Party at Cottonwood Park

Who on the blog was at the Easter party on Saturday? I was so thrilled to see so many people coming together. I saw people with many different "looks" and lives coming back to their roots and moving toward having a community again. Who organized it. It was awesome, with tons of food, games for the kids and reuniting with old friends.I also saw some guys shooting photos? Were you there Jax? Keep the positive stuff coming

  9. It is not ex-creekers its the Re-Creekers! We had a blast!!! There were tons of people there, and I dont think a one of them was followers of Warren. But if they wanted to come they would be welcome. They have not broke out of their shell yet, but hang on cuz it is comming!

  11. I just happened to be in town to visit relatives. When I saw the party at the park, I just dropped by. I was really happy I did. My FLDS relatives, however, changed the subject when I told them about it.

  21. Our day was long,long a go,duff.

  22. Not THAT long ago, because I remember the 24th being the biggest holiday, too, until Uncle Rulon invented Harvest Fest. Then that was the biggest holiday, because it lasted for three days.

  23. BB,You are young enough to be my granddaughter,I meant that Duff's and my day was long, long ago.1930s-1980s.

  24. Ye, I know. But it didn't change much between then and the '90's. And I can remember as far back as 1983.

  25. ya, BB, I moved to the crick in feb. 1945, I got my graduation papers in aug. 1983, was out by sept.30.same year.
by the way, the academy always sponsored a harvest ball every fall after spud harvest.I guess your harvest fest was something different.

  31. the zoo is open...The animals in it are from people around the area...the new rule is, if you bring the animal in to display it, then you get to take care of it as well...pretty easy huh

  33. I was looking out my front door yesterday when I noticed a small truck with a dog that took up the WHOLE back of the truck (it was a St Bernard). Late at night I can hear dogs barking all around me now. Who gave the order? or are the people just so tired of being wound up so tight they can't move.

  34. so... with this thread, are we suggesting that perhaps the crick has gone to the dogs?(:>
