Sunday morning Paul Holms' house (Joe Knudson's old house) caught on fire, I assume from a plugged chimney. Within hours, they had framing crews, dumpsters, manlifts, forklifts and work crews over framing it back together. It is all closed in by Monday and they redid the entire roof by moonlight Monday night.
Out of the 12 empty houses abandoned by the FLDS, one is a 20 bed/20 bath house in Hildale and one of simular size in CC. What do you think about that?

John Nielson (Jeffs) moved out of town with 7+ wives and family and his Nielson Door business building is for sale. Reliance Lighting Building for sale too! First ever Real Estate signs in this town.

The news about Kyle is disturbing. How can this be verified? I cannot find any info about him being killed. Was there an obituary? Where was his funeral held?
Interesting note on the real estate signs. Is there a brokerage handling the transaction, or are they For Sale By Owners (FSBO)? Reliance's website shows their address is 740 N. Pinion St. in Hildale (www.rlights.com). Are the buildings empty or just for sale?
Whats the status of the homes left ababanded?? Are people able to lease them out??

Was this in the newspaper? How can there be a "killing" in the county jail and nobody knows about it? It doesn't matter if the person is from the Creek or not, this would be (should be) news in Washington County!
The rumor about Kyle is just a rumor...I checked with the sherriff. It's NOT true.

The thing that is amazing about Paul Holms house is that it happened on a sunday. And that the entire work crews, dumpsters etc appeared within hours and they seem to like working in freezing dark hours.
Nielson Door is on Hildale City Industrial property and you get a 99 year lease and can get a loan to buy the building.

Amni Barlow married Sherrie Holm - saw her in CC a couple months ago. Actually I see him all the time at the station.
Ezra Steed - I almost think he died, maybe that was his brother. I'll have to ask around.
Nathan Black - Floyd's son, used to work at Benchmark but it is out of business.
Taylor Mackert he left a long time ago, but his mom left just a year or so ago. His dad lives in St. George.
Ivan Black - never married, his dad was kicked out of town this year, I imagine he was living with him.
Jonathan Black - last I heard he was still trying to be a Warrenite. But he is 29 and has not married. I think his name is not even on the list.
Amulek Barlow - he married Csress Holm - I see her at the store every once and a while.
Milo Shapley - I drive past his house every day. He does Stucco and has 6 little girls.
Lamoni Jessop - married one of Ed Holm's girls and he used to work with Milo. Haven't seen him in a long while.
John "Morley" Black - just left a couple weeks ago, never married, has a disease. I think he
would love to hear from you.

I was very close to John Neilson (I guess now Jeffs) and his lovely wife Anne. We all graduated together, and was close friends until he joined the Jeffs group. Several yrs ago I was driving on the freeway in Salt Lake, and he and Anne pulled up alongside me and waived with a big smile that told me that they was glad to see me, and really did care about me, then reality set in and they took and exit and disappeared again.

Warren Jeffs is from Salt Lake. He hated CC and Hildale. He only moved down there in 2000-01 to escape the judgements that were going to happen during the olympics.
When my mom married Jerold Williams, all my brothers and sisters totally got rid of the name Rohbock and now go by Williams, except for legal reasons, when they absolutely have to use it.

When you are in, then you will do anything, absolutely anything that you are told to do, and be happy about it. I even did it for a little bit, when I was still there.

The practice of taking the new spouses name is not fundamental to the Mormon faith. It is a creation of Warren, or perhaps him and his father, but does not have a foundation in Mormonism where families were to be forever. Adoptions did happen, but fanaticism was never a good replacement for simple decency.
Tim, has two wives, and is the biggest hypocrite I have ever seen. I really hate talking about him. He named his first son after my dad, Ron. When Father got kicked out, Tim went and changed Ron's name to James. He screwed Father and I out of a lot of money.
John got kicked out the same time Father did. He is just working, trying to make a life. I see him every once in a while. I don't know how he or father do it, or did it. I would kill anyone that tried to take my wife and baby away from me.
Josh is still out there. As far as I know he is just working his tail off and turning in all of his money to the "Priesthood." I was working for him when I left. He makes a lot of money. He'd be extremely wealthy if he didn't turn all of his money in.
Alicia and Elizabeth were both married to Uncle Rulon. When he died, Alicia married Uncle Leroy, and had two babies with him. Then he got kicked out, and I don't know who she is married to now. I heard that she was married to Warren, but I don't know. Uncle Leroy never got to see the last baby she had. He got kicked out before she had it.
Elizabeth married Isaac after Uncle Rulon died. Her son, Richard Rulon, is the one that was involved in the car accident in Texas. I haven't heard how he is doing lately. I've tried to call and check on him in the hospital, and all I can do is get the nurse to admit that they are there.
I thought i saw in The Spectrum that they were selling deserted homes in CC. Do any of you Wisanites know if that is true and if there is somewhere to look to see which house and how much they are selling them for. It would be very interesting.

I guess you could turn it into a hotel. But how many hotels do they need in that area? Unless they build a new road, it's not even convenient for the national parks.

I think someone should create a bed and breakfast out of one of the huge houses. They could have the polygamy theme throughout, and name the rooms after the wives (aunt betty’s room etc) the menu could have recipes of plural wives. You could have a lot of history on the walls, a mini museum of sorts. Some day that valley will be more mainstream, and the folklore will live on for centuries. I would even consider financing it if I could find a partner who would manage it
i will manage it for you. I would love to do something like that, I just got my credit screwed by Warren. So I could never finance anything.

Warren told me to help my father build a shop for the Jeffs Academy school. Which I did. I maxed four credit cards with limits of 8 to 10 thousand each, and I financed the lumber package in my name. We spent about 150 grand all together, and warren was supposed to be giving father the money to make the payments. Then about three months after we got done, Warren kicked father out and quit making payments. He told me to file for bankruptcy, but I never did. Father couldn't make the payments, and there was no way I could. I was already turning in my whole paycheck. Maybe that's why I never got blessed, is because I never filed for bankruptcy like he told me to.
Timothy holm was married and had a couple children. Last I heard, he got kicked out about three or four months ago.
That is sad to hear about Timothy. He always seemed like one of the most decent of his father's boys. Some of them had a seriously snobbish attitude. Do you know if Mike is still on the inside. I think he was pretty thick in the program.
Do you know where he is living Joseph? I'd like to check in on him.

That is a fantastic idea! It might be good for people visiting Grand Canyon or Zions -- the polygamy theme might encourage them to drive the extra distance. But I suspect it would be too inconvenient for Bryce Canyon.
I'd stay there -- don't know how my wife would feel about it! Not so sure about the "recipes of plural wives" though. Sounds a bit like cannibalism to me ;-)

Joe, I agree with tbm, you should look into a lawsuit.
two points that might help you out: 1. let the lawyers know that there are others with the same situation as you. 2. Check with the credit card companies that you owe. They can help you if they think that they can get paid.

I said, "last I heard." I didn't say I knew for sure. It was one of his own brothers that told me. And it was only a few weeks ago. So don't go getting all mad. I heard that he had two wives, and just recently got kicked out.
Very few of the men that have got kicked out did anything to warrant the punishment they recieved. I think it's just warren's sick way of maintaining control over the people. Pretty soon, the only last names out there will be Jeffs, Steed, and Jessop. He is totally obliterating any other family lines. It's only a matter of time before only those with "pure blood" can reproduce and have a family.
I haven't got any legal advice. I have been in so much pain, and been so broke, it's all I can do to just make rent and feed my wife and baby. Hopefully things will start looking up.

It has been a strange phenomena that when a rumor of a kicking starts around it is often very soon fulfilled or has been already and is just being denied. I don't know Timothy's status. I hope he can hang onto his family whatever that status is. I hope the best for all those still following warren. I just have found it interesting to see how the rumors have largely been true at the time or literally fulfilled soon. Not all by any means but many enough to make it very noticeable.

Why is Val Jessop still so very loyal to Warren? Does he hope to be let back in or is he already back? I know he is still married to Marie and maintains a home in CC, but what about his other home outside? Things don't add up in his case.
When I say "Jessop" i mean Merrill Jessop's family. Or a direct descendent of Merrill's family. He has to let them have what they want, or Merrill will rat him out.
You might wonder what Merrill could possibly hold over Warren? Well let me give you a couple scenarios. Merrill's daughters, at least one that I know of for sure, went to their father and told him that they were having an affair with Warren. That is why she was so happy to get up in General Meeting and proclaim that she had seen in a vision where Warren was supposed to be the prophet, and that she had heard with her own ears when her husband, Rulon, had said that Warren was supposed to be the next prophet. She only did it because she was sleeping with him already. She's the one that was caught with him in Vegas.
Why do you think that Ernest, the one that got kicked out the same time as Allen Steed, just got remarried. Or Fred Jessop, the one that got kicked out last year, got his family back just a few months later.
The reality of it is, Wendell and Merrill have as much power over the people as Warren. Wendell get's what he wants, and Merrill gets what he wants. No questions asked.
I forgot, the Nielsen family name will definetely remain.

Dear Annon - David's "religious" name is Jeffs so all the latest "Allreds" have "Jeffs" on their birth certificates. for instance, the Father's legal name is Allred and the Mother's legal name is Jessop (because they were never "married" by law) and they name the children "Jeffs"
I thought they quit registering the children's births?? And for good reason; it makes it difficult to trace the re/re/marriages taking place. Have you actually seen these birth certificates?

Has anyone seen or heard from Laurene Jessop? Her brothers and friends have been trying to find her. She dropped out of sight two months along with the children.
Interesting that Laurene and her family vanished about the time her oldest daughter turned 18. Val is a sick man, both mentally and pysically, lets hope he has done them no harm.
