Practical religion consists in doing good: and the only way of serving God is that of endeavoring to make His creation happy. All preaching that has not this for its object is nonsense and hypocrisy.

Righto. True religion involves all of creation, but that doesn't mean wallering with pigs either.

The purpose of it is to be useful, to be responsible, to be compassionate.

How so? This is the stoic, the Altar of Incense, the stillness.

Jesus said to the sea (of the mind): BE STILL

God the Father also gives us the secret: "BE STILL, and KNOW that I am God."

Once you ascend to that stillness, then you stand before the second veil covering the Holy of Holies. Then you are still, and upon entering you KNOW that he is God, for He reveals Himself.

Now, this takes a Prophet. It is a process of introduction along an unbroken chain of command. And the Kingdom of Heaven is a system of adoption.

Be still? It's pretty obvious you will never make there Streety. I doubt if you could shut up and BE STILL and KNOW anything if your life depended on it.
