughed. Then, I reasd it to my hunny and he laughed. I do not think you deserved that first cyber splash.(It probabally came from the grouchy Anon. anyway.)

I'll be back in a week or so.

    ReplyDelete
  19. bbgae - I'm not upset at all - just busy with so much my head is spinning (you probably noticed I'm rather scarce this past week).

I guess you haven't been on long enough to see me all riled up.

    When I am - you KNOW it : )

I tend not to skulk away...but become like a miriam webster on-fire ninja. (it's not always pretty - but some times I do my best work).

  20. Okay, after a week's break, I'm back, as mean and punchy as ever. Tremble ye ruffians and ye false-swearers, for I am ready to wield my sword of truth in the defense of God and the right!

And indulge in absurd hyperbole, of course :-)

    ReplyDelete
  21. I feel faint with anticipation, my fingers pulsating in anticipation of the witty, articulate and intellectually stimulating replies they will be directed to write.

    Hyberbole...who me?

  24. I really hope that google never gets this thing working, ever again. Its all one sided view points by narrow minded people. The only reason to read this blog was to listen to street rant. Most of the rest of you have no concept of the FLDS or what goes on there. Only your limited, peconcieved ideas of how you think thngs are. That have no basis in fact or reality.

There were some good ideas on here some time back but they got run off by the truly narrow minded.

That includes the administrator who leads the pack with the rest who really know nothing of Fundamental Momonsism and never will.

I hope Warren sends all his flock to texas , you deserve them.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I was born and grew up FLDS and I was there for over twenty years. I have only been gone a little while. I can assure you, I know PRECISELY what I am talking about.

I have basis AND facts AND reality.

8:48- I suggest you go back and acually READ the archives, (instead of getting offended at the first slight you read) and you will see that there are alot of people who are trying to understand and are willing to live and let live. I beg to differ- oh grouchy one- there are many open minded people here.

    YOU are narrow minded, Anon.

It's ok if people don't like you or beliver the same as you do. I peomise...

    ReplyDelete
  26. i only see one narrow minded fellow here and it is you 8:48 a.m. or AKA street, iamcurious or whatever you are now. if you enjoyed street rantings, you are a fraud or street himself.

street rantings did not reflect the FLDS.

fundalmentalism in any religion is dangerous.

i don't care if your beliefs are catholic, islamic, or christian.

there have been some very good posts from those in or out of the FLDS and i for one have learned alot.

  27. Yo 8:48, who cares what you think. I bet you liked playing with matches when you were a kid...

Send em on down, we'll get em straightened out.

  29. 8:48 - can you say narcissism?

    ReplyDelete
  30. Anon 10:57

Would you care to elaborate on your comment "fundalmentalism in any religion is dangerous"? What is your definition of fundamentalism? Are you saying that all religions must compromise their principles according to the time in which they live? What are you saying?

  31. Has anyone heard the rumor about Flora Jessop being arrested? I would like to find out if it is true.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Arrested for what?

    ReplyDelete
  33. Something to do with her trying to cross the US/Mexico border, a subpoena, and drugs. The rumor said she was taken by the FBI to Colorado for questioning. Also, the rumor mentioned that when she was supposedly arrested she had a key on her that goes to a storage unit filled with documents. Supposedly, there are attorneys going through the documents and vague claims of forged documents.

So, if anyone with some first hand knowledge could shed a little light on this rumor, I would appreciate it.

I am not saying this is true, I would just like to see what someone "in the know" has to say about it all. Maybe there is a grain of truth, maybe not.

I need to contact you in some way. An inividual that is still in has contacted me and asked to see if you two could maybe get together and compare notes. I trust this person as I know them very well. I am not interested in who you are. You can remain totally anonymous to me if you desire. I just want to help this person. They have read your posts here and found that you both think alike. They need someone they can relate to and speak with. Please email me at fttcrack@hotmail.com.

  35. 2:17- The local news paper where I am lists arrests. Could you not look up the pheonix news online? Maybe you could find it there.

  36. I've spoken to her in the last week or so. If this happened, it must have been very recently.

OH MY HECK! (love that saying) I wish I knew what was happening to me before everyone else did. It is rather annoying that all you guys know I was arrested before they ever handcuffed me.

NEWS FLASH: I am not in custody, federal or otherwise. I do however get a kick out of hearing about myself through the plyg gossip section maybe we could start our own plyg gossip tabloid.

Well, I guess I should tell you what else is happening in the plyg gossip tabloid:

1- I am supposedly in Federal PROTECTIVE CUSTODY being hidden from the law in Utah and Arizona. (You figure that one out)

2- I was supposedly in court several weeks ago but still haven't heard what it was for. Any ideas?

3- I supposedly put a hit out on Val Jessop and had the idiot snipers on a hill about 5 miles from his house in Cane Beds trying to make THE WORLDS LONGEST SHOT.

4- I am supposedly the head of some law enforcement task force out hunting for Val Jessop. Hell it must be the same team that was looking for Warren Jeffs for two years.

5- I am lesbian with the women I help. (Don't tell my husband though he might want to join us)

6- I smoke. Oh yeah I do smoke sorry.

Now to clear up one last thing....
IF YOU ARE NOT HURTING KIDS YOU HAVE NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT, IF YOU ARE HURTING KIDS OR TURNING A BLIND EYE WHILE KIDS ARE HURT YOU BETTER FIND A DEEP HOLE CLIMB PULL THE HOLE IN AFTER YOU AND CHANGE YOUR NAME EVERY DAY CAUSE I AM TELLING YOUR SECRETS.

How do you think the tragedy of abuse has continued? The cycle will never stop as long as there are secrets.

Love hearing the rumors. they make me laugh.

    Flora Jessop

  38. Thanks, Flora.

This is why I ask people about stuff instead of just assume that what I am hearing is true. It is always nice to hear about a person from that person. Have a great day!

Oh, by the way, the rumor about you came from Val. (Insult to injury?)

  43. Here's a link to the NVPolygamy blog where Jax put an entry about the accident.

  44. anon 3:56,

Please, would you say some more about "the freak thing with Sydney?"
