What's going on this summer?
I heard they did a picnic at Maxwell for "Uncle" Roy's birthday. I really wanted to make it but I had to work instead. Remember how much fun we used to have during the summer? There were so many things going on: the twenty fourth of July parade where all the business in town would make floats and throw candy to the kids, "Uncle" Roy's birthday where we would all eat watermelon and ride the train at Cottonwood Park, The fourth of July celebration where we would have the flag raising ceremony at the meeting house and then walk to breakfast at Cottonwood Park and the dance and fireworks that night....
So many things have changed :)
yes, back then people actually appeared to care about each other. I do not think they cared at all about the religion. I can see that now. Uncle Fred used to have shows at the school house, and the fair; yes, things have changed.
ReplyDeleteNow, days the only real thing anyone does is protect abuse. Even the cops here do not really care, and protect abuse. and every one with their camera's out looking to take down another; but, I guess I do not want to go back to those days. For in the end, even Uncle Fred betrayed me, and protected the abuser and the creepy men. So, although Uncle WArren hates me, and would destroy me if he could, at least he kicks the men out, who abuse women. and I am glad he kicked Uncle Fred out. It was a sad day to ask for help, and get stomped down, why these men who abused children and women, were coddled. Yes, things are different than back then. and I am glad. And I hope I never see Uncle Fred again...not ever through eternity. He betrayed me.
ReplyDeleteThe parade is in various courts in various states and countries.
ReplyDeleteHmmm Canada, Texas, Utah, Arizona, Colorada, did I forget some?
Its like nothing ever seen.
No more candy for the kiddies, though.

Ever notice how some will condemn one persons actions because of who they are (apostate for example) and justify another because of who they are (prophet) when both have done the exact same action (like wearing "worldly" clothing)? The title didn't change the action, just how that person perceived the action.
ReplyDeleteWhen anyone puts more importance on a title (the who someone is) and ignores what they are (their actions) for their sense of right and wrong, that title becomes one of the “glasses” through which they view their surroundings. The person or group who claims they can give them those "glasses" will have complete control over how that persons "sees" the world around them, and ultimately, that persons actions.
If you are taught from birth that you must wear a certain pair of “glasses” in order to “see” what is right and wrong, at the risk of losing your salvation you dare not take them of. This gives complete control to the giver of the “glasses” to hide from view, or tint or change the view of their followers. All this because that person thinks a title, an ordination, or calling is the only way to “see” right and wrong, and will gladly follow the person or group that claims they have the “right” because of their title.
Of interest to me is this: I thought we would be judged at the judgement day based on our actions, not on how we perceived our actions. You can't steal for the lord and not be a thief.
I think our actions will carry more weight with the Lord than what title or position we may have been given.
A great post from the past.
This is Warren Jeffs future, a prison mug shot, wearing the all white clothes of the Texas prison system.

ReplyDelete"A great post from the past."
-----------
Thank you Anon... that is and was a great post. The glasses metaphor is wonderful!
Another flash from the past.
ReplyDeleteWhile I don't agree with much of what Warren has done, are we any better than he if we want to destroy him. I would like to see his actions in tearing apart families stopped, but I think judgement should be in the hands of someone greater than us all.
He has only been able to do what he has done because we have let him.
When each of us individually says "I have had enough, you are not doing this to me or mine" only then will he (or the leaders after him) be stopped.
Unfortunately, the FLDS religion has taught dependancy and the members have bought into it to such an extent that many will not or dare not think for themselves, but can only do what their “priesthood head” tells them.
Many of the men who have had their families removed, and most of the men who have married other men’s wives feel they are doing the Lord’s will because their “priesthood head” told them so.
If the conscience tries to speak, they will immediately “sacrifice” those feelings because “the prophet speaks for the Lord, and will not lead the people astray”.
They excuse their actions because the “lord” has commanded it and He has the right to organize His family as He sees fit.
Now while we are all children of the Lord, if this family swapping were correct doctrine, the “one man” must then be our only true father on earth and the rest of the men in the FLDS are nothing more than sperm donors to his family.
Until the men wake up and realize God gave them a conscience and a brain and expects them to use them in taking care of their own stewardship, and that they alone will be accountable unto Him for how they treat their wives and raise their children, this crazy mess which we now witness will not be stopped.
For the record, I have forgiven Warren. Just keep in mind, it is not only him, but a flawed paradigm that the FLDS is operating under.
Fine-sounding words, above?...now, do you want to forgive all pedophiles world-wide, by releasing them, or something? "Flawed paradigm," eh? That's putting it mildly.
ReplyDeleteWe all have to toe the line with laws that exist in our counties, states, and country. Sure, there are things I don't like having to do all the time, like pay all my taxes (everyone's taxes are far higher where I am located than the incredibly low ones the flds are supposed to pay and often don't, btw..) So I always take opportunities to express my opinion about taxes, but I don't just NOT PAY them , and I don't just thumb my nose at many other laws, as people like Warren have taught thousands to do. flds is a big crime family that has given American people of faith and our nation a black eye for some time now. If flds don't want to obey US laws, they need to get out and stay out of the US. I would say just the same for any of the rest of us. Warren Jeffs? Yes, he's a product of flds "flawed paradigms"...and hundreds more flds should be in jail, imo, including many women... hundreds of other flds, who are also products of a very "flawed paradigm!" The stuff this bunch has been doing for decades makes me nauseous to hear about, and angry, to know it has been going on while others in the rest of the US pay heavy prices for the same behaviors when they forget to cloak them under a whine of "religious freedom." Freedom of religion? Sure thing- within the laws of the land, that is. What if we all did what Warren did? (and his father, and so many other "leaders" of defiant groups in our nation and the world)-encouraging thousands to defy numerous laws? Chaos would result in short order. Forgiveness is great- but criminals and society in general get a very wrong message when bad acts are not curtailed and chastened as needed. Warren is an ingrained pedophile and encourages others to do likewise, to the point of mindless, total lack of protection for the vulnerable. May he stay under tight wraps for life, as may all who would do as he has done.
Quoting an article I found very interesting, it explains a lot about human behavior. And it applies to the entire spectrum of cultural events.
ReplyDelete... "This peer pressure article shines some light on how a lot of political, religious, and society history may get misconstrued." [emphasis mine]
"Peer pressure causes people to literally alter their memories of recent events
Humans are highly social animals and for many years, psychologists have observed a variety of both positive and negative effects resulting from a human tendency called "memory conformity."
When groups of people are exposed to a similar experience, their recollections of the experience, as well as their feeling and values related to the event, tend to reshape over time in order to conform to those of their peers.
Empirical evidence of memory conformity and social compliance have been suggested by classic physiological studies conducted since the 1950s. Famous experiments and studies have been conducted in school, prison and workplace settings.
But earlier this week, the Journal of Science published a study providing the strongest neurological evidence yet in support of the existence of memory conformity.
In the study, Micah Edelson and colleagues showed a documentary to a group of volunteer test subjects. Later, the subjects were asked questions about the documentary while their brain activity was monitored by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
After recording their initial answers, researchers then shared incorrect answers with the test subjects, telling them that these answers had been provided by the other participants in the study. After being exposed to the incorrect answers presumably provided by their peers, a curious shift occurred in the memory centers of about 70 percent of the test subjects.
The amygdala and hippocampus areas of the subject's brains, areas linked to memory and recall, began to experience increased activity, and the test subjects began to defend the incorrect answers. Their persistent defense of the false answers convinced researchers that the subjects actually believed the false answers to be true.
Interestingly, the amygdala and hippocampus did not experience increased activity when the false answers were supplied by a computer. The effects of memory conformity only occurred in the presence of social pressure. In a related article in the same issue of Science, researchers report and clarify on the distinction between public and private memory conformity, and suggest that subjects often pretend to support group responses even when they privately disagree.
Nevertheless, this study lends strong support to the possibility that our memories can actually be rewritten by the overwhelming force of our innate desire for social acceptance and conformity.
The results of the study can be applied to cultural and political events as well, and can be used to explain why illogical or irrational assertions can sometimes attain stubborn popular support. The curious persistence of doubts about proven scientific and historical events can provide a wealth of examples of the surprising power of peer pressure when measured against the power of concrete evidence.

So much has changed....Now we have to "buy" the priesthood...we can't have internet.....
ReplyDeleteI just learned about how a person can change there mind process. I do believe that if you understand this well enough you can do almost anything. But I also believe that since he is the prophet this is what he and his follower believe and know how to live by these principles. I do not think that warren jeffs was in the right for marring girls at a young age if he would have waited untill they were at least 18 he might be in this kind of situation. I really do feel bad for anyone who has had there children tooken away from them for no appearent reason this in my mind should have never happened. The claim when the raid happened was based from one person and one person now I do not know who was allinvolved but i do not believe that the whole compound should have been place under attack.
ReplyDeleteSo what do any of you think about the way warren's trial is going?? And can anyone tell me WHY all these people are still putting money in warrens pocket??
ReplyDeleteall the posts you talk about is the past.... why are you all dwelling on the past,, isn't it more important to start building a future?
You want a parade, have a parade, you want hay rides,,, do the hayrides, you people have freedoms, and choices, why are you stuck in the PAST??
I think folks like flds posting "the good old days" stuff is because these polygamy religions are by-design worship of certain humans they know or knew. They have a true scoundrel for a leader now, whom thousands still just won't stop worshiping..and they refuse to do anything that wasn't his idea, knowing they risk punishment. So now, they think of the festivities their former, "nicer gods" allowed them to have. They have been taught to not think for themselves, at a deep level. They have been taught to celebrate a few things that centered on their very closed society's leaders, and to ignore the many things most Americans use as reasons for parties and celebrations. They don't know what else to celebrate except what's been drilled into them that is "ok with the "prophet." They've been conditioned to do ONLY whatever "prophet" they have says is ok. When they get a scoundrel like Warren Jeffs, they get down to nothing at all in the way of normal living, all activities day after day are prophet-worship. Period. Mindless scoundrel worship. They've been ordered time and again to not have any imagination or individuality.
ReplyDeleteWarren's trial is going crazy.
ReplyDeleteHe fired all his attorneys, was quiet for a day and then wont shut up.
The Judge is giving him enough rope to hang himself.
If you read any news, you will hear him giving sexual training to multiple girls at a time, and coming in the morning is the tape of the rape in the Temple with others watching.
Nothing will ever be the same, I second the motion to start a new future now.
Of course there will be some who defend his actions to the end, is this something to look forward too?
The jury has found Warren Jeffs guilty on both counts,,, in about 30 minutes the punishment phase starts,,, the prosecution will then open up the 700 bad acts on Warren steed Jeffs, they jury will decide how many years warren jeffs gets in jail... it could be up to 99yrs
ReplyDeleteDon't know if you have heard,, evidently there is some evidence Texas Law enforcement has that will not be opened today,,, its evidence about OTHERS in Flds,, including women, whom the Attorney Generals office will decide whether to go after or not,, one is Naomi Jessop Jeffs who was in the room when Warren raped Merrianne Jessop Jeffs at 12 yrs old
ReplyDeleteWhat a Joke our law enforcement is. I am humiliated that I even know them. And all of you, who know nothing about virtue; And on the other hand, these men who abuse their family's are a humiliation to me also. And I am glad I am not part of them. None of you. I am glad I am not a part of you all. You, them, or they.
ReplyDeleteThe case against Warren Jeffs was never about polygamy, although he tried to make it about that. It was about pedophilia. A Texas jury convicted the leader of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints of sexual assault of two girls, ages 12 and 15, whom he took as plural wives.
ReplyDeleteAmerican society may one day decide to tolerate polygamy among consenting adults. But it should never tolerate the sexual exploitation of children by adults, as in this case. Nor should it accept any justification for such behavior under the veneer of religious freedom.
Jeffs, unwisely acting as his own attorney, argued that the prosecution against him was an unjust and unconstitutional attack on the freedom of his sect to practice its religion.
Jeffs never offered a substantive defense to charges that he took two underage girls under the cover of plural marriage and consummated sexual relations with them. He never really tried to rebut the evidence from DNA testing of a baby born to one of the girls and audio tapes of his own voice instructing some of his wives, apparently including one of the victims, in how to please him sexually. One of the tapes apparently recorded the sounds of his sexual activities with one of the girls.
The evidence revealed Jeffs to be a sexual predator dressed in religious garb. But no amount of religious teaching from Jeffs during the trial could disguise the disgusting essence of what he did. The audio tapes provided the sounds of a sexual predator grooming his victims, as pedophiles do.
I wonder what the Branch Dividian's said to the dead in the spirit World. Our Country Murdered us for believing in God. For no other reason. For walking in America and Flying the Flag of Freedom; we were slaughtered.
ReplyDeleteSo, close your mouths now; Our Country men will Kill us for reaching out for Liberty....Yes, your deaths stink upon you.....
Did you not print the next thing I said. My Government are murders, who kill all who believe in God. You slaughtered those in the Branch Dividian Division. You bomb your own towers and Kill your own people. Joseph set you free, and you kill all who believe in our God....Your death is upon you. No one lives longer than a hundred years. and then you go to die the second death. What a pity you wasted your souls. YOu had to be tested. God had to give you that chance. I suppose we chose to give you that chance to choose life or death. I am saddened you chose death.....I fly no flag. But I am American. I fly my flag of freedom. I shall no longer give medicine, or assist. For you chose death....
ReplyDeleteOh dear LORD, the poor soul that finally conscripts many other blogs on this website has returned. LORD, be merciful to this feeble-minded soul. I know you will be.
ReplyDeleteRuth, cool your jets as Val would say. Look at the evidence, your prophet was self appointed. Now, who is the true Prophet in your eyes?
ReplyDeleteWarren Jeffs will not be coming back. He has been shown to be a false prophet.
ReplyDeleteThe Bible gives us instruction so we may recognize a false prophet: 'But the prophet who presumes to speak a word in My name, which I have not commanded him to speak or who speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet shall die.' "And if you say in your heart, 'How shall we know the word which the Lord has not spoken?' "when a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the thing does not happen or come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him." Deuteronomy 18: 20-22
Ruth, I understand why you say what you do, however, this is not against religion or religious beliefs,, its about Warren Jeffs who committed crimes against children, what about that do you not understand?? Children were raped by this man Ruth, ,children were suffocated and drown by this man Ruth... Would a prophet do such things Ruth?? NO!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd let the dead speak for them-selves. Val Jessop is dead!
ReplyDeleteand I do not see as I need your pity in asking God to have mercy on me. I feel it is every person's bound duty to save themselves and what joy they will have. And if in the case that you save your soul, then by all means come out and save every one else. But as you have no gaureentee, unless you dare venture into the realm of those who Know God personally. Then you would not be an apostate targeting a man who is not guilty of any crime; by AMERICAN LAW AND RIGHTS. Who hold with all his heart to his convitions and you can not even hold to your opinions from day to day.....I judge you not. I wish you all goodness. and am ashamed to call you COUNTRY MEN. FOR YOU HAVE UNDEATED THE LAW OF THE LAND. CONGRESS SHALL MAKE NO LAW AGAINST RELIGION. IT IS MY BIRTH RIGHT. GOD AND MY BIRTH RIGHT. AND IF YOU WANT TO KILL ME AND JAIL ME FOR THAT I ALSO WILL DIE FOR GOD......
ReplyDeleteAnd like the dead in Waco, I know the truth. Like the dead in Waco, I know the truth. Like the dead buried in the Twin Towers I know the truth. Like the Dead in Ruby Ridge and the Soldier's who die across the sea, I know the Truth. OUR GOVERNMENT ARE MURDERS. And who of you cared. If someone talks about the Lord in Court they are condemned. Yes, it was our Government who Shot the man who would have exposed the F.B.I and he was the only one shot at Waco. The rest they murdered in under the house and buried it in; and with the great Media show they said later it was sun-light on the tanks of the Army Men who murdered their OWN COUNTRY FOLK. AND WHO DO YOU SUPPOSE BOMBED THE TWIN TOWERS. Your Sweet little Old GrandMother? Ya, maybe if you were not all Robots glued to your telivision; YOU WOULD HAVE A COUNTRY.
ReplyDeleteBut enough of my talk. You have you to live with. Just do not ever expect us to be friends.
ReplyDeleteWe are not all glued to tv sets- Ruth, I am sorry, but you are at least as judgmental and poorly informed as you accuse so many others of being. Look, it's this simple- you and thousands of others in flds have been committing idolatry for many years. You worship mere mortals, one mere mortal at a time, one mere human who calls himself a prophet and is NOT one at all. If you knew the Old and New Testaments properly you would have seen their lying ways many years ago. When one of them dies, you start worshiping the next one, and they are ALL sinners, ALL unworthy of worship. The current one has most definitely committed many crimes. And even if he never had committed a crime, he is NOT God, nor ever shall be. He is just a fallen sinner! Therefore, he has been receiving worship blasphemously. Ruth, you poor lady, stop worshiping a fallen mortal. Dear LORD, go to Jesus alone. You are wrong to worship Warren or any other mortal. Jesus is the only Savior. Stop your idolatry. Have some real shame for your idolatry for once! You scold so many others, and accuse so many others who have tried to be patient for years. Focus on repenting of your idolatry about all these false prophets and worship God alone. You have spoken reverently of Jesus many times. Keep the reverence for Him only! Then stay that way!
ReplyDeleteRuth
ReplyDeleteIf you are so right, then you should be preparing for the worst.
This world you have created is from your own deception by the dark spirits. You live on lies, you are deceived by yourself.
I can worship who I like. Is that the only advice you can give me? Do you really think I want to be a half dressed harlot like all you? Who Kill people for religion? Do you think my government has set me a perfect example to follow? AND YOU ALL THINK I AM BRAIN WASHED AND STUPID. what joy and comfort you give me? I knew Rebecca Muser all my life. What a joke? And Flora Mae? What a joke, and Laurie Allen? Are these your Idol's. I guess if I had my hair colored, wore some skimpy clothing and sang as a harlot in your junk houses, I would be a national hero. I guess I would have to spice me up on drugs and sleep around so as I could be poupular like you all are. You are not my country men! I am humiliated that I KNOW YOU. LEAVE ME ALONE...YE FAGGOTS OF THE ETERNAL PIT. AND LAURIE ALLEN, WE ARE READY FOR YOUR NEXT RAIDS. YOU AND YOUR FILTHY DRINKING SCUM FREINDS. YOU COME IN HERE SO WE WILL NEVER FORGET! YOU ARE NOT MY COUNTRY! AND I CAN WORSHIP WHO I LIKE. I KNOW WARREN JEFFS IS NOT A RAPEST OR A PEDIFILE. I KNOW YOU MURDERS FROM HELL.
ReplyDeleteI wish that you folks could get hold of the fact that God does not speak to us through prophets any longer. And even when He did, the prophet was never to be worshipped or obeyed, but always pointed towards God, not himself.
ReplyDeleteHebrews 1:1 ¶God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
4 ¶Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?
6 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.
7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.
8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
10 And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands:
11 They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment;
12 And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.
13 But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?
Now , I see clearly why you are a nation that Kills the Prophets. A Prophet should not ever be worshipped? He should not be obeyed? And God does not speak through Prophets anylonger? What ever? I am shocked at your un learned talk. You know not God at all. Funny. I shall have to keep that in mind and not be afected by anything anyone says. I see you are the Blind leading the Blind. And these same Prophets you speak of from the Bible say that you would be in this condition. sad really that you all would waste your souls.
ReplyDeleteWarren Jeffs punishment phase is finished. He will serve the rest of his life in PRISON.
ReplyDeleteBada Bing Bada Boom
ReplyDeleteWarren Jeffs is toast.
Pioneering the way into Prison!
any person who follows Jeffs or even lives the polygamy lifestyle should be sent to jail, it is WRONG!!!!! any children who are raised in that lifestyle should be given the choice and not forced to live that way as long as you exist there will be separation as you do not have the right to live this way or force any others to live this way !!!!!
ReplyDeleteI am very sorry to hear of his verdit. I do not belive that his court hearing was done right even from the begging. I know where i live the jury has the same amount of men as there are women. in his trial there was all women and two men. I say he was completly ripped off. I do believe the age should be 18 but this is his and his followers way of living and i feel that people should just leave them alone they are not hurting anyone who is not invoved in there religon.
ReplyDeletethis is not a religion what Jeffs is doing is illegal anyone who feels he should " just be left alone" should suffer the same fate as he has been given
ReplyDeleteMany flds hurt their own kids systematically year after year. flds kids are US citizens raised by the group as if they have no rights at all that every other person has who is born into the US. In addition, they are taught to defy US laws whenever possible. Both of these practices are very absuive. Indeed, flds kids are taught to be criminals from birth, and it seems to often work, doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteflds DOES hurt others not involved in their religion- they often commit welfare fraud, which is an enormous tax burden for non-flds to have to pay year after year.. flds casts out hundreds of its young boys, who must be helped by non-flds. many girls and women that have left have needed help, which non-flds people provide whenever they can.
As far as the jury goes, 700 people were notified for jury duty, over 200 showed up, and over half of those had to be eliminated because they already knew too much about Warren's crimes. The fourteen people that ended up serving were the least knowledgable about the situtation that could be found for this trial at this time. Many of them may well require emotional therapy for awhile because the evidence presented about Warren's crimes was so upsetting.
This trial's jury selection process was the same as in every single jury selection process across the US. The fact that the jury ended up mostly women is nothing but chance. However, I daresay it just might be God's way of showing Warren that all his crimes against girls and women were taken note of by the LORD over the years. Warren fired extremely expensive lawyers time after time, month after month, and some of them were women. The entire process was exactly according to legal system rules. Warren repeatedly broke court behavior rules, even making tasteless threats and pronouncements toward the judge and jury. It was pathetic, and he was given dozens of chances to do everything to help himself according to rules everyone else has to follow. The judge tried hard to convince him to not fire his lawyers. Warren's crimes and his pathetic records of his crimes finally caught up with him.
And as if that weren't enough, he has committed far more criminal acts in addition to the ones he will now serve time for. He has gotten away with his cruelty, lies and abuses for way too long. Hopefully those who have never been able to face that he is a treacherous, greedy, hypocritical pervert will start making progress facing how badly they've been deceived for so long, and put their energy into something constructive, for heaven's sake.
DPS Director Steven McCraw released the following statement today, following the conviction
ReplyDeleteand sentencing of Warren Steeds Jeffs on one count of aggravated sexual assault of a child and
one count of sexual assault of a child, for which he received a punishment of life in one case,
plus 20 years in prison on the other case.
“The conviction and sentencing of Warren S. Jeffs is another milestone in this investigation in
which seven other members of the FLDS have been convicted of the sexual assault of children,
resulting in sentences ranging from six to 75 years. It sends a clear message to would-be
pedophiles: The sexual exploitation of children will not be tolerated in Texas.
You are FREE!!! You are FREE!! you now have a voice, you no longer have to follow "a man" you are free to follow God himself,,, bring down the gates, bring down the walls, Let the sunshine in.
ReplyDeleteGod doesnt work in the darkness, but in the LIGHT!
You have a right to think for yourself, make your own decisions, be who you want to be.
Red,, is nothing more than a color,, its not bad. No one can control you if you wont allow it!!
God is love! God is hope! God doesnt harm, or abuse, or offend.
ReplyDeleteGod doesn't take children from mothers as a way of punishment.
God says, Let your light shine, so other can see it.... The light comes from inside you,,, its not how you dress or fix your hair,, God cried when Christ was upon that cross... He gave us emotions,, tears, anger. And God wants us to protect our children, and if we harm our children or allow them to be harmed,, then we become responsible and accountable...
Warren Jeffs was guilty,, he stole your money,, he stole your children's innocence, I was in the courtroom,, I heard him sexually abuse women, in his own voice. I heard him on that tape having sex with several wives, underage wives at a time. I saw the pictures, I saw the writings... Search your soul, search your heart!
Amen to anon 9:07....God created many wonderful things that are red!! Birds, flowers, autumn leaves, sunsets...Maybe Warren made up a SEEMINGLY pious idea saying red stands for the blood of Jesus, so shouldn't be found in flds living, or whatever it is that Warren said..well, it's obvious Warren wasn't interested in righteous living himself, but is one of the most greedy and cold-hearted, outrageously blasphemous people in our world today. One of the New Testament verses describing false prophets is that "they come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves." This is a precise depiction of Mr. Warren Jeffs' carefully-tailored outward personal behavior and style, used daily for many years to cloak a predatory, greed- and lust-driven personality.
ReplyDeleteYes, Jesus Christ gave His life on a cruel cross, over in Israel about two thousand years ago, and He said and did many other things that neither Warren, nor any other false prophet, nor false Christ, could ever do, even if they were given an eternity during which to pull stunts on their mentally, emotionally, and spiritually chained followers. Warren fulfills not one aspect of the Messiah's character or identity, but Jesus Christ fulfilled every single one of the specific prophecies and character and actions of the one true Messiah. The Old and New Testaments have many specific details about God's true Messiah, and it is not hard at all to see them for yourself, if you will just turn to God alone and put away your false lds and flds writings, and terribly misplaced loyalty to false leaders. Warren has, for years, committed many of the things referred to in the Old and New Testaments regarding false prophets and false Christs.. He is actually an outstanding example of one. The writings of Joseph Smith and Warren Jeffs and their ilk have led so many astray!!- Jesus Christ was never a polygamist, or a child molester, or a greed-driven charlatan, listen, people!! I call on every single flds person to turn away from this terrible idolatry about your sinful human leaders, and turn to the only Saviour, the LORD, who showed Himself to mankind as Jesus of Nazareth so long ago. When Jesus does some day come back in His glory, you won't be counted in His number of true followers, because you just kept on following a demented and perverted madman whose tricks you refused to reject!Millions of people worldwide are praying for flds and all others who have been living under the bondage of lie-filled belief systems. And they will continue to do so. The true God of heaven is calling all of you loud and clear- turn away from your idolatrous ways. Your leader has been shown to be one of the most cruel and devious liars in the modern world. Start thanking God that Warren did not succeed in destroying all of you! Or are you going to continue the idolatry, and allow him to keep on destoying you even while he remains for the rest of his earthly life in a high security prison? Don't you all want a much more excellent God than that?? Are you all so blind?
I pity you then, the judgement that shall fall upon you. I pity you. You convicted a man who was not guilty. I cry for you. I pity you. I pray for you.
ReplyDeleteIndeed Jeffs is in prison for his misdeeds to little girls.
ReplyDeleteHe stole his prophet position and abused his power.
He has torn apart hundreds of people from their families.
The list of crimes against his fellow FLDS people is sooooo long.
Its time to stop being a victim of his abuse!
And yeah that means Lyle too, same stuff different day.
Don't let Warren or Lyle control your lives anymore. They are nothing but slaves to darkness, refusing to give up the reigns of power over a people that God wants to set free. You all owe God allegiance, you owe nothing at all to deeply flawed mortal leaders who continue to lie to you every day. The true God of the universe is nothing like the Jeffs, or any other mere men!
ReplyDeleteLet God set you free! "For all the gods of the nations are idols, but the LORD made the heavens."- Psalms
(did the Jeffs make the heavens? of course not!)

ReplyDeleteLyle Jeffs has never controled me. He controled the people who used him to hurt me, and rob me and throw me out to die. Lyle Jeffs has never cared about me. Lyle Jeffs would not do anything but try to murder me, for the preditors in his church. So do not lecture me about Lyle Jeffs. Lyle Jeffs hated me the day I was born. That is why he protected preditors from the day I was born and will until the day I die. Lyle Jeffs would not do anything for me. He has always sat in the big house why I went with out.
ReplyDeleteIn Roy Johnsons day, he sat in the big house, why I sat in the house next door, being abused and starved. HE never cared. IN Rulon Jeffs day, he sat in the big house, why I was abused and starved. HE did care, but he did not know that I needed anything. In Warren JEffs day, they robbed me and threw me out, why they sat in the big house. Why would Lyle JEffs be any different. He is the big man. It is easy to see. He is the big man, so in his day, they put another preditor on a pedisle and try to starve me to death. Just like the day I was born. Why would Lyle Jeffs be any different than the big men before him; that does not care if I lived or died; after all it is the lies of the preditors they worship.
ReplyDeleteTime for Ruthie to gather up her toys and go home.
ReplyDeleteI like how you are all bossing this person you call Ruthie. Do you sell cookies for your show too. How well you like to slam here. What do you know anyhow? But you are right. Anyone who spends time on this blog has got to be insane.
ReplyDeleteInsane? Ruthie will scratch her own face just to get the police to arrest you!
ReplyDeleteLike what do you really know? What do you really know? ya, like what do you really know? Ya, like what do you really know?
ReplyDeleteHad anyone of us been through what Ruth has been through, we may be just the same. Best not to judge someone when you haven't walked in their shoes.
ReplyDeleteNo desire to walk in her shoes, she chose a gentile path.
ReplyDeleteThe constant misuse of the term gentile is offensive and underwhelming. The only correct use for the term "gentile" is as used in the Bible, when referring to those who are not Jewish. The vast majority of people in the world at any given time are gentiles, using the term correctly and biblically. Joseph Smith borrowed and corrupted so many Bible terms and teachings, it's pathetic. ALL lds and "fundamentalist lds" are gentiles, since they are not Jewish, according to the correct use of the term. It just shows how ignorant thousands and thousands remain out there in Mormon-influenced states, to continue to refer to people as gentile in the way the term has been conscripted and misused by lds false teachings. But that's just one example of numerous problems when looking at the over-arching plagiarism and terminology misuses the lds religion.
ReplyDeleteLike I said, what do you really know? What do you really know? You talk about some one you know nothing about as being in a gentile path. What do you really know? Since I know Ruth better than any person on earth and not one soul upon the earth has really taken the time to talk to her, more than the wasted breath you use to accuse, I ask again, "What do you really Know?" gossip, rumors, hatred and lies? and I say, if you bigoted hateful people save your own souls, you will be happy. for you can not get into heaven on gossip, lies and filth. and you know nothing at all about Ruth, except that you lie. Look in the mirror and save yourself.
ReplyDeleteLook in the mirror and save yourself. You are familiar with the outside world now aren't you?
ReplyDeleteHow many have you harmed with lies such as Ruth;s.
Some times the blogs do get confusing but I lookat it as that this is a great way for any kind of person to state whatthey are feeling I do not know ruth but I also do not believe that she would lie. I thinkit is more that she is hurt.Idolike alotofwhat she has said in the past. I dobelieve that if a person does notknow a religion then no one has a say in how they believe.I do not understand very many religions but I also get really dissapointed when people bible bash on religions if you DO NOT LIKE THE RELIGION THEN DONT TALK ABOUT IT. The is just plainand simple get it to gether for thoughs of you who bible bash.
ReplyDeleteIt is the nature of blogs to express opinions, right? And for a few of us, to try to instruct when it seems necessary? Don't many of those who use blogs squeal when they see something that is just downright incorrect?
ReplyDeleteThe information about the term "gentile" above is completely historically correct. It is not some big mystery, folks. The Old Testament was completed several centuries before Christ was born, and the New Testament is all from the first century. Jews were either termed Jews, or Israelites, or Hebrews. All others, who were not descended from Abraham, through Isaac, then Jacob, came to be referred to in general as gentiles. It's easy to observe in the evangelical translations of the last few centuries, which all were produced by extremely well-educated ancient language and modern language PH.D's, and other professional historians.
I guess if you have never been outside Mormonland you just may not know this, but it's pretty common knowledge in many parts of the US, and the world in general. Wherever the Bible has been well distributed and has become a significant document for a nation, at least historically, people can easily compare the King James Bible with more modern sect offerings.
Joseph Smith, founder of what is known as The Latter Day Saints,(and many other early lds leaders and writers, plus other founders of numerous modern sects and belief systems) most certainly all committed a great deal of misuse of Christian and Jewish Scriptures and teachings, when they created their easily-researched twistings of the King James Bible, thereby misleading people by the thousands, as is still going on today. It is extremely easy to prove these things, particularly if you know the King James Bible well, which was completed in 1611. It became the most commonly known Bible for a very long time in the US, and it's a cinch to obtain free copies of it, any day, anywhere you go in the US. It's easy to access well-researched documents from the 1800's about Joseph Smith's childhood, activities, friends, etc. You can pick up a King James Bible in countless places across the US, or read it online, and become completely familiar with it from page one to the end. You SHOULD finally be able to see just how much of a mess the Book of Mormon is, if you learn the King James Bible well. The BOM is a frightfully sorry mixture of King James Bible verses, attempted King James language style, and outright fantasy. Why not help your life by taking some months to do what I suggest here.
If you choose to ignore the loads of documentation that has been produced showing just how much of a fraud and charlatan Smith was, then that's simply your choice. Lds leaders faithfully disinform members year after year, quite deliberately, to keep the money rolling in. It is an individual's choice to refuse to face facts by refusing to read the thorough research that has been produced by a large number of very dedicated researchers. Many of these people spent decades themselves as faithful Mormons, until they couldn't stand to practice what they increasingly saw were outright lies and blasphemies anymore, to put it bluntly.
Also, one blogger can state that they think people should keep quiet "if they don't know about something." Just because someone says something that you yourself have never heard? There are many things others have completed painstaking research on, about which you may not have ever heard. It doesn't mean that person doesn't know what they are taking about. All lds teachings and history are extremely easy to research. Mormonism is much less than two hundred years old. Lds leadership and fundamentalist groups do not want their faithful followers to know the truth about a number of things. If someone says something you don't agree with, or you simply have never researched as extensively as someone you disagree with, that certainly doesn't prove you are the only one who knows anything on a certain subject.
I never said that I am the only one who knows anything but I do not walk around this world blaming other religions of how they partice. we all believe that they is a god and the lord and the holy spirt unless you are an athisest these are the ones who should hove zero opinion beause they believe that we evolved by monkeys if this was true way is it that our babies do not look like monkies. And the bible does read the same for everyone not just mormons and the flds jews, cathlics, baptise and so on read the same book and the best thing is that no one knows what the true hurh is so we move about in this world thinking we have the right hurh that we want to attend.
ReplyDeleteRuth, your negative behavior and anger are causing the calamities throughout the world. Please be sweet and save the world!
ReplyDeleteI would have to disagree that the Bible reads the same for everyone. The reason I say this is that there are falsified "versions" of it, with seemingly trustworthy, ok-sounding names, published by various falsehood-teaching sects, such as the item the Jehovah's Witnesses use. Such "translations" are NOT freshly rendered new translations at all, but are just plagiarized almost entirely from decent Bible translations, except that critical passages are laced with alterations, tweaked a bit to serve a certain group's false beliefs and goals. Just a word or two changed here and there in a verse now and then can cause a "new," and definitely false doctrine to be taught. This is like toxin, using what WAS originally good and helpful Bible text. This technique is a big ingredient in how harmful leaders and teachers work and lead people astray.
ReplyDeletePretty soon, they can lay claim to all kinds of control and privileges for themselves, because followers do not possess good enough Bible knowledge (nor do they understand just how they've been led astray.) They are conditioned to doubt and fear, and to place their hopes in something other than truth, like a powerful, charismatic leader, who can never help them.
When people are actually born and raised in a tightly-controlled group or society where other books are held up alongside a properly authorized, evangelically-produced Bible, and are taught that other books (for example, the BOM) "are as valuable" as the Bible, that's the root of false sect and cult situations. They keep being told this from childhood, then we see cults, powerful ones, even spanning generations, many families and numbers of people brainwashed against something they were never taught properly to begin with. Hopefully, some of these people who never knew the Bible well, may finally begin looking at it for themselves, which is wonderful.(You just can't spot a counterfeit easily if you aren't familiar enough with genuine currency.)
This was Joseph Smith's technique- he used much deception and chicanery. People are controlled by lies partly because there is still power in the bits and pieces borrowed from the Bible, even though used wrongly, and mixed with errors on purpose to create some "new religion." It can take many years for people taught falsely to finally respect and properly revere the Old and New Testaments. And again, I am talking about Bible editions produced by the best scholars available, who have no personal agenda, they just possess excellent language training, and they work with people who are knowledgable about Bible era customs and cultures, using the oldest languages known to exist, in which Jewish and Christian ideas were written down many centuries ago. Anyone can benefit from their great efforts if they would just read through the descriptions of how translations came to be, the credentials, etc.
Joseph Smith told so many preposterous lies about the Bible, yet his cohorts used lots of verses from it to create something to raise curiosity and make as much money as possible for themselves. This result was called The Book of Mormon. This was just one of his methods of trickery to swindle people, angering so many during his lifetime, claiming all kinds of absolutely ridiculous things. People were influenced by his personality anyway. Smith's trickery and writings still go on as one of the many false religions in the modern world.
It can take many years to spot the serious errors in mixed-up writings when you have not been taught the Bible well enough first.
weird how you try to lay blame on people. Do you suppose any one here has more power than God. weird. I think you are weird; who ever said negative energy is causing clamitys. Weird. Do you even suppose that you are greater than God and can cause these great destrutions? wierd. I know you all just like to talk and keep a good conflab going, but that was weird. And as to saving the World; that is impossible. each and every soul has to put forth a consintrated effort to save themselves. Tis impossible for another soul to do that.
ReplyDeleteI know quite a bit about the world of polygamy. I was born into and grew up in one of those cults and I can tell you that it's terrifying and abusive. My father's (the leader's) main goal was to create a world that only he controlled. I was completely unprepared to live in the world because I was never meant to be in it. I was supposed to be one of god's soldiers leading the world into a new era of my father's envisioning. But the reality is that I was abused and neglected and broken. This is what the world of polygamous Mormon cults does to people.
ReplyDeleteInterestingly, my name is also Ruth, but thankfully I still have most of my marbles. For the sake of this blog, I'll go by Rufus.
-Rufus
I am glad Rufus that you came out with your name change. But even you do not control the world. People who use religion to abuse are weird.
ReplyDeleteI am flattered that you have given me so much credit. I shall have a right royal fit and see if I can muster up a few more storms. Gee, is that all it takes to get rid of murders and people who violate the contitution and America so baddly. You mean all I have to do is throw a fit, and we would have a free country again. I shall try it then, with all my streanth. Here is to the down fall of tyrany, and the Up-rise of rightouseness.
ReplyDeleteOkay...Never claimed to control the world...
ReplyDeleteRufus
Warren may be on his deathbed. If that isn't Karma, I don't know what is.
ReplyDeleteIt is not carma, it is called Murder at the hands of the government. It is called Murder, because you all hated a certain religion.
ReplyDeleteA perverted religion based on false precepts, one that instructs it's Priesthood on how to control and to abuse children for sexual pleasure. The Fathers are instructed to prepare their daughters for marriage. Is this
ReplyDeletea religion to hate? It is a religion to pity. It is based on a family love that has no branches in the family tree. You know this well Ruth and I know your secrets.
Well, apparently the dear soul right above my comment here has no willingness at all to believe that Warren Jeffs has in fact personally committed many capital crimes. It's hopeless to try to help some people. Warren Jeffs is just a blind man leading blind people. The fortunate ones are the ones who have gotten out of flds.
ReplyDeleteAnd no, nobody's murdering anybody. Warren fasts on purpose to manipulate everything and everyone that he can. He is very conniving, and is one of the most cold criminals in today's world. A real wolf in sheep's clothing. He uses everything and everyone around him to get what he wants, and he has done it since he was just a young boy himself.
Jeffs was warned over and over agin to stop practicing and performing underage marriages, which is capital rape in most U.S. states. Mr. Jeffs was practicing group sex with several underage girls at a time at the yfz ranch. The tapes he made of these acts were confiscated from the ranch, clearly proving his outrageous acts. And as far as "hating a certain religion" goes- Those who pursue a religion that is based on capital crime have to be punished, or social chaos will result.
And you know what else? flds members are taught to hate all people and all religions except their own. And they have abandoned innocent teens hundreds of times in the name of their religion. Almost all flds beliefs are a disgrace. So unfortunately, the "religion" deserves to be a target of prosecution and punishment. Anyone else doing what Jeffs did would have to face punishment if found out, and they do often, all across the US. Screaming that he was just practicing his religion is silly and totally bogus. He should not be exempt from our laws any more than anyone else doing the same crimes as he has done. The sexual abuse in flds has gone on way too long. What Jeffs and followers are going through is all by their own hands. If everyone else in the US did exactly what they wished as their "religion" we wouldn't even have a country left. Whoever you are, your total blindness continues. Shame on you.
Imagine the Father inspecting his daughters for their developmental progress. Sampling their response to his fondling to determine when they are ripe. Remember this Ruth?
ReplyDeleteContinuing to defend a cold-hearted rapist as if he were some hero, no matter how much irrefutable evidence is brought forward! Evidence in Warren's very own voice!! You who still defend this abominable fraud, have you no shame?
ReplyDeleteThe poor jurors in Texas had to endure many minutes on tape of Warren's perverse "pure and holy" sexual instructions which he "administered" to several underage girls at a time at the yfz "ranch." (just call it the Jeffs personal breeding facility.) Some jurors were crying! Yet this "prophet" still has defenders! It's unbelievable, pitiful, and disgusting. Just unbelievable. What's wrong with you, Jeffs defenders? Are you even human yourself?
If a person can't find something better to stick up for than Jeffs, I just can't feel anything but disgust. Warren should have been in jail many years ago. He has been spared many times because those he was molesting were too terrified to tell anyone what he had done to them. Recently, yet another relative of his (that he molested 21 years ago at Alta Academy) that is now 28 just came forward. He molested very young males and females, several of his own close relatives, and other children and teens of his worshippers. And still this lunatic has his defenders.
Utah disgracefully overturned his accomplice to rape conviction on the astonishing technicality reasoning. Utah should hang its head in shame over these foul deeds. But then, we now hear recently that a judge in Utah also ordered suppression of solid evidence that Warren's sex crimes were already known to be documented on tape at least five years ago. So he could have been successfully sentenced for capital crimes at that time. But at least Texas finally has him.
Better late than never. He is a cold-hearted pervert who just couldn't stop committing atrocities. And he has defenders who just can't stop their addiction to defending his destructive life. It's astonishing.
I do not suppose any of you really know anything you are talking about, one way or the OTher.
ReplyDeleteThese innocents accept evil as guidance. Just remember, anything we say or do is evil in their concept of the world. So our words will always be twisted to their own satisfaction of persecution.
ReplyDeleteRuth, tell us your version of the Mountain Meadows Massacre.
ReplyDeleteThis blind defense of a black-hearted weirdo pervert shows just how extensive brainwashing and denial is in a group such as flds. Mind-slaves would rather defend a guy who deserves many life sentences, than have an honest thought of their own. It's a real study in mental conditioning.
ReplyDeleteEven with the disinformation from their other "leaders" one would think decent people would finally get a clue. But no, to them, the entire world lies, and the obviously twisted creep Warren Jeffs is still some kind of innocent sweetheart. Yes, they even get ready to worship a big statue! For heaven's sake!
I have never seen anything quite this weird on American soil. Such pathetic, misguided idolatry. You flds have been judging so many others wrongfully for years, but you yourself haven't got a shred of decency left in your own hearts. The state of Texas found thousands of documents at yfz which include many writings in Warren's own "priesthood records," plus numerous recordings Warren made of himself committing his sleazy "religious trainings." He's nothing but a slime ball. People have been subjected to his "trainings" for years even while he was on the run. He carried recording equipment around with him year after year. So much tithe money poured into his filthy hands, and this is what he was been doing with it- having a huge breeding ranch built for himself in a big new state where he deluded himself and followers some more, continuing to "train" people to worship his sex-crazed personality. If girls showed resistance to having sex with him, he banished them. Where are all of the girls he molested, who Texas found in his records by name after name, and where are all of the ones he wanted to molest that were driven away from yfz? What would be his orders regarding them now, do you suppose?
What about the men he took everything from? What about the boys he molested? Some are grown now, and some committed suicide years ago.
I am going to be 53 soon, and I have never once heard of such weird, self-centered "records" in my life. There are lots of criminals but Warren's ongoing masquerade has a special kind of sin-sickness to it. Even so, we can read warnings and descriptions about people like him in both Old and New Testaments. They are called false Christs and false prophets, and they use people like slaves, like so much money, as it flows in and out of their filthy hands, following the notions of their constantly filthy hearts.
The level of evil that people like Warren will use has no limits. He's nothing but a sex-obsessed capital felon and a very polished con artist. Fortunately there are still ways of dealing with such nut cases. Because of his very own self-absorption with making records, Warren helped tie up a very tight case against himself.
His lies FINALLY caught up with him because of his very own prurient record-keeping. But there are many people he has damaged. So he will stand before God some day and give an account of all this selfish destruction of others, yet he will be insisting he did all this "in God's name." And Warren will most certainly hear those final words "I never knew you" out of the unimpeachable mouth of the King of the universe. Warren still thinks he is going to avoid judgment by the King of Kings, or he wouldn't be trying to rush into eternity with these fasts and games he plays. He would actually want to buy himself more time and get himself straightened out. He confessed years ago to being a liar, usurper, and immoral. It's all on tapes that he orderd to be played for all flds to hear. But they never were distributed as he ordered. He actually had to be talked back into believing in his own "prophet status" by his deluded henchmen. What a guy! What a nonsense "religion!" A god that has to be persuaded he is still god!
So, for the second time the people who are trying to murder WArren JEffs and putting out a lot of lies have failed. When they gave him the drug to kill him for their lies, he did live. So, would you kill for religion? I know, I heard your screaming; but you all know the truth. Look yourself in the mirror; would you kill for religion?
ReplyDeleteWas waco worth it to you?
was Ruby Ridge worth it to you?
Was the bombing of the Twin Tower's worth it to you?
Was the war you started worth it to you?
Was the Hurricanes sweeping your shores worth it to you?
Was the earth quake worth it to you?
The earth quake in Washington D. C. worth it to you? Are you ready again for your attact to fall upon you? For God has turned your mirrors. Be ready to fall, if you do decide to attact again.
And I see that you mock God. It is not us you hate, it is the creator.
Yes, they did not suceed in their murder twice now.
And do you really think we are all so stupid that we do not see your lies? Warren Jeffs would not ever injure any soul upon the earth.
ReplyDeleteUncle Warren has spent many years of his life injuring many souls on the earth. He is completing the mission he set out on long ago: to become a martyr like Joe Smith and Jesus Christ. He's following the pattern of Joe Smith - conning and lying and coming up with bizarre revelations intended to dupe sheeple who refuse to read and think for themselves. In the old days, they were able to "govern themselves," but no more. Now they choose to live, speak, eat, do everything they're told because they are lazy thinkers. Do they deserve such tyranny? Someday somewhere they will have to face the truth and experience the shame of it all. Pitiful!
ReplyDeleteI'd sooner die, or never be born, than to have to live in a group like flds - a group where I would have to allow myself to be molded continually into a cramped- minded robot, never have any hope of being an individual, never be allowed to stop bearing children if my body and mind couldn't handle it, never be allowed out of the horrible slavery of being at the disposal of a selfish man who was having sex with numerous other women and probably underage girls as well, passing infections on to me...never having any way of expressing artistic ideas through non- approved art or music or other creative pastimes, never have any honest thoughts of my own without fear of retribution, never receive the truth about anything in life except little tidbits fed to me by grossly immoral, shallow, charlatan "leaders." ...As ialso f all that weren't bad enough, to be constantly taught to hate the entire world around me except a tiny handful of local people that all dress and act almost exactly the same.. to be taught to lie frequently, to ignore my own feelings and dreams, to be taught to commit acts of coldness toward so many others when orderd to, to be conditioned to turn my back on my beloved children if someone else told me to.. it's all just astonishing and nauseating.
ReplyDeleteYa, like what do you really know?
ReplyDeleteWhoever you are, you poor soul, you don't seem to know nearly enough about reality, or the world at large, or you would stop defending twisted criminals. I absolutely believe it is not all your own fault, since you were most likely raised flds, and that's a mighty heavy, seriously lopsided mental-conditioning blanket to struggle under every day. flds people have been fed a terrible amount of lies from their leaders, about the world at large, and even about their own lives, and their own little society, in so many ways.
ReplyDeleteYou're an adult, I believe, and I think you have had many people try to help you, for a long time. Not one of us is an island, we all need others, we all often need help in life, and we all make mistakes. Most people in the world have much heartache by the time their lives are over- you are not the only one that struggles, you can rest assured of that.
You are welcome to stay in your illusions the rest of your life, if you must. Fortunately, others are seeing the light. If you just can't, well, that's that. God knows every single thought and intent of the heart of every single one of us. He is the only One who knows exactly the truth about each of us. He knows every thought. Jesus alone saves, heals, and forgives. Jesus is not in a tiny cell somewhere, demanding huge sums of money to pay his lawyers, from followers that can barely feed their kids. Jesus never kept records locked in expensive safes, records detailing numerous sexual encounters with people that looked up to him, people age twelve and up. Jesus never molested kindergartners while masquerading as a benevolent school principal.
Jesus never ordered men and women to "marry for time and eternity" and have tons of kids together, only to later order the fathers, even excellent, decent, faithful ones, to turn their backs on those children forever, but still be sure to send in their "tithe" from afar. Warren never had any authority to judge anyone, or "forgive" anyone of sins, is if he were God himself. Warren will pay for his many blasphemies.
It seems you will never be able to accept it, but Warren Jeffs is just a self-centered, very mortal man with serious criminal tendencies and numerous documented bad acts, for which he has now been convicted and rightfully sentenced. He will one day face Jesus, the King of Kings, the only Righteous One, in whose name Warren committed many foul deeds.
You will face Jesus also, whoever you are. I believe you will be forgiven for at least some of your inability to see the light about many things. It's not all your fault.
Ruth, you make me laugh with your judgement of others. You continue to judge yourself to the world. Kind of waving your smelly celestial underwear for everyone to see like your brothers and sisters.
ReplyDeleteYa, like what do you really know?
ReplyDeleteEnough about you :)
Hala-damb-lu-ya. You actually will talk about something else. Why you selfish pigs, get on with it.
ReplyDeleteYou can bet your boots that the media is full of lies. One day it is and one day it ain't and which was the truth, this is or the ain't. either way they lied about something. but each to their own.
ReplyDeleteKeep your filthy comments out'a my face, now ya, here. You was the ones who said to talk about something worth talking about. Pigs who lie.
Enough about you :) Too!
ReplyDeleteI am one of your neighbors!
Ah ha ha ha ha!
Stopped in to take in the goings on in CC/H. Huge funeral. Anyone know who passed ?
ReplyDeleteRuth
ReplyDeleteWhat is your interpretation of the Mountain Meadows Massacre, or are you too busy setting fires in Texas ?
I feel really bad for those of you who juged and hate another group so bad that you have lost sight of who you really are. do you guys not remember you are children of god and shame on you for letting him see you act this way I know that if i was god I would be very ashamed of how people in this world are acting. I am very greatful that I am not god.
ReplyDeleteWarren Jeffs like many people
ReplyDeletewho hold positions of power
can often abuse their position,
but that does not mean the whole
Flds is the same
There may be a few wholsesome ideas practiced by flds, such as having gardens and dressing modestly, but the majority of ideas taught CLEARLY by flds(you cannot deny it, so don't try to, ok?) the majority of things which make flds what it is are PLAIN, FLAT-OUT WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG, and cruel, too. Teaching that everybody has to be a polygamist to please God, that males should always have the final word in everything, that some "prophet" is next to God in importance, when in fact (obviously) he is just some mortal sinner from down the street like everyone else.... that women can never please God except by being married to some guy or other- (such bogus idiocy!)- that girls can't achieve anything better, EVER, than to have too many kids to pay attention to, and they should accept that their "husband" should be passed around to other females, and that the females should be passed around ("re-assigned") to new men now and then- UGH! how in the world does flds see itslef as more upright than the world around them, doing these terrible things? that boys should be kicked out who don't "fit the mold," that girls should be married as soon as possible (so they will not emotionally be able to leave easily, since they'll have a bunch of kids before they can even think one thought of their own)- it's all alarming, disgraceful and outrageous human rights abuse, and severe deprivation, and organizations that do these things to people need to die out, my friend. flds kids all are taught to defy the laws of the land in many ways, and on and on it goes. THIS IS ABUSE, AND IT HAPPENS TO BE TREACHERY AGAINST OUR NATION, TOO, btw. The VAST MAJORITY of flds teachings and practice are flat-out wrong and not good for people because they are lies, and they encourage law-breaking behaviors. So sorry, you can say there are some nice flds, I am sure there are, because all belief systems everywhere have both decent people and messed-up people. But to defend flds as harmless and wholsesome, NO, NO NO, and again I say, NO! flds ways have shown that people born into it are severely oppressed and inaccurate in their worldview, are deprived in their educational needs,(they don't have to be taught evolution to be given a much better education, ok? Lots of us out in the US and world don't believe in evolution, but we don't beat our kids over the head with polygamy and prophet-slavery all day every day!) flds are also twisted in their ability to understand right treatement of individuals as beings with choices and freedoms. I would never, ever defend what flds teaches and practices as a good lifestyle, because it just isn't. There are plenty of ways to practice good eating habits, modesty, and cultivate love for God, etc, that have nothing whatsoever to do with such things as what flds does. In general I see flds as very cruel, unnecessarily narrow, twisted and unhealthy, and unrealistic for way too many of the dear people born into it. There may be a few people that can deal with the deprivation and twistedness, but in fact every single person in flds is taught to defy many perfectly good, realistic, fair, and right US laws, so it can't truly be ok for one person in it, unfortunately. It is flat-out NOT a good way to raise your children, or create a proper home for men or women, or anybody else.
ReplyDeleteI am sure there are nice flds people. However, the things I have heard that they believe, from so many sources, and from different people, astonishes me. It seems like a pretty poor way to raise children, for lots of reasons. If it was such a great belief system, there would be a whole lot more practicing flds, with the birth rate they have. They cast out many of their own youngsters and they have too many practices that encourage law-breaking behavior. So many of them have left and written books and given interviews. That proves there has to be something cruel and wrong going on, in spite of the way they defend themselves. Many of their young also just choose to leave because they can't stand the whole thing. So it seems like a pretty damaging lifestyle. I honestly can't see the flds system as proper or good, in spite of the old-fashioned flavor to their appearance, work ethic, and dietary practices. There are too many things which are cruel and wrong about the lifestyle and beliefs to outweigh the couple of good aspects. The sect needs to abide by our nation's laws. If every other family and group was allowed to pick and choose what laws to observe and not observe, as flds do.. we'd have total chaos in no time in the US.
ReplyDeleteWhat has amazed me for a long time with a group like flds is how they perceive themselves as the only people who don't approve of certain things in our nation and the world..as if they have an exclusive holiness and modesty sensitivity- This just shows how tweaked and damagingly isolated they have made themselves. That they don't even know much about the people they are fellow citizens with, no matter where they go.
ReplyDeleteThey just go right on assuming they are holy because of this or that practice that they have. Actually, the Bible tells us that we as humans do not possess any righteousness of our own at all, that "all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags."
And it also says God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble. The way I see flds, they aren't humble- they are the ones who are proud. They take pride in their family name connections, their big hair, their rules, their supposedly pure lifestyle- and you know what- God sees everything anyway. He's not looking at the hair, the dresses, the family last name, or any of that. Only Jesus Christ is worthy and righteous, and without His forgiveness, it's hopeless for every person.
Lots of people don't like practices that show the moral problems and deceit and what-not which seems all around these days. Lots of people don't watch tv or look at bad stuff on the internet, or drink, or smoke, or go dancing, or wear skimpy clothing, etc. Lots of people don't wear make-up or jewelry.(and I am not saying I disapprove of make-up and jewelry, just am making a point.) Lots of people are very decent and modest.
Frankly, it seems to me that lying is a big part of flds life, and I have heard many times that the older males drink alcohol often. I have also seen flds use bad words many times in public, and in their writing in blogs. So those things, added to the ridiculous polygamous "marriage" practices, and wife re-assignments, and submitting to (actually, as I see it, worshiping) some mortal guy as if he were God- hey, trust me, there are many Americans that live more upright lives than doing that kind of stuff. The outward stuff- the famous super-tame dresses, all the rest, only show an outward thing to the world at large. Well, in Proverbs in the Old Testament we are told that man is the one who looks at the outward appearance, but it is God, the true God of heaven, (not some holier-than-thou dude walking around in Utah or wherever)- the true God looks at the heart. He's the only One Who knows exactly what goes on in every human heart, and that definitely includes flds hearts.
He is the only Righteous Judge of each man's sin, not some dude down the street who is related to everybody else in town or at some commune, and who decides to tear kids and parents and couples apart on a whim.
And as far as the laws of our nation go, we all either observe them or get prosecuted and jailed if need be, when we won't observe the laws. Going around saying "it's our religion" could be applied to anything under the sun, and soon there would be nothing left of a society or nation with any common decency
So flds creates problems. It does not solve them. It does not help our nation. If they don't like US laws and want to go on with their law-breaking they should find a country that will put up with what they do.

ReplyDeleteWarren Jeffs like many people
who hold positions of power
can often abuse their position,
but that does not mean the whole
Flds is the same

The FLDS are backing him up though - unless you are saying they are ignorant and dont know of his heinous abuses?
OBTW, not all are backing him up - lots of smart FLDS folks have him figured out.
