News from South Dakota

I saw this link on the Nevada Polygamy site and thought it may have some interest here as well. If you click on the title of the thread you can read the story and see the video of the compound there. I have family that is scattered somewhere within warren's kingdom. Any news bits can possibly help to locate them. They have chosen to cut off ties with me and I do not wish to force myself on them. At the same time knowing where they are and that they are OK is some comfort. I am sure there are hundreds who feel as I do. Somewhere in one of the posts here an anonymous poster stated that David Allred had property in Alabama. They were unable to add any details as to exact location or were unwilling to do so. If anyone can add any info on this please post it here as well.

  1. The watchtower with the hooded individuals was kinda creepy wasn't it.

Kinda makes you want to go GI Jane in there and have an undercover adventure - I know I do. I'll pack my prairie dress and we can go undercover : )

  2. What's really frightening is that the SD property is so far away from the highway, let alone the nearest town.

  3. Pick me up on your way north! :)

  4. Scary isn't the right word for that guard tower. It is creepy! I live in the Pringle area and I went up for a look at it. They can see people coming for a very long ways. Makes you wonder what they are hiding, wanting to keep in or wanting to keep out.

  5. Theoretically - is it possible to get to the property without being seen?

  6. cuz fttc and I need a plan : )

  7. There are a couple of shots in the video that look like the camera is very close to the buildings. Are they actually that close to the border are did the reporters go inside?

  8. What is creepy is that FTTC and Atari want to take away people's rights to live as they have the right to live. What is creepy is that they want to spy on people that just want to live their religion and be left alone. Maybe someone should "creep" up on you and spy on your "criminal religious activities". Grow up.

  9. Has anyone seen or heard from Laurene Jessop? Her brothers and friends have been trying to find her. She dropped out of sight two months along with the children.

Why don't the FLDS leave those that have chosen to leave the religion alone. It is tit for tat. "Ye shall reap what you sow"

Now, the FLDS may talk about "us apostates" going around spying on them, but while I may associate with people that I know that do that, I have not been involved in this type of conduct.

Isn't it indecent for FLDS grown married men to be spying on my wife and child for 3 hour shifts at a time while I am at work? Don't grown married men have anything better to do than park off the side of a main street and watch a man's wife and child play in a sandbox or plant a few pansies?

  12. Anon 12:29 -

It's not creepy that Atari and FTTC are concerned about the people living in SD. Being so far away from the road, how can the public be sure that children, women and young men can leave this compound if they decide they don't want to live there?

How do you expect the public to feel when we know there is a "watchtower" that may not only prevent people from coming inside the compound, but from leaving as well?

  13. Admin...since OTS is not posting anymore, can you turn off the comment moderation? I think people are getting bored as it is. (p.s. notice that OTS's not posting coincided with Val's and Lawrene's disappearance.....interesting.)

Pray tell how being concerned for my relates is taking away anyone's rights? I am honestly concerned for their welfare. When it is obvious that the leaders are willing to fleece the people as warren has done. (I know several family members in hte FLDS that are barely able to put food on the table while warren is driving around in Escalades and attending amusement parks.) I have seen the blindness of his followers. They will sacrifice anything for him. That concerns me. I have no intention of forcing myself on anyone. At the same time I want make sure I available when they come to their senses. They will need all the help they can get. BTW, lighten up! No one is going to come 'creeping' up on you.

  15. amusement parks..... haven't heard that.... pray tell yourself! I would love to hear it.

I tend to agree with anon. This blog is getting very boring. We need someone to say something outrageous so we'll have something to talk about.

  17. There were ticket receipts found in the escalade for amusement parks in California and Florida. Seems warren was needing something for the stress he was under in hiding? Or maybe he was just bored and thought no one would look for him there anyway. I'm sure he didn't participate in such wicked frivolties ;-).

  18. The last thing I heard about Laurene Jessop was she had moved back in with Val. Wasn't he also kicked out? I can't keep up. Can some1 fill me in?

  20. Joseph are you still out there somewhere?

    Are you OK?

  21. Ya. I'm here. There's just nothing new to talk about, and nothing to say.

  22. Laurene Jessop moved back with Val, now she has mysteriously dissappeared along with the children. We can only hope that Val did not harm Laurene, all he really wanted were the children.

  23. I told you all that things would dry up here if Fundy ever quit. COME BACK FUNDY! ALL IS FORGIVEN!

    ReplyDelete
  24. TBM dont!

You and mugs were the only ones here that conversed with Fundy. I am sure he/she is a wonderful person in real life but on here they were atrocious. It was seldom the FLDS that he was discussing. If you tempt him/her back you had better start your own thread. Come to think of it their insistence on not having a seperate thread was part of the annoyance. Now if we could get Ann N back or some other real FLDS (that omits Street) it would liven things up in the right direction. I would love to know how the faithful are compromising to accept all that has taken place in the past several months

  25. I'm sending someone down to CC, I might come as well - are you ready?

  26. Well, TBM Fundy had his own blog.

    Go visit him there.

  27. Anything to the rumor that Merril Jessop was booted?

    ReplyDelete
  28. Where did you hear that, Anon 3:26?

    ReplyDelete
  29. Like I said before, nothing would surprise me anymore, but if Merrill really did get booted, then I would definetely look twice at Warren being in jail, and someone taking over the reins.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Atar, did you find somenone wanting to convert? Why are you sending them that way? Too bad I won't be there to meet you if you are coming. :( If I were there I could buy a disguise and we could practice. ;-)

  31. No, It's an educational thing, purely a drive through sort of situation.

LOL, fttc, if/when I do go, I will contact you - I'd need someone to explain it all to me, be my tour guide - and yeah, I'd wear a prarie dress for that - although I think I'd still stick out. Might be fun for people to try and figure out who I am - see if I get a code 68 at the market.

Any Amish people ever come through town? I wonder how that goes?

  32. Am I being dumb? How do you post a new thread on this blog?

People might post more new threads if it was a little more obvious
