FLDS Prophet Warren Jeffs may be serving life in prison, but his followers continue with their work on the YFZ Ranch near Eldorado, Texas where the group's white limestone Temple towers over the town they are building. Polygamy, the practice of plural marriage, appears to be alive and well in the Lone Star State, despite laws to the contrary.
Temple brick is progressing well. There is a small building inside the wall north of Temple. I think it takes away from the majesty of the temple. It’s not by itself anymore. Why did they put it there? The Temple is still an awesome site.
I bought a collection of DVD's from Reader's Digest. One of these is "Imperial Splendors". They should use YFZ and the poverty in CC/Hildale for an update to that documentary.
How would that look? Doing 40 laps for your health in the Baptismal font. Recreation is not part of their religion. It has to be outside of the Temple.
When i saw the small building i thought that possibly the small building was the temple for those whose donations have been lacking in substance. Big donations,big temple,small donations,small temple. Seriously though,it really does detract from the beauty of the temple.
