David Draper
Another death to add to Warren's list of debts he must repay to society.
Not only can it be pinned on Warren Jeffs, he can be held totally responsible for many others.
If you have the power to do good and you do evil, you answer to GOD. Warren Jeffs does evil by telling men to repent from a distance and taking their families away. No wonder they die with broken hearts.
I too believe there is no untimely death. It brings alot of comfort to me. Funerals are God's gift for bringing families together or tearing them apart. The FLDS use them to tear people apart.
The saddest thing in all the world is that David died by himself, alone. When he had so many people who knew and loved him.
---------- A funeral service for David is scheduled for Thursday morning at the Metcalf Mortuary in St. George. Burial will be at the St. George cemetery.
An eye for an eye just makes the whole world blind. Violence is not the answer.
Warren will get his karma whether we do anything or not. If he is left to himself long enough perhaps he will screw things up so badly that even the most devout FLDS will finally wake up to just how wrong this religion is.
Then it ends! And nothing could be better for the people caught up in the madness.

I agree that violence is NOT the answer. If you are in a conflict the greatest weapon you need is a county sherrif standing by your side and a video camera running. FLDS don't do things for logical reasons. Words with actions will make the difference.IMO With all the men and families that have been told to repent from a distance and the ones that have NO HOPE, soon WJ will be cutting off the ones that are helping him the most right NOW. Of course, there are more Nazi children to take their place, only to have the same thing done to them. Who knows how long it will take for the cycle to turn. At least we get to watch from the outside, it is only easier in one degree, just because we will NEVER let that happen again in our lifetime.
Thanks to WJ "Answer them nothing" has helped alot. After all judges and law enforcement take that as pleading guilty.

Although i'm not FLDS, I knew David from his days at CMC Hardware. He was always polite, helpful, good natured, and friendly to this "wicked apostate". It seems like the Hardware store that employeed, David Draper, Amos Musser, and David Musser hired people that cared a bit more about God's children then shunning innocent people. Unfortunately, Amos and David Draper were run out of town. I think Amos got out with at least one wife and it sounds like they took David Drapers wife away. I don't know the status of David Musser, if he's still in "good standing" he must have repudiated his father and grandfather by now. It is very sad to see honest people abused in this way. Remember God is just and that is why we can have confidence and faith in him.

ST. GEORGE - David Draper, 40, passed away on July 25th, 2006, in LaVerkin, Utah. David was born on April 28th 1966 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Ada John son and Wilford Alvin Draper. He married Kathleen Darger in Salt Lake City.
As a young man, David delivered newspapers and later worked for Brother Bauer in a machine shop. After he married, he moved to Southern Utah and helped run a hardware store for many years. Later he worked as an electrician, drove truck for several companies, and enjoyed working with his brothers in their new hardware business. David was an example of obedience to the directives given to him. He was very gentle, a hard worker, and was especially interested in admiring all of God's creations.
David is survived by his mother Ada; his brothers Daniel, Leroy, Guy, Barlow, Nephi, Moroni, Lorin, and Steven; his sister Ada Marie; his wife Kate; his daughters Celesta Marie and April May; as well as his sons Wilford Taylor, David Lee, Rulon Allen, Wendell Leroy, Edson Joseph, and Jeremiah Carter. David was a loving brother and genuine friend to all he knew.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 10, 2006, at 11:00 AM., at the Metcalf Mortuary Chapel, 288 W. St. George Blvd., St. George, UT. A visitation will also be held Thursday, from 10-10:45 a.m., at the mortuary, prior to services. Interment will be in the St. George City Cemetery under the direction of Metcalf Mortuary 435-673-4221. Condolences may be sent through Metcalf's website at www.metcalfmortuary.com.

The rumor is that David was sent away for mental unstablity and the reason that he was done was that he heard that his wife had gotten remarried and that left him with NO HOPE
Thanks to all who participated in the cease-fire in respect to David. The funeral was small and his own children weren't allowed to attend. It is a good reflection on humanity that complete strangers are willing to pause and respect one of God's battered children.
After the proper respects have been paid and the deceased laid to rest it would be a disgrace to his memory to cease to fight in the cause of truth. The evils that sent him away from his family, that kept his own children from attending that last rites in his honor, that continue to threaten so many more families and the peace of a community must be attended to. There are so many who have fallen asleep at the helm of their families. They have allowed warren to usurp their authority and they need to wake up lest there are more casualties such as this. The fight against these evils cannot stop because the evil one has been victor once or twice. We must battle to the last man in honor of those who have fallen.
Street's dad was Edson Jessop. He is no longer alive. He mercifully died before he could witness the systematic destruction of the religion that he loved and worked his entire life for.
He was not in "the council" but he was the appointed secretary or scribe for the meetings. He was also a very respected member of the community and would turn in his grave to hear Val's rants.
David Draper was one of the few men in the "Priesthood Work" who grew up being obedient as a young man and was obedient to his father. He never got into one tenth of the evil actions and such that Warren and his brothers were into as they were growing up. David took all the teachings of the brethren to heart and was a good man. He was an example to all and was far more humble than most. David had the misfortune of coming from a time when the brethren didn't believe in getting more than a eighth grade education. He went to Alta Academy when it was in its infancy and the quality of training wasn't as good as in the later years, they didn't start having high school classes until about 3 years after David got out of eighth grade. David only ever worked for Priesthood businesses, most of which took advantage of him and would only pay him the minimum they could, a common trait with Priestood businesses.
I am truly sad to see what Warren has done to David. There was nothing wrong with the life that David lived. He was a good man and well trained in the principles of the Gospel. David would have made a far better leader than Warren and Warren knows that. David was a pure and innocent man, he would have made a fair leader and judge. He kept himself pure until he was given a wife by the Priesthood. He was a faithful and kind husband to his dear wife.
David, as you rest in a place of paradise, the Lord and Savior being the final judge, remember this important thing, "To hell with Warren Steed Jeffs". Go get a big hug from our brother, friend and Lord, none other than Jesus Christ and hear what he has to say in a job well done. I am sure that Jesus has a great mission for you in the work he is performing there.

No one knows for sure what was in the heart of David Draper.

I knew David. Few will ever understand what he went through personally. For those of us who knew and cared for him, our memories are cherished.
Using his death to promote personal agendas and speculation is not only uncalled for, it's inappropriate.
