FLDS Prophet Warren Jeffs may be serving life in prison, but his followers continue with their work on the YFZ Ranch near Eldorado, Texas where the group's white limestone Temple towers over the town they are building. Polygamy, the practice of plural marriage, appears to be alive and well in the Lone Star State, despite laws to the contrary.

Warren Jeffs has insulted the intelligence of the FLDS.
He has taken very intelligent and influencial men and women and told them - they know nothing. He is threatened by education. Look at who he has taken down. The poor and the uneducated are not a threat...so they follow blindly. More than anything else the FLDS culture is taught to do what it takes to be accepted. I always thought they wanted to do right. But even when WJ teachings go against Jesus. They choose WJ because of the need to be accepted by those they hold in esteem. If they really wanted to be accepted by the world they would make their religion more exciting and tell the world how polygamy is great. After all the more women the better, right?
My little girl happens to ask every person we meet...Do you believe in Warren? And the answer is "He is a very good and righteous man. There is just alot that we don't understand."
My son tells all the people that believe in Warren that he does too...he explained it is because he wants them to like him.

When is Fred's funeral?
Is it going to be a public funeral, or a private family affair like the rest of the funerals have been lately?

I think the death of an elderly man is the wrong place to rant against Warren. There are plenty of other threads for this.
Rumor: is the quote one that Mr. Peine said? Where did it come from? It would make more sense if we knew who said it, and in what context!

What do your children say to you in private?
