Hildale Town Meeting

with Bruce Wisan. Anyone interested in the UEP should show support by showing up. I understand that Mr. Wisan will be doing a press release Wednesday. This is going to be interesting.

I hear that Mayor David Zitting takes down names of whoever shows up, for the official record. (KGB style). Since most of those who care about the UEP are not in...the information they gather is not relivant.

rumor:
Protocol suggests that the minutes include the meeting attendees. Every govnmt meeting across the US does the same thing.

Ok! I have never been to a government meeting that did that. I have been to a few in Kanab and Page, they never did it.

Please forgive! Sometimes I wonder if they play by their own rules or the "real" rules.

rumor:
The open forum meetings I have been too did not record all of the attendees. Where I live it would be unmanagable with over 500 people showing up when hot topics are discussed. The recorded attendees are limited to the council memebers and anyone on the agenda.

Maybe its small town'itis. They probably don't think you have any business being there unless you are invited, and whoever shows up gets recorded in the minutes, even if they are just watching and listening to the proceedings.

There is nothing in the Open Meetings Law that prevents a public body from keeping a list of attendees or going around asking people their names.

If you refuse to give your name, however, they have no legal right to toss you out.

They can limit your participation to "public hearing" portions of the meeting, and the "public participation" portion, which can be either at the beginning or the end. During the public participation portion, they can ask you questions about what you have to say, but cannot discuss it among themselves or take an action on it other than to place it on a future agenda.

Well, I am sure none of the Colorado City Council members will show up; the reception they gave Bruce was horrid. Mayor Johnson's act of cutting Bruce short and telling him "we have been more than fair with your time" sure will get me to never consider voting for him.

How does a town go thru Mayors like this? Do they have to vote in a new one each time or can the city council put one in until it can be voted on?

Terrel Johnson as Mayor. What a laugh, he has bever been able to run a business with a profit, how could be run a town? Don't get me wrong, I just think that a Mayor should be a people person and give answers. Not just give questions.

and are you up to he job? With your hidden critazism on a web page, are you willing to take the job? It is real easy to judge a person when you are sitting on the side lines critazising. Have you read the paper yet? Maybe with your great wisdom you could come up with a great solution for world peace. What? enjoy your war then. since i am believing it has gone to far to think that there will be peace, i must then prepare for war. If i am one chosen to die in this war; at least i lived by my convitions. I flew the american flag all my life and loved my God. I have forgiven all men of there trespasses and have no bitter cup to take with me into the next life.
enjoy

I actually think that there are better men and women to take the job. I am thinking it would be great to get a women mayor! Times are changing.

well you certainly haven't been living in the Crik because election DON'T happen. Someone throws their hat in the ring - usually someone who has held this position for many years - and there is NO OPPONENT. Then election day roles around and VERY FEW people show up to vote - because what would it matter? the winner is already chosen being the only one running.

so then that person wins the election.

That is democracy in Colordo City.

I would have thought the city council would have listened to Bruce. After all, he controls most of the property in the city. The city fathers may not accept it, but it is a fact.

and in st. george, they pass out papers and have the ones picked they want looked at, and make a mock. so laugh. and Bruce Wisen in control? I can tell a lot of people do not live in the creek. but what ever. and since i am not interested in running for mayor, nor do i vote i shall not critazise the one who you all pick apart for doing what you do not. And since he was voted in, with very little resistance as you have insinuated and i really do not know, since i do not go to any elections in this country since they voted clinton in, then i would assume since you was not there with your name in the hat, that you obvously was not voted in so i shall not speak evil of the one who had what it took to put his name upon the book and get kicked by Bruce Wisen and you, i shall refrain from further comment. because if Clinton can be voted in, voting has lost its sensability. and who cares if sesibility is around any more with People Like Bruce Wisen and Gary Engles around. And just think, Lanore was there to give them a good run for there money. enjoy.

and if they voted in a woman, i would simply never set foot in the city building, but since i do not any how, lets give three cheers to the man who had the courage to tackle the tough job of being a man in a world where people think glory is in woman ruling. too many pance any how. men, woman. and where did our pioneers go. With there hero's? fires, soap, and wagon wheels, where a man could live free?

this is what you call a friendly conversation in Colorado City

do you suppose we are in Colorado City. This is a public web page from Texas. No True fundamental mormon would be on a web page like this; no matter who did what to them. it is not written in the book, nor is it justified; contention for any matter. God is the giver and the taker of all blessings. Who do you love the most? God or your stuff, and all children born are Gods children. and generally i would never get in to Political things. I do not want to. The elections are rigged any how. And i can not change it. And there was no amnosity. I think i grew up reading fairy tale books of liberty in America. That is all. It would be nice to go back to the days when there was hero's. that is all. people are too rich now to enjoy the finer things in life. And there is no freedom in america. Only the freedom to follow bondage. have you ever read the appendages to law? It would astound you the laws. I read a book on laws that are in the books but no one uses. And it is astounding that the law is basicly who pays the most, and knows where to look; and puts on the fancyiest show. I guess i am old fashioned. I think if a man does an evil thing, he is guilty and it is not a matter of who can put on the greatest act. Just stalk it up to an old fashioned excentric woman. no big deal. I guess now days i would be in style if i wore high heals, had a fight with my boy freind every other night and worked with a paying job. Put my children in day care, and had to have every thing my neighbors had; watched my neighbors over the fence to see if i could find a way to sue them, so i could keep up with the joneses, all the while watching to make sure that they did not get the upper hand to sue me. I do not know? maybe every one in america does not live this way. I know the street people did not. they lived in riches from the trash of the working men, who was dissatisfied with what they purchased. Please do not compare me to the good Citazins in Colorado City. I suppose none of them have lived like me. And like i said, A fundamental mormon is one who lives as Joseph taught. And they would not be contending in any manner with there fellow men.

A FUNDAMENTALIST Mormon lives what Joesph Smith taught...so there is maybe ONE ot TWO in the whole Crik.

Joesph taught the word of wisdom, which most in the Crik are the exception to the rules.

Two: he taught true principles so the people could govern themselves.

If they live what Joseph Smith taught then they would live the 10 commandments too. Only they have exceptions to those too.

Joseph Smith said "Come and Reason with me." I would say that this blog fulfills that purpose.

Reply to:

STREET’s Reply: You say “elections don’t take place”. Well, you always seem to forget that CC is not a democracy, but a theocracy, and that is what the government hates and wants to change. They hate the idea of Vox Dei, Vox Populi: The voice of God is the voice of the people.

How intersting that you admit that CC is a theoracy instead of a democracy.

demigod, as street would have us believe. A little less than WJ, who to street is god.

demigod--a offspring of a human and god.

demagogue--a snake oil salesman.

Since street likes to twist words, lets give it back to him.

OTS says Demo=demon... hahaha! Look at the etymology of the word from the ancient Greek. Demo comes from 'demos' (people/the many) and 'kratos' (rule/power).

Everything in the world is not the devil. God gave you a brain so why don't you use it?
