FLDS Ex Wife on TV last night

The Ex-FLDS wife on TV last night, she did'nt like it and thought it was slavery. She stayed for eight children and 15 years . You would think that if she really did'nt like it , she would have left before staying 15 years. I think she will moan and groan and then go back to the FLDS, just like about 99.9 % do. Its not that bad for a women at CC.

Carolyn Jessop is no dummy. It takes someone that is super outstanding to be able to walk away with 8 kids, one handicapped and survive for more than a year. I have read her story on the net and I never heard her bash polygamy. She was in a abusinve relationship and I am so proud of her for leaving it. I am shocked that Winston or Warren, or Uncle Fred couldn't (wouldn't) help her.
Like I said, she is NO DUMMY. She wouldn't stay married and have 8 kids with a jerk. He changed.
Please notice, her kids are awesome.

NOT THAT BAD?

Being part of a cult is always hard to break away from, because they teach you to be helpless.

Thinking that security is better than FREEDOM. I'll take freedom anyday.

FLDS is selling something that they can't give. There is no such thing as being part of the FLDS guarantees you the highest salvation.

I am certain the women of polygamy are strong, stronger perhaps than they realize.

On the outside they might be viewed as weak for being submissive. But it takes a heck of a lot of strength to be submissive.

No doubt some have less strength, but I believe it might be just personality.

I think all women have their limit. And for a long time, people have pushed them just far enough, or it's been a slow enough decline that they're senses were not assaulted.

But I think we're at a place that all we need is a tip. One person, who really carries respect, authority, friendship, and has the ear of the people to start a massive change. We'll call it 'the tipping point'.

I think we are at the tipping point - we just need that person, on the inside, and the situation.

All this is not specific to polygamy, her complaints are not unique to the polygamous commumity. They are common complaints of women in all marriages, to pin all these types of problems on the polygamous community is not fair. They are very common complaints among wifes everywhere. And should be handled the same as the others, very simply call the police and quite with the complaining.
Most of the wifes at CC have had a good deal for a long time and now are going to do in a system they have benifited greatly from.

I too, am so proud of Carolyn Jessop for the stand she was courageous enough to take. I know that, that lady requested help which never came, before doing the only thing left for her to do.
Each of us is responsible for the actions and choices we make, and sometimes that means standing alone just to do what we know in our heart is right.
Congratulations Carolyn.
May God be with you and bless you.

can't blame anyone for returning home to CC

Uncle Fred did try to help Carolyn and it caused Warren's ire at Uncle Fred to skyrocket. Things weren't always peaceful between Uncle Fred and Warren.

In many cases it is VERY bad for women in CC. And Carolyn would have probably left many years before she did if she had realized just how abusive her situation was. It took her spending time with "outsiders" in the hospital tending to her disabled boy for her to see that "outsiders" were not evil and that they cared.

That time made her realize how horrible her life in the FLDS with Merril Jessop as her "husband" really was.

Carolyn WOKE UP and made a sensible choice to escape the abuse.

KUDOS to Carolyn. She is a survivor.

Yes, they got on so well that the Church car came and picked up Uncle Fred in the middle of the night in December 2003 and then NOTHING was heard from him or about him until the announcement of his death in Colorado last year.

How can you say that Warren and Uncle Fred got along well if Warren had him removed from Hildale and moved to Denver without telling the brethren, his wives or his children.

Uncle Fred's influence, love by the peopls, and power in the community was a HUGE threat to Warren. Warren saw that and had Uncle Fred "relocated out of site".

If you consider that as Warren and Uncle Fred getting along fine, then we don't have the same definiton of "fine".

STREET’s Reply: Hey, I know them all. I was part of them for DECADES, and still. So I ought to know. They are truly free and happy women, the faithful ones. Of couse, in all societies, if you’re faithless and immoral, and it comes out into the open, shouted from the housetops as the Lord said, then you certainly wouldn’t fit in. You would be kicking and screaming to get out of the spotlight of your own shame, wouldn’t you. Of course you would. It’s just natural to want to fit in, and if you have skeletons tumbling out of your closet, that desire goes out the window.

Luke 8:17 - For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither [any thing] hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.

I Tim. 5: 25 - Likewise also the good works [of some] are manifest beforehand; and they that are otherwise cannot be hid.

Luke 12:2 - "There is nothing concealed that will not be revealed, nor secret that will not be known.

It’s not a matter of choosing between freedom and security. They go hand in hand, if the truth of your own religious upbringing is in you, and makes you free. Then, you are also very secure, physically, mentally, economically, socially, and spiritually.

You are so right that “being part of the FLDS does not guarantee the highest heaven”. It takes far more that just warming the seats, as the FLDS prophets say. Well put, peaches. Just don’t dwown in the kreem.

STREET’s Reply: You sound like the Devil. That is how he plots and maneuvers. The Lord said it best: “The very elect, if possible, will be deceived”. If it’s not possible, due to the continuous watch and revelation within, and the obedience without, then it is just that: NOT POSSIBLE. In that case, might you well attempt to blow out the Sun, for God WILL HAVE A PREPARED PEOPLE.

STREET's Reply: There you have it, BOLD-FACED. I've known them both all my life, many decades, and they are like peaches and kweem. No two on the earth are closer, or more in love. Uncle Fred and Uncle Warren ARE very close, and NOTHING will divide them. He even followed Warren out of his lifelong haven and service of love, into the wilderness. They are that close, to this day.

But, the world need LIARS for the trial of everyone's faith.

STREET’s Reply: Ahh, see!!! The women don’t know, there is no knowledge, until they partake of the forbidden fruit. Then, and only then, do they become aware of their nakedness and guilt, for then and only then do they become naked and guilty, see? Just like Eden in the beginning. Then do they fall, and are cast out of Paradise. Yes, Carolyn WOKE UP, for the Devil made her “wise”, you see. Very very wise to her own stupidity.

Hey, I’m just reading the first chapter of Genesis. That’s where it all started, and from whence it all continues, down to this very day. All that is left for her now, and for all people, is to repent from afar. Otherwise, KUDOS TO WHAT??? The Lord said it best: In the end, the deceptions will be so strong, “who will be able to stand”? You only survive to suffer the final scene of God’s wrath, which is now sweeping this nation. Yet how so: “My coming will be like the rising of the sun”, so gradual that it will not be recognized as my coming.

STREET’s Reply: How can you say that a newlywed couple get along well if the husband “removes” the wife from the city, and takes her to a country resort? HOW CRUEL. CALL THE FBI!!! Uncle Warren was not protecting anything in CC, if he public declared: “This people is not worthy of a prophet”, and left the city himself. He merely took his beloved with him, to one of his secluded resorts, for safety and repose from all the crime taking place, and about to take place in that place. You’re right about one thing: “We don't have the same definiton of "fine".

More on Uncle Fred and Warren. Uncle Fred's renegade grandson was visiting with him, and Uncle Fred got a call that Warren was coming for a visit. He told this "apostate" that he had better go now because Warren was coming over, and then replied "but I would rather visit with you than Warren."

Anonymous said...

What tactics did Warren use to take complete control, of your money, your property, your children, your families, your very llives. If you read the four gospels I believe that you will see a vast difference in the ministry of Jesus when contrasted to the control of Warren. Warren has demonstrated no sembalance of God's Love. He is a fraud. When betrayed by Judas, Jesus went to the cross loving those who were instrumental in His death. Warren just runs and hides, and runs and hides. Jesus disapearance from the midst of a crowd was a supernatural event because his "time" had not yet come. Warren's requires millions of YOUR dollars, armed guards and a fleet of vehicles in which to escape, he is NEVER seen in a crowd.

Why does this charade continue? Because those who provide the money and cover are convinced that their salvation is tied to Warren's.

In reading this blog, I am seeing more and more who were cast out coming to their senses, now, if they join hands in a common purpose, to rid their culture of the vulture who feeds on their livlihood they can return to as normal a life as they are able to live sans Warren Jeffs. An able writer needs to write a chronicle of the events that has led FLDS to it's present state, preserve it as history, so that at least the future will be more aware of a despot rising to power. The book of Mormon, the Bible, the D&C the Pearl are all considered of great importance. Why would this experience prove of great value to the future generations of those who desire to live your lifestyle?

I often get miffed at the garbage that On The Street spews out and I REALLY try to just ignore his rantings and nonscense.

I do not want to reply to his gibbish because I fear that it will just add fuel to his fire.

But I MUST now say that On The Street is trying to brainwash the faithful followers in the Creek just like Warren.

On The Street just spews out nonscense and scripture. His postings make no sense at all. He belittles and berates the faithful followers who are trying to make sense of what is going on in their communityl

The followers need to start thinking for themselves and realizing that Warren is a false prophet who has led them down a dangerous path.

Don't listen to the false prophet. You know in your heart what is right and what is wrong.

Pay your property taxes. Do what you need to to stay in your homes.

Don't let Warren's selfish and greedy actions cause you to lose your home.

Protect yourselves and your family because NO ONE else will.

You have to do this, Warren won't?

That is obvious because he has deserted you and the Crik.

Save yourselves!

ots is not trying to brainwash anyone. He just wants to get under your skin enough to get you to reply. That's how he gets his jollies. He's not out to defend anyone or anything. He wants you to think so, so that you will reply. It makes his feel special. He probably doesn't get much human iteraction otherwise.

Jesus disapearance from the midst of a crowd was a supernatural event because his "time" had not yet come (and neither has Warren’s time come, and his disappearance is also quite supernatural, for it is far from natural, as you have so thoroughly confessed). Warren's requires millions of YOUR dollars, armed guards and a fleet of vehicles in which to escape, he is NEVER seen in a crowd (Ahh, never seen in a crowd, yet he is ALWAYS in a crowd of people. In the last days, they shall call good evil, and black white, and never always, and truth error).

Why does this charade continue? Because those who provide the money and cover are convinced that their salvation is tied to Warren's (which, of course, it is).

In reading this blog, I am seeing more and more who were cast out coming to their senses, now, if they join hands in a common purpose, to rid their culture of the vulture who feeds on their livlihood they can return to as normal a life as they are able to live sans Warren Jeffs (see, I rcn can’t stand to see such beauty and support, so I must brand it as a vulture). An able writer needs to write a chronicle of the events that has led FLDS to it's present state, preserve it as history, so that at least the future will be more aware of a despot rising to power (Ahh, but we have our Warren-ing, and you have your Bush-whack, both doing God’s work as God’s ministers).

STREET’s Reply: There it is, the confession that NO ONE (emphasis yours) will protect you, and therefore that you do NOT have God in your life to protect, but instead “YOU have to do this yourself”, as you put it. Warren won’t, God won’t, and since only God saves, “save yourselves” as you fall, and you will see that your puny arm did not save you.
