  1. I should be understanding, however Val had a dark side which drove his family into paranoia. A cruel deception which could have been avoided. The stories recently published by Gary Nailes are manipulated and full of lies.

  2. What about Marie, Val's legal wife and the two children he abandoned with her. Was he a gentleman and understanding in this case? They never legally divorced.

  3. I didnt know this man that died. But i wondering why if he worked, his wife is having to get donations for his buriel?

  4. I knew Val many years ago, and I am sure he would have always been the same kind of gentleman as his Father. I do hope that all of his family can freely come together to say their farewells.
    He will be missed.

  6. peace is a good word to hear. Let's hear it for all. PEACE

  7. Though I am not sure of the proper spelling, I'm sure Val was the son of Alene and Edson.

  8. Val was a veteran of the Vietnam War, shouldn't Laurene be eligible
    for some benefits including burial?

  9. why do people, hate? Why is there sorrow? When will love really be there? is there contention every where? where are the saint's who love? Where are the People who do not play prank's. Where are the one's who truly care? Where? Where? Where are the one's who care? between the lies, and prank's and snear's; where are the people who really cared?

  10. I'm not sure what you're talking about, anonymous, but perhaps it will help to remember that the Bible says there will be no more tears or sorrow in heaven. I think pain is a part of this life, just as joy is, but the next world will be better.

  11. Let's not look too longingly to the next life, after all the quality of the next life is dependant upon what you do with this one.

  12. how joyful it would be to go from this world. How blessed it would be.

  13. how to destroy your wife; first tell every one she is stupid. then beat her up. Rob her. and walk around like a saint. Flatter every one, so they think you are perfect, why they mock your wife. Sit back and pat yourself on the back. Hire a few lawyer's to keep her confined. Sit back and pat yourself on the back. Walla;

  14. Well anon 10:20 If that's your take on things, what is stopping you? Go!!! I personally prefer people that enjoy life.

And anon 10:31 pretty gutsy to be able to insult the dead.

    ReplyDelete
  15. this had nothing to do with the dead.

  16. I agree that we need to live this life while we have. I merely made my observation as an encouragment to Anon 2:47. In times of sorrow and trial it can help to remember that there is a time of healing and everlasting joy coming. Then again, I usually find reading the Psalms to be the most uplifting. If anyone went through hard times, it was definitely David, and yet he never failed to praise God and find hope and encouragement. He's kind of my hero. ;)

  17. Laurene will need lots of love, help and guidance.

I hope she finds a true friend who can help her find her self worth.

  18. Amen, Anon 8:47 I will keep her in my prayers.

  19. So what happened to Marie and her children?
Will Luerene be married to another man?

  20. Perhaps she will return to the man who loved her and supported her for a couple of years.

  21. thank you Rebecca, for your encouragement. I like to read these passages in the bible too. It comforts me a great deal. I appreciate you help. And I thank all of you for your kind words.

  22. My name is Bob

Laurene and I shared our lives for a period of time. We shared our lives, a mutual love and I labored to support she and her children. When she left, we both agreed and understood that her children needed their true father and mother for a stable family. As time passed, she and I remained in communication, even Val and I began to communicate. There was much healing that took place between us. Let Val rest in peace, Lolly needs friends and much support now. Her family will always be in my prayers.

  23. I too am saddened by the passing of Val. For the last year my correspondence with him was healing because we both had reach a common ground, a level of mutual respect and understanding. To transgress a bit, Laurene and I shared our lives and love for a period of time, I devoted myself to she and her children. When she decided to leave, I respected that. Lolly wanted a family with a true Father and Mother. Let Val rest now and lets support Laurene and her family, in prayer and friendship.

  26. bbgae...I'll admit my heart jumped a bit! I remember reading [a long ways back] that a lot of people thought OTS was Val.So, I never knew for sure. So, OTS, even though you driveme nuts with your speechifying...I am glad to see you are alive and well.

  27. well, I never thought on the street was Val. I knew Val. Any one that knew Val would not think he was on the street. I know who on the street is though.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I admit I am guilty of thinking OTS was Val. But obviously not. (Sorry Val..I feel guilty) But he DID have an ax to grind, (as does OTS) and he IS well read (as is OTS) and he DID like to make his point to as many people as possible (OTS again...) and he WAS at one time On The Street, so to speak......so......that leaves the question....WHO IS OTS?????? Hints? Anyone?

I missed you guys, too. Been real busy- I moved.

  30. OTS is Sherril Zitting. And yes he is mental.

  31. I could tell you, but then the moderator would have to delete me.

  32. who the hell cares, let the poor psycho stew in his own privet juice.

  33. maybe all of us who misjudged Val owe his family an apology. I for one should have known better. for what its worth, I'm sorry.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Does Beck ring a bell with anyone?

    ReplyDelete
  35. Beck, Val's brother and Sherril Zitting was Val's sister? What a grand mess, does Laurene know of this?

    ReplyDelete
  36. Uncaduff

Val was not misjudged. The complexity of this situation and the deception of his family is becoming more evident. Those involved should be ashamed for their role in this matter. Zitting, Ruth and etc...

Laurene will now sink into the agendas of others, the very thing she wanted to avoid.

  37. My God!! The story contrived by Val and Laurene for Gary Naler is full of lies. Why in the world would such a story be made available when it is contrary to the facts? Bob? would you be willing to share some stories about your life with Laurene and supporting the family? The death threats towards you from Val and the general fear you and Laurene lived under?

You were more to the family than a babysitter , you gave your life.

  38. OTS is Sherril Zitting. And yes he is mental.

Is this a fact or a guess? I know Sherrel may have sometimes been a little off the wall but is he really onthestreet? And how did Beck get into this conversation?

  39. Beck, Val's brother and Sherril Zitting was Val's sister? What a grand mess, does Laurene know of this?

    9/26/2008 8:18 PM

Well I would hope she doesn't know this because you've got it all wrong. He is nobody's sister; Sherril is James Zittings brother and Beck and Val are brothers but of different mothers. Beck's Mother divorced Edson Sr. and left Short Creek many years ago.
I don't know where all this judgmental concern is coming from regarding Val, and I would never judge the man when he was alive and I certainly am not in the position to judge him now.
    Let him rest.

  41. why do we worry who street is anyway? he wants to stay anonymous and practice his right to free speech, nothing anyone can say will change him, and he has been monitored in such a way that you don't have read his stuff unless you want too,so why not leave him alone?

what happened to "don't feed the troll"?

    ReplyDelete
  42. Having not seen Sherril in some 40 years the thought that he may be OTS does put an interesting twist on things.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Sherril Zitting is OTS?? That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard!! Besides, he has been missing for years!! When his mother passed, no one could find any trace of him. And Beck did not have a computer during most of the last 5 years or so. (I lived with him, so I know.)

    ReplyDelete
  44. Well I would never think any such thing of Beck, I'm sure he wouldn't waste his time producing OTS style babble. He might be capable of comedy though, so point him in the direction of a computer.

  45. Currently we should no be drifting into suspicions and must respect the virtues of the departed. He is gone. Our greatest concern now should be for the welfare of Laurene and her family.

  47. Laurene Jessop was arrested on an out of state warrant Friday, December 19, 2008 and released December 22, 2008.

    Why was she arrested?

    ReplyDelete
  48. Because her husband told her to break the law.

  49. I just finished reading Elissa's book and I was happy to spend the money buying it. I congratulate her for her courage. It's clear that God was watching out for her throughout all of her trials as difficult as they were and that He had a purpose for her in helping to stop this corrupt man. I believe the God is a loving God that never forces a man to heaven. It astounds me that so many people would follow a man as corrupt as Warren Jeffs. It reminded me very much of the Taliban and WWII Germany. Human nature is intriguing to me and his coercive methods of cutting people off increasingly and their feeling afraid to stand up and say what was right. There are so many contradictions in his teachings, it's frustrating that more people don't stand up and do what's right. Good for you Elissa! Stand strong.
