It has been four years
Today it has been four years since Nephi Barlow poured the concrete to the floor of his industrial building in Colorado City. It was the biggest single pour in Short Creek until Western Precision came along. Nephi was going to Austria to find the machines and connections to bring jobs and manufacturing to the desolate valley.

Canada Properties In Default?
According to FPinfomart.ca in Canada, there are serious financial problems
occuring in Canada since the split. A 1.22 million dollar parcel in Crambrook
forfeited to the B.C. Government on 12-30-04, followed by a whole series of
financial set backs through 2005.
The report is interesting reading and unnerving in light of interest from those
in financial hardship seeking position and status as new UEP trustee's. The
personal financial dealings that include non payment of taxes, to a point of
forfeit, to over seeing a trust already shakey might just concern the judge,
courts and appointed fiduciary.
So in light of a report in hand, those in Canada, might wish to explain! I suspect
the media will get their hands on this in days, if not already. 1.03 million dollars
are due on October 25th, the very same day Judge Lindberg is supposed to
decide on new trustees.
Seems like these financial set backs were a known factor, prior to and durring the
nominee process. While there is no doubt a genuine interest in the welfare of
many, personal financial troubles could create a conflict of interest, in the sale
and developement of UEP assets. A broader question of temptation at a time
when assets are being taken at a personal level, would fall under far to much
scrutny!

MIB Smoke Free Thread! A 17 year old student, female, wants the male perspective!
An MIB free thread!
A high school student approached me to ask about the polygamy lifestyle,
from the man's perspective. While I have a bias and opinion on everything,
I am not qualified to answer her questions. She is a Senior, 17 and has
chosen polygamy as her subject for a senior project. There are plenty of
opinions by activist, but in being fair, she is not interested in our opinions,
beyond what they represent as one side to a complex subject.
She goes by the handle Cattail and will be coming on to this blog shortly.
I have agreed to stay off of the thread as I only have one wife and don't fit
her requested criteria. She may get her report published and she wants both
sides, so you decide what should be written.

Through Pilot we see the progress being made in Texas. It appears that much of the funds that in the past have been used for building up Short Creek area must be going there (YFZ). How much building is being done still in the Twin Cities?

Also charged are Harvey Joseph Dockstader Jr., 39, of Colorado City, Ariz., and Tim Hunt, age unknown, who is thought to live in Chicago. Each is charged with promoting a pyramid scheme. If convicted, they could face up to two years in jail.

Is Preparation for disaster still important?
For as long as I can remember it was a tenet of our religion to be prepared to feed our families for an extended time without importing any food into the community. I have heard rumors that all the community food stocks have been moved to YFZ. Can anyone verify this? In light of the recent disasters and the constant terrorist threat that exists I wonder if the "lifting up" and "yearning for Zion" has taken precedence to preparation.
Where are they now?
There have been several posters who have asked about individuals and there present whereabouts. Here is a place to post requests so they won't get lost in the dialogue.

The traffic after this obscure editorial in New Zealand, has already bounced back here at home. No doubt controversial, but controversary sales newspapers.
John was a former member of the AUB, while being a Deputy Sheriff for Utah County, a history that makes his perspective interesting to say the least. I know tempers will flare after reading this one......

The Articles of FLDS Faith
The Revised Articles of Faith (or Fear) for the FLDS.
We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and Warren Jeffs and in the Holy Ghost.
We believe that men will be punished for their own sins, and right now is a good time to punish them, not for Adam's transgression.
We believe that through the Atonement of Christ, a few select may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.
We believe that the first principles and ordinances of the Gospel are: first, Faith in the Warren Jeffs; second, NO Repentance; third, Baptism by immersion for the remission of sins; fourth, Laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost.
We believe that a man must be called of God, by prophecy, and by the laying on of hands by those who are in authority, to preach the Gospel and administer in the ordinances thereof. And WJ can give the authority for himself to call him a prophet and then cut off the ones that called him to be a prophet.
We believe in the same organization that existed in the Primitive Church, namely, apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, evangelists, and so forth. We believe it but don't live it.
We believe in the gifts of tongues, prophecy, revelation, visions, healing, interpretation of tongues, and so forth. (but only to the prophet Warren Jeffs)
We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God. (but we don't read them or apply them, we are too busy reading the current prophets revelations)
We believe all that God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and we believe that He will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God. (this is the important one, the destructions are comming, the destructions are comming)
We believe in the literal gathering of Israel and in the restoration of the Ten Tribes; that Zion (the New Jerusalem) will be built upon the American continent; that Christ will reign personally upon the earth; and, that the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal glory. (And it will start in Texas and only the FLDS that are "good" will be lifted up while the destructions happen)
We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may. (so leave us alone)
We believe in being subject to kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law. (We don't believe this anymore)
We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to only the FLDS, we can steal and cheat if it is for the kingdom of GOD; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul -- We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. (this is just another indurance test) If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.
We believe that God has called us to come out of the world, and money is bad, so hand over your donations, so that the prophet can isolate himself from the wickedness of this generation.
