Midwife quits in Hildale Health Clinic

Heard that all of Shirley's patients were sent to find a different Doctore this week. Anyone else have more info?

Did you hear any more than that? Because it could be due to any one of a large number of reasons, from illness to vacation, etc.

Did you hear that all her patients were reassigned permanently or just this week?

And is Martha still practicing there?

it may have something to do with the way she practices her midwifery. she has done some pretty crazy things, ultimatly resulting in at least three baby's deaths that i know of. telling on of my friends that her baby was dead and wanted to start her so she would have the baby. My friend went to see Martha the same day and Martha told her that the baby was fine.

She told my mom that a little drink now and then won't hurt. This is her way of dealing with family problems.

With Truman gone and no one to balance her...I'm sure she is wondering which way is up.

Maybe alcoholism got in the way of a job.

When did the electric gate and wall built around the Hildale clinic?

At least our rumors are public and open to scrutiny from fellow bloggers. Before I got out, I found out that I was being fed holy lies by pious people. My personal experience is that the FLDS holies are better at fabricating holy lies than the apostates are at fabricating lies against the FLDS.

Now, back to the subject.

Who wants a drunk midwife delivering a baby?

Do any of you really know for certain what you are talking about, before you trash this poor womans name?I don't know her or any of you but you all sound so bitter and hard hearted. What's with that? How do your bitter unkind comments make you all feel any better about your selves.Has this woman hurt any of you personally?

I don't think a midwife who encourages women to drink occasionally while preganant, or encourages inducing labor on a 'stillborn' that's still alive and kicking needs any help from these folk for her reputation to be trashed.

Personally, I think it's a step in the right direction to call people out when they misbehave.

The big fence went up a couple of years ago. The keypad locked gate went up about a year or a year and a half ago. But, They did close off a public street and extend the fence so that you can't even look up the hill and see the Hildale clinic anymore and you can't drive past it anymore. That was done about 9 months to a year ago. Best recollection I have.

Sure makes me wonder if Medicaid or State dollars are paying for medical services and baby deliveries then how can they fence the birthing clinic off from the outside world. If they want to close off (fence off) the clinic then the state and federal governments should close down any funding to them. IMHO Shouldn't public dollars mean public access and public health accredidations and inspections?

If they don't want to play by the rules, then don't take public funding to run a PRIVATE clinic.

Alcoholism seems to be a problem with the FLDS young and old, male mostly, but I would not rule out females.

Ruth Stubbs admitted on national TV she was given a minor in possession before she was given to Rodney Holms. I suppose it was alcohol she was talking about.

This community is no different than the outside world. I guess that is why Warren is being so harsh with his judgements.

They just pay by losing their families, jobs and their priesthood.

In the outside world you get fines, jail time and rehab if you are lucky.

Street there always be sin in this "special" community.

Man has a sinful nature.

The prophet will find this out the hard way and so will his family of not so perfect people.

I had Shirley deliver babies for me, and I thought she was awesome! She has had babies of her own, so she knew exactly what I was going through, and she was not only knowledgable, but very compassionate, as well.

How many of you here on this blog have actually had dealings with her? And how many of you have walked in her shoes? I think you should think before you tear someone apart publicly like this. You have no idea what she is suffering at this time. Maybe you could show a little compassion of your own?

Rumor...I know you have been hurt....but have you considered that if you were kind to those who have treated you with suspicion, that they might just change their way of thinking? Things are falling apart around them right now! Maybe the people of CC/Hildale would be willing to turn to "outsiders" for help if they were a little more compassionate to their fellow men.

But when there are those of us that tear others down like that, then you just make Warren's "prophecies" true.

I think we should start a campaign of Christ-like kindness to show them that, in spite of their unkindness toward us, they are our brothers and sisters, and we love them! I really think that would turn the tables! And even if it didn't, we could face Jesus in the last day, and know that we tried!

C'mon! I was one that was kicked out, too! I know how it feels! I am going to give it my very best! Will you stand with me?

Wildthang, your observation is excelent.I knew Shirley, and remember her to be an admirable individual, might we concider the fact that, historicaly,in A totalitarian society, the best people are veary often the first to
be perged.

A thought from Bluebeard.
