Willie Jessop

Who is he and how did Mr. Jessop become the spokesperson for the FLDS? How much authority does he have in making commitments for them?

71 comments:

  1. According to 20/20 he was Warren Jeff's body guard.

    ReplyDelete
  2. William "Willie" Jessop..is a spokesperson at the request of the Presiding Elder over him. It is NOT something that he is doing on his own. He would not be doing this if he was not asked to.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Is he Merril Jessop's son? How many wives does he have? Did he have children at the Ranch? If not, where do his children live?

    ReplyDelete
  4. How many underage wives does Willie have?

Also, I heard he has another occupation....strip clubs.

  5. looking at Willie versus the other men
I don't think Willie eats at the Ranch
looks to me more like a steak and suds man

  6. I've heard his strip clubs are in South Dakota.

  7. Willie is not Merril's son. Merril & Willie's Dad are 1st cousins. He did tell the media that he has 1 wife and a little boy. Not true! Last I knew he was married to 2 of Milward Barlow's daughters. He can't tell the truth. It is not in his make-up. He has always been a liar. He's a perfect representative for the FLDS: A lying liar lying for lying liars!

  8. I believe that he is a dirt digger as stated in court record, and that he was Jeff's body guard..he is the typical body guard all brawn no brain!

  9. Willie is the man Warren Jeffs said should have been the rightful leader in his jailhouse confession as to his not being the true prophet. He seems to be well educated, well spoken and yes well fed.

    ReplyDelete
  10. The man Warren said should been named Profit is William E Jessop not William S Jessop.
William E. Jessop is really William E. Timpson. His mother was Kathy Jessop, a daughter of Edson Jessop. She was married to Alma A. Timpson. Timpson helped found Centennial Park with Marion Hammon after a falling out with Leroy S. Johnson in the mid-1980s.
To read more google William E Jessop.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Sorry my mistake, So Will E. is not Willie. How do the people of Centennial Park feel about that statement? Would William "Timpson" accept that role?

    ReplyDelete
  12. The Centennial Park people have never looked to Warren as anything but nutty. They aren't going to have "Bishop Willie" leading them.

    ReplyDelete
  13. From what I have heard of Warren Jeffs; I can see why so many people spell profit instead of prophet.
With him in prison is the flds now a non-prophet organization?

    ReplyDelete
  14. So is Willie Jessop the William S Jessop on the Bishops list? Wife Carlene other wife Tina.

From the new york times: ( hmm I wonder what happened to Tina?)
In one case on Monday afternoon, a lawyer for a mother of four named Carlene Jessop argued that the state was lumping all the families together and not acknowledging that some of them lived apart from the communal experience that the state said exposed the children to the under-age marriage practices.

“This family is not part of a commune,” said the lawyer, Nancy B. DeLong, referring to Ms. Jessop and her husband, William S. Jessop, who have said they have four children together, from 8 years old to almost 2, now in state custody. “They need to be separated out.”

  15. So does he actually have authority over the FLDS?

    I find this very confusing...

  16. William S Jessop on the bishop's list is Merril Jessop's son.

    ReplyDelete
  17. So Willie the well fed body guard is neither William S or William E Jessop. No wonder there is so much confussion.

  18. From Larry King transcript:

WILLIE JESSOP, F-L-D-S SPOKESMAN, IN COURTROOM TODAY: First, we'll clear it up. I am just a spokesman for the women and children of the YFZ Ranch. And that's all that I am a spokesman for -- and on their behalf.

  19. So does anyone know anything about William R. Jessop. He's the one that is supposed to own a strip club in SD and also has a brother named Tim, who supposely owns a strip club in the Salt Lake area. Is William R. Jessop affiliated with the Pringle compound or is it just a coincidence he owns a business in SD?

    ReplyDelete
  20. Does anyone else know which families live at the compound that may not have been included on the Bishops list? I didn't see Merril Jessop's family listed, or William E. Jessop's family. What about David Allred? Does he live there? If not, does anyone know where he and his family are living?

    ReplyDelete
  21. Only a portion of the Bishop's List was released to the public. That was the part that was revealed during one of the CPS hearings shortly after the children were taken from the YFZ. Since CPS hearings are civil and not criminal procedures, the evidence entered became public. The rest of the Bishop's List, including the part with Merril's family remains sealed as evidence in an ongoing criminal investigation. Stay tuned, this isn't over, not by a long shot.

  22. As I said in my previous post...William "Willie" Jessop the "spokesperson for the FLDS " is GLADE JESSOP'S 2nd son. His Grandfather was Vergel Y. Jessop.

William E. Timpson (sired by A.A.Timpson) Jessop (addopted by Uncle Fred M. Jessop [William E.]is the son of Kathy Jessop {Timpson married to A.A.Timpson...released from him when he turned against U. Roy}...Jessop (married to U. Fred M. Jessop)..daughter of the late Edson P. Jessop ( Edson "eddie" P. Jessop Jr.'s) Father.

So...William E.(Timpson) Jessop is the William Uncle Warren was refering to in his Jail Confession.

William "Willie" Jessop is Uncle Fred's nephew's son.. from is Brother Vergle Y. Jessop.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Was this part of Warren's jailhouse confession ever taken serious, he admitted to immoral behaviour with his sister and a daughter.

Warren Jeffs: Okay. I have this message. The lord has intervened and detected me to myself. He has shown me that I have not held priesthood since I was 20 years old, having been immoral with a sister and a daughter. And father pointing his finger to me was father's test on all of us.

    Turned against Uncle Roy???!!!

What the hell are you talking about? Bro. Timpson NEVER turned against him.

  25. Willie was one of Warrens faithful spies who turned Winston Blackmore in for insubordination to Warren's church take over. Willie was the main thug who stood at the door of the meeting house turning good people away from meetings, funerals and other social activities. Willie was one who enjoyed evicting people from their own homes at the whim of warren. Willies' first statement to the media when contacted in Texas was "do unto others as you would have them do to you." Do you think he learned his lessons?

  26. Willies Jessop wifes are Kristina and Cynthia.

    That explains a lot.

  31. I had to chuckle a little after reading the dossiers of several FLDS people in the news this morning.

    William Roy Jessop
AKA "Willie the Thug" or "King Willie"

    ReplyDelete
  32. The story leads to even more confusion about the two different Willie Jessops. The photo shows Willie the spokesman as Willie R. Jessop, and another guy whose supposedly been the bishop as Willie E. Jessop. Which Willie is which? I thought Willie E. Jessop was the spokesperson whose been all over the news.

    ReplyDelete
  33. No Willie R is the spokesman.
The FDLS should make a proclamation that no Jessop can named their child William for a few generations, I think there are at least 12 now. All though William E is really a Timpson

    ReplyDelete
  34. So, does Willie R. Jessop (the spokeperson for the FLDS) own a strip club in SD called "Shotgun Willies" as previously mentioned on this blog?

Does Willie R. Jessop's family live in Caanan Gap or is that where Willie E.'s family lives?

    ReplyDelete
  35. Use 411 search. my search came up with 22 william Jessops in the USA and not all in Texas / Utah

    ReplyDelete
  36. Willie the Thug claimed that the fLDS would not be having anymore underage "marriages".

He never said there would be no more underage rapes..

  37. In Eldorado TX with a population of only 1800 there are nine registered sex offenders, seven of those involved sex with chilren. None of these offeners live at YFZ. Whose children are safe?

    ReplyDelete
  38. Yep 7:47 but, the whole town did not encourage the offenders or look the other way -- these are CONVICTED sex offenders under the close eye of their probation officers. FLDS is a town that encourages these offenses while at the same time looking the other way. Women in the FLDS are absolutely powerless to complain. That's the difference.

    ReplyDelete
  39. So, 7:47, you seem to have a low opinion of registered sex offenders. You know, Warren Jeffs is one of those, too. How does it feel to follow a prophet who is a convicted sex offender?

Besides, registered sex offenders have been caught and convicted as 11:59 stated. Now the perverts at the YFZ have been caught, too. And, soon, very very soon, they will be convicted. Then, they can be registered sex offenders also, provided they live long enough to serve out their sentences in Huntsville.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Well I am not FLDS as you seem to imply. So if they charge three from YFZ they will be near equal per-capta to Eldoado. So far they have none and only one possibly pending. If they do find any I hope it is Jeffs. I am not saying it is all good there, I also don't like to see all painted with one brush. They are mostly good people.

    ReplyDelete
  41. As someone said a few months back, with all the "cross pollinating" going on, it's easy to get the names confused when there are only 3 or 4 last names in the whole group. I'd love to see a flow chart [family tree] also, of this group.
    Curious

    ReplyDelete
  42. 9:40
Although it may seem there are only 3or4 last names their are many more that are smaller family groups. but yes it is confussing.
A flow chart like that would fill a few books. We did one for our family in the early 90's going back to a my great-great grandfather, we practice monogamy and there came about 500 names in 6 generations. Can you imagine how many desendents one man could have if he had 3 or more wife's that each had 12 children.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Are all the Jessop boys/men who were at the ranch sons of Merril? I know this Willie/Spokesman isn't, but supposedly he wasn't at the ranch anyway, he just showed up after Merril ran for the hills.

    ReplyDelete
  44. My great-great grandfather was a polygamist. He had seven wives and has 44,000 descendents. Check out this news story about a recent family reunion with a turnout of 1200 people:

  46. Willie Jessop would be the perfect spokesman for those people. He left the flds when he was a young adult and was quite involved in a number of things including guns, drugs, women and lots of money. He bragged that he brought the "most money of anyone" back to the church when he finally came back after five years gone. He had an "in" with law enforcement which included a vehicle with hidden police lights and two way communications with the police forces of a couple of departments besides the locals. He also carried a restricted weapon, whether he was lisenced for it or not I don't know but he carried it anyway. He loved guns, dealt in unregistered guns and had a personal vault with hundreds of guns in it.

He was a carefully groomed snitch for the flds and would turn in his mother. He was mostly responsible for the happenings of Uncle Fred and Allan Steed, presented an 18 page letter of complaints against Winston, and finally turned in his best friend and buddy Sam Roundy. He travelled with recording wire equipment and baited people into making statements against Warren. He just fit the bill for Warren because he was dishonest and deceitful, merciless and aspiring. Yes, the perfect person to represent the flds and all that it stands for.

    ReplyDelete
  47. First hand, yes he does love guns.Lets make sure we are yearning for justice and not YFZ!

    ReplyDelete
  48. What ever happend to the people left behind in Hilldale/CC? I had read that things had gotten even harder [$$ wise] when Warren, closed and/or moved businesses and families out of town? [I hope I have my facts straight.]I just wonered how they were fairing, since we seem to concentrate on Texas in the blogs.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Until the events in Texas many of the left behind did not even know about the temple. They would never talk about it or even believe that it existed. They thought that the shorts and tee shirt and lady in pants was all done by the media with trick photography to try and diminish warren. Many old faithfuls are still there weeding in the gardens, scraping up some money to send to the bishop so that he can go on a party, or bowling, or to the movies.(all of which they are forbidden to do so that they won't see lyle there) It really is quite sad. Then there is old Alv Barlow, tired and pugilistic, trumping the cause of new training whilst living with half a dozen other mens wives, nodding in the satisfaction of his church sanctioned adultery while his brethren spend the remainder of their days single, lonely, fasting and praying. Compared to him they are the winners.

To drive down the streets makes you shiver to think that so many could fall for the "new training" that wasn't new at all. It is as old as the first apostates of the Mormon faith.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Interesting 10:38. You mentioned Lyle and I assume you are referring to Lyle Jeffs. Is he living in CC/Hildale? What is his role at this point?

    ReplyDelete
  51. anonymous 6/16 10:38.
your post is elegant, save for one point; this "new training" began when the first long forgotten man, somewhere in the distant past began to tell others that they were incapable of thinking for themselves and were "unworthy to approach god in there own behalf, and needed a priest to do it for them". "this is the truth, and all who don't like it must lump it".

    ReplyDelete
  52. I have talked to several flds men now, and they all seem to be of the same opinion. Willie's statement for the church only applied to the church, not the priesthood. For it to be completely believable that underage marriages will stop among the flds people, it needs to include both the church and priesthood, as the flds view them as separate. If they did not view the church and priesthood as separate, they could claim no authority.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Why are the FLDS willing to flirt with disaster when it comes to CPS and underaged marriages? If this is true, their deception will catch up with them.

    ReplyDelete
  54. They still do and always will consider themselves ABOVE the law. The only One who will have the final say to the FLDS will be the same that will judge us all.

I do feel sad that such nice people have let themselves go so far astray in the name of fallen and false prophets.

Here is the girl who supposedly needed protection from Willie:

    Subject: Re:

Natalie, quit all your lying about everything. You need to realize that I have a mind of my own and I can do things on my own if I choose to. I just want you to realize that I am not putting up with you any longer when you are acting this way and trying to make your name so great, saying to the whole world that you are "protecting Warren Jeffs' daughter". That is nothing great to do because I live in a happy family and I have been happy all my life until you and CPS have been so bothersome and nosy! Let me live a free life.
I want you to quit telling the whole world that Willie is making me do all this. Last I knew, he had gone to salt lake and I have had nothing to do with him in the last while. It was my own dear choice and idea to write to the judge and ask for a new lawyer. I wrote it myself and I took the time out of my day to do it. Quit blaming it all on someone else when you have absolutely no proof. No one can change my mind, not even Willie! But, I feel this way about you and I am hoping that you will be kind enough to leave me alone. It feels like you are trying to restrict me from every person in my life that I want to talk to or have anything to do with and you want to be the decider of what I do and who I have to do with.
Oh, Natalie, please don't make this case harder. Shut your mouth up and quit calling me a victim of sexual abuse. I am so sick of being called that when I am absolutely not a victim of sexual abuse and you have no evidence to prove that I have ever had sexual relations. The most help you will be to me now is for you to step aside and let me get a different lawyer that I feel like can help me. Don't feel bad and try to fight so hard to make yourself look like your doing your JOB, so everyone can praise YOU! Thank you.

Now, don't jump to conclusions again, thinking that Willie told me to talk to you like this or told me to stay away from my subpoena. It is my own dear feelings and doings. Right now I am just at home, sitting on my bed. Does it sound like I have dissappeared? To tell you the truth, I havn't tried very hard at all to dodge this subpoena. Of course I am not just going to go running for it! I know how to think for myself, if you can believe it! This is how I feel and I just thought I would let you know.

  58. Pligchild, it sounds to me like you should go watch a movie. Watch the Godfather! Bet you that warren watched it, and willie too. Watch all three of them and you will see the regime, though warren never shot the boys but he may as well have. He ruined their lives forever.

    T. Jeffs said willie went to Salt Lake and he did. He is already bragging about how he laid it on the line with Bruce Wisan. Where does willie get off? He raped and pillaged the UEP and now is a negotiator for the flds over the UEP! Hell, elephants can fly!

  60. It is increasingly obvious that Attorney Natalie Malonis only claim to fame is the FLDS news. In 20 pages of google links there is nothing else. I was looking for some profile and case experience or other information on her and couldn't find anything but stories, comments, and interviews related to this case. She's been as outspoken to the press as anyone else, including Willie Jessop and Rod Parker. It appears that she is using this media spotlight to get her own ticket to fame punched.

She is obviously in the CPS / Walther corner, and determined to help them make a criminal case, and get her name in the news, in spite of all the evidence and no matter what her "client" wants, she is working for Texas. Can anyone shed any other light on her legal profile?

What his wives think of him might be more interesting.

We know how Nat Malonis see's him!

Maybe Rodney Parker or Warren Jeffs opinion would be more interesting.

  68. In an article by Martha Barlow Jessop, when one reads between the lines, one realizes that some of what Flora says is the absolute truth. Aunt Martha explains how she seemed to be a happy healthy child untill about 10 when she started acting out, needing attention. signs something went wrong in her life about then. (http://www.truthwillprevail.org/index.php?parentid=1&index=45)
When you read how Teresa Jeffs climbs a tree when she feels noone is noticing her...wow who interferred with this child.
Even if the girl feels it was her choice to be spiritually married at a young age, she still isn't emotionally ready.

It was an interesting read, filled with half truths. Martha did not have custody of Flora, Fred Jessop did! It was Lydia who took care of Flora not Martha, see how old age taints the memory. Its public record on who had custody.

The Truth will prevail and there are issues with Teresa that will be revealed in time.

I noticed here alot of postings from an ex FLDS fellow, who married a Steed girl who was under age? I'd love to hear his side of why he was ousted! I heard it was an adult bookstore and pornography, but like Marth's story on the FLDS web site, hearing several versions offer a better view of what might be true.
