YFZ finally gets fined

The Eldorado Success reports this week that the TCEQ has finally handed down its first fines against the YFZ. Hallelujah!!

And there is another story about the UCRA gearing up to fight the sewer plant on Milligan Draw. Finally some good news!

It was in their print edition and should be on the website today.

Check it out here: http://www.myeldorado.net/YFZ%20Pages/YFZMenu.html

Why don't they post it earlier? Their paper comes out on thursday.

$18,000!? Is that all? I can't believe the state of Texas is letting them off so easy! What's the deal?

I would have thought TCEQ would have levied a higher fine. But then again, they took forever to act, why should we expect them to do anything different?

I doubt if there is anything TCEQ can do to stop things now. Too much has already been built, too many people have already moved in.

Makes no difference what we think, this whole situation is bound to stink.

Hey, aren't you (Texans) the guys that created Enron? Those Texan's stole billions from investor's and they haven't even been fined yet.

Let the system work. If they pay the fine and comply no big deal, if not, tell them they can't go to the bathroom any more.

Seriously, let the laws of civil proceedure work and let the bull shit of bigotry confine itself to the back yard barbeque . . .

Nope, Enron was a Wall Street invention. And, it was mostly Texans, ie the folks down here who worked for Enron and lost their life savings in its retirement plan, who got burned. By the way, one of those Enron victims is a neighbor to the YFZ Ranch, you know... the folks who said they were only interested in putting in a corporate hunting retreat. Now he's been lied to by Ken Lay and Warren Jeffs.
Same guy, by the way, that the YFZ wants to dump its sewage on. Sound fair to you?

Nope doesn't sound fair to me. But what about life is fair. YFZ will either comply and pay up, compromise until they get something like what they want. They might even pull up stakes and go to Colorado if things get too tough. I would imagine them even tearing down that temple and hauling it piece by piece inorder to re-construct up there. As to the friend who's about to get crapped on, sounds to me like the law is on his side so far. If it was me I'd be over to the TCEQ office every chance I got, giving them access to the parts of his land closest to the YFZ. Anything that will make it easier to put more pressure on YFZ. Those plygs are tough customers and have put up with this type of thing for years in Arizona. They'll beat around the bush, delay payment, change plans, feign ignorance, and anything they can until they do just what they claim not to do, and compromise a situation that will work. Though I will bet it will be to their benefit rather than those around them. Anyone that believes he's virtually God on the Earth also believes he owns the earth. I know I'm rambling, but this "prophet" just isn't anything like I remember 20 years ago when I was a devout member, and life was actually liveable under the FLDS principles. That and I didn't have to worry about living with more than one woman.
