David Draper

Another death to add to Warren's list of debts he must repay to society.

David was married to Kathleen Darger and had a beautiful family.

It is a shame that there is shunning by those whom he loved the most.

onthestreet said...

Those he loved the most love the soul, and David's precious soul. It is the weaknesses that cannot be fed to thrive where children are seeking the salvation of their own souls. What those weaknesses were must not be counted here, but only his strengths, to count our blessings for having known him. There are plenty of things that are great about the man, that could occupy our attention for many years, and be a benefit to society.

onthestreet said...

Such a fantasy, Rumor, and just so, just a rumor after all, coming from an unstable mind. It is obviously erroneous to pin the death of everyone who dies onto the Prophet who only teaches life and the bread of life to the people. If some goes out and committs murder, and especially to murder themselves, it only confirms their instability, they being young spirits in the scheme of things, while others were also cast out only to return victorious.

Uncle Roy often says that no death is an untimely death. We all came here to obtain a body and the experience that our karma and our spirit are ready for. David has accomplished that.

Not only can it be pinned on Warren Jeffs, he can be held totally responsible for many others.

If you have the power to do good and you do evil, you answer to GOD. Warren Jeffs does evil by telling men to repent from a distance and taking their families away. No wonder they die with broken hearts.

rumor-has-it said...

I too believe there is no untimely death. It brings alot of comfort to me. Funerals are God's gift for bringing families together or tearing them apart. The FLDS use them to tear people apart.

The saddest thing in all the world is that David died by himself, alone. When he had so many people who knew and loved him.

Does anyone have more information on this? Where, when, how?

If a man decides to take his own life, which is not known here, for sure, he, in effect is giving up the struggle and giving in to forces of evil here. I don't think thats the proper course to take. Need to fight back. One needs to engage the enemy. And fight him. The FLDS need to turn WJ in themselves. And recognise his perverted ways.

fundy said...

David Draper like alot of other FLDS should have done the proper thing, go after WJ and his friends. And hunt them down. And when you find them -------------- uh huh.

Anonymous said...

An eye for an eye just makes the whole world blind. Violence is not the answer.

Warren will get his karma whether we do anything or not. If he is left to himself long enough perhaps he will screw things up so badly that even the most devout FLDS will finally wake up to just how wrong this religion is.

Then it ends! And nothing could be better for the people caught up in the madness.

Anonymous said...

Fundy, those are the best two posts I've ever read of yours.

rumor-has-it said...

Warren Jeffs is , what do you call it when you feed off of other humans? that's it, CANABALISTIC.

I agree that violence is NOT the answer. If you are in a conflict the greatest weapon you need is a county sherrif standing by your side and a video camera running. FLDS don't do things for logical reasons. Words with actions will make the difference.IMO
With all the men and families that have been told to repent from a distance and the ones that have NO HOPE, soon WJ will be cutting off the ones that are helping him the most right NOW. Of course, there are more Nazi children to take their place, only to have the same thing done to them. Who knows how long it will take for the cycle to turn. At least we get to watch from the outside, it is only easier in one degree, just because we will NEVER let that happen again in our lifetime.

Thanks to WJ "Answer them nothing" has helped alot. After all judges and law enforcement take that as pleading guilty.

No one knows for sure what was in the heart of David Draper.

It might of been an accident, it might not.

Only God knows what happened with Mr. Draper and hopefully he sought God peace in his last moments.

How do you know the man in the accident was David Draper?

STREET’s Reply: Is it good or evil, to obey the Lord and “prune the vineyard”?

EMBARASSING FALSE PROPHECIES?? Jesus would return in 1891 - Joseph Smith: February 14, 1835

“President Smith then stated that the meeting had been called, because God had commanded it; and it was made known to him by vision and by the Holy Spirit. He then gave a revelation of some circumstances attending us while journeying to Zion .. our trial, sufferings; and said God had not designed all this for nothing, but He had it in remembrance yet; and it was the will of God that those who went to Zion, with a determination to lay down their lives, if necessary, should be ordained to the ministry, and go forth to prune the vineyard for the Last time, or the coming of the Lord, which was nigh - even fifty - six years would wind up the scene.”(History of the Church Vol. 2 pg. 182)

Let us see, from 1835 to 1886, Yup, the Lord came and pruned the vineyard. Prophecy Fulfilled.

Rev. 19:15: And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

Lev. 25: 1 And the LORD spake unto Moses in mount Sinai, saying,

2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land which I give you, then shall the land keep a sabbath unto the LORD.

3 Six years thou shalt sow thy field, and six years thou shalt prune thy vineyard, and gather in the fruit thereof;

4 But in the seventh year shall be a sabbath of rest unto the land, a sabbath for the LORD: thou shalt neither sow thy field, nor prune thy vineyard.

Taking families away? (Matt. 34:10): COULD JESUS CHRIST REALLY HAVE BEEN WRONG?

34. Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

35. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

36. And a man's foes [shall be] they of his own household.

37. He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

you guys don't need to harm wj nor even turn him in
all you need to do is simply say "no"
and away he goes
as harmless as the day he was born

...but that won't happen
because your hearts are weak and poisoned
to defy wj would be conceding that everything you've ever learned and known
is all one big lie

isn't it ironic
that the only real way to defeat this satan
is to turn your backs on god
(your god that is)

In the gloaming, O my darling!
When the lights are dim and low
And the quiet shadows falling
Softly come and softly go

For my heart was crushed with longing
What has been, could never be,
It was best to leave you thus dear
Best for you, and best for me

In the gloaming O my darling
Think not bitterly of me!
Tho’ I passed away in silence
Left you lonely, set you free;

When the winds are sobbing faintly
With a gentle unknown woe
Will you think of me and love me
As you did once long ago?

David Draper, a friend and brother I will always remember with fondness. May his memory be only of a man who loved his children more than his life.

Please my fellow children of God, do not use this mans death as bullets in your war. I am sure he would appreciate it.

That was beautiful and very fitting. I hope all will respect your request regarding the bullets. I never knew David personally but as with all who have passed on he is beyond the reach of our censure and should only be respected in the best way we can.

Although i'm not FLDS, I knew David from his days at CMC Hardware. He was always polite, helpful, good natured, and friendly to this "wicked apostate". It seems like the Hardware store that employeed, David Draper, Amos Musser, and David Musser hired people that cared a bit more about God's children then shunning innocent people. Unfortunately, Amos and David Draper were run out of town. I think Amos got out with at least one wife and it sounds like they took David Drapers wife away. I don't know the status of David Musser, if he's still in "good standing" he must have repudiated his father and grandfather by now. It is very sad to see honest people abused in this way. Remember God is just and that is why we can have confidence and faith in him.

I heartily agree with your lovely sentiments.

I knew David. Few will ever understand what he went through personally. For those of us who knew and cared for him, our memories are cherished.

Using his death to promote personal agendas and speculation is not only uncalled for, it's inappropriate.

May David's family and many friends find comfort and peace.

removed all freedom and care

where is the love?
who can understand?
how can i repent?
what is repentance?
why am i not worthy?
why is life worth living?

thru the anguish of exile
the pain was to much

It seems the most of the posts in this thread certainly didn't answer to one plea in a good man's demise:
"Please my fellow children of God, do not use this mans death as bullets in your war. I am sure he would appreciate it. 8/09/2006 5:12 AM

How about a cease-fire for the day, Thursday, August 10th, when he is layed to rest. It would seem very fitting to actually close down this blog for August 10th, and let everyone just think and ponder and pray for all of God's children who remain here, trying to worship God according to the dictates of their conscience.

How about it, fokes, NO POSTS TOMORROW, and if anyone posts, for the ADMIN to delete them, and let there be peace everywhere.

red rocks. I think OTS was referring to FTTC's request that no one post on the 10th out of respect to the dead.

I didn't post either.

I'm not sure the word got out enough though, it was just written at the bottom of a couple threads.

It was sort of a blog - cease fire.

Anonymous said...

The rumor is that David was sent away for mental unstablity and the reason that he was done was that he heard that his wife had gotten remarried and that left him with NO HOPE

One of the family members said...

Thanks to all who participated in the cease-fire in respect to David. The funeral was small and his own children weren't allowed to attend. It is a good reflection on humanity that complete strangers are willing to pause and respect one of God's battered children.

ATAR_i said...

His children weren't allowed to attend? Were they turned away, or were they not allowed to come?

onthestreet said...

It would seem good, that after a cease-fire, in regard to this particular thread, that it should be perpetual, that there may be rest for David, for the dead, and for the living.

How about it? Wouldn't that be a good thing?

He was invited to repent for good cause, and he made a hero's effort for a good while.

fttc said...

Sorry Street

After the proper respects have been paid and the deceased laid to rest it would be a disgrace to his memory to cease to fight in the cause of truth. The evils that sent him away from his family, that kept his own children from attending that last rites in his honor, that continue to threaten so many more families and the peace of a community must be attended to. There are so many who have fallen asleep at the helm of their families. They have allowed warren to usurp their authority and they need to wake up lest there are more casualties such as this. The fight against these evils cannot stop because the evil one has been victor once or twice. We must battle to the last man in honor of those who have fallen.

Concerning David- You hypocritical, pious, know-nothing jackass. Who do you think you're kidding? I don't believe that you would know how to honor anyone, judging by your previous comments on this blog. If you do not have enough intelligence and reason to know what kind of a wicked, phony, lying, son of perdition that your "beloved" false self-appointed prophet Warren Jackass Jeffs is, then how do you expect anyone with the intelligence of a black ant would ever believe you or give you any credence?

You are a disgrace to the memory of your father and your very gifted mother. There is one hope for you. You will have all eternity to repent in after you leave this existence. Why don't you wake up and see what is really happening with your beloved community? Chew on this for a while.

SO who is Steets dad?? Is he still alive? was he in the council??

Anonymous said...

Street's dad was Edson Jessop. He is no longer alive. He mercifully died before he could witness the systematic destruction of the religion that he loved and worked his entire life for.

He was not in "the council" but he was the appointed secretary or scribe for the meetings. He was also a very respected member of the community and would turn in his grave to hear Val's rants.

David Draper was one of the few men in the "Priesthood Work" who grew up being obedient as a young man and was obedient to his father. He never got into one tenth of the evil actions and such that Warren and his brothers were into as they were growing up. David took all the teachings of the brethren to heart and was a good man. He was an example to all and was far more humble than most. David had the misfortune of coming from a time when the brethren didn't believe in getting more than a eighth grade education. He went to Alta Academy when it was in its infancy and the quality of training wasn't as good as in the later years, they didn't start having high school classes until about 3 years after David got out of eighth grade. David only ever worked for Priesthood businesses, most of which took advantage of him and would only pay him the minimum they could, a common trait with Priestood businesses.

I am truly sad to see what Warren has done to David. There was nothing wrong with the life that David lived. He was a good man and well trained in the principles of the Gospel. David would have made a far better leader than Warren and Warren knows that. David was a pure and innocent man, he would have made a fair leader and judge. He kept himself pure until he was given a wife by the Priesthood. He was a faithful and kind husband to his dear wife.

David, as you rest in a place of paradise, the Lord and Savior being the final judge, remember this important thing, "To hell with Warren Steed Jeffs". Go get a big hug from our brother, friend and Lord, none other than Jesus Christ and hear what he has to say in a job well done. I am sure that Jesus has a great mission for you in the work he is performing there.

Is Bishop Willy Timspon somehow connected to Edson Jessop?

Uncle Ratt said...

Willy Timpson's mother is Kathy Jessop (Timpson) who is Edson's daughter.

Kathy left her husband, President Alma Timpson and was given to her Uncle Fred as a wife. Sad to say, it is very likely that Edson would have condoned his daughter's adulterous and wicked behavior.

As a "community father" Edson took care of a lot of young men, was in charge of "missionary boys" who did volunteer work, ie., hard labor around the community. But that was many years ago, long before Street's time.
