Spelling and Pronunciation Guide

FYI to you folks from Short Creek ( I understand you pronounce it crick) Eldorado is a single word with no space between the "L" and "D" and is pronounced EL-DOE-RAY-DOE. Schleicher County is pronounced SHLY-KUR. Just a couple of things you ought to learn if you're going to take over, provided that you're still around after April 6.

Why are you up at 1:30 in the morning?

Thanks for the Eldorado grammar check.

I did get tired of reading El Dorado.

These people that can't spell must not be reading all the papers that Warren hands out. They must not be studying that which they were told to study. For Warren is a good speller and the other teachings have correct spelling as well. These "faithful" can't spell and yet they proclaim King Warren, yet if they were really for him they would have read enough of Warren's papers that they would know how to spell. Warren has encouraged the home schools, better do what he says and go back to school. Faithful, don't give yourselves away, better start studying that which your king wants you to, before he sends you away or gives you a new dad.

being able to read doesn't necessarily mean that you know how to spell. And when you're posting as fast as you can in order to not have someone walk in on you at the office using company computers to read and post then you don't have the luxury of running spell checker or even a dictionary. While the spelling is atrocious and very hard to read sometimes. I would be even better if a lot of them actually posted intelligent thoughts and ideas instead of just "Long live the king!" or "You are all sinners" type stuff. It's sad that in a free nation we have a community of people that have to cower in their secret places to have access to information that is free to all. That they are not allowed to make their own decisions and come to their own conclusions. Uncle Roy was a believer in obtaining a personal testimony. He would never have chased anyone away, or forced them to stay.

Anon 9:03, I agree with you completely. I would have a hard time spelling too, if I had to keep looking over my back, worrying if my wife was going to tell on me, so she could get the insta-release and a new bed tomorrow. It would be hard typing worrying if the spy network was going to catch me. Every one just needs to start thinking for themselves again.

Lets be careful about correcting each other's punctuation, spelling and grammar. The comments are what we want to share and we dont want to scare away postings from those who are unsure on mechanics. Mark Tawin once said "I feel sorry for those who only know one way to spell a word." Knowing how to pronounce "Slack-er" County is helpful though.

You bring up a good point. The FLDS deserve an education, just like anyone else in this country is free to obtain. What they have is a tyrant that will not allow them to go get an education. The United States has worked hard to provide education for all who live in this country.

To 9:03 AM & 9:55 AM:

Thinking for yourself is the key principle that has been overlooked by this particular fundamentalist group (FLDS Church). Although these people are the claimed inheritor's of the "Priesthood Work," they are not the inheritor's of Uncle Roy's principles, therefore Warren's group are counterfit fundamentalists.

Brother Johnson was a very good man and a great leader, not only because of his own Christ-like character, but because he taught and advocated Christ-like principles. He was not afraid to allow the same freedom and access to truth that Jesus did when he walked the earth.

Warren has corrupted the truths' Brother Johnson spent his life teaching. If Warren's minions would only read the published sermons of Brother Johnson, they would soon realize that they have been duped by giving away their God given gift of independent thought in exchange for a servile sycophancy.

It is the true and living Gospel that Brother Johnson taught. He would never turn away genuine seekers of that truth. His famous and loving counsel echo's even still, "Let's go down the road together . . ."

The Gospel of Jesus Christ has always been inclusive, not exclusive. I'm afraid that Warren Jeffs has only cornered the market on suffering, exploitation, and wasted life . . .

Uncle Roy's books have even been changed. It has been confirmed. There still exist a few precious original recordings of some of his sermons and the books have many discrepancies.

Interesting spelling lesson. I will remember this.

I meant no disrespect, only that Eldorado is not spelled or pronounced the way it is in California. That, and those of us who grew up here in Texas know all too well how hard Schleicher is to spell and pronounce.

It is very interesting, your pronunciation, lingo. I like your Texas lingo. I have a southern Lingo. Like some say, creek, and others say crick. some say, kittle, and others say kettle. I think Texas drawl, and Texas lingo is fasinating. I am glad you told me how to pronounce these words, otherwise, we may have had another origanal, texas, southern, lingo. And as for taking over, We do not want your stuff, or your life. Keep smiling. Keep being the Great Texans you were before our people bought land in your state.

to Anon 11:06. You are right, and I also remember Uncle Roy saying on several occaisons that "As long as someone was still breathing they had a chance to repent." As you say he truly lived the principles of Christ.

One thing that is for sure, is that the actions of President Johnson show that he believed what he taught and he taught the teachings of Christ. He believed that anyone that was still alive could repent, thus he left a man with his wives to work out their salvation. When a group decided to stop coming to meetings in the early 50's, President Johnson left their wives alone, he knew better. When a group decided to stop coming to meetings in the early 80's President Johnson left their wives alone. Many men along the way that stopped coming to meetings, he left their wives alone. After many years some of these men came back, had President Johnson stripped them, they never would have come back and been a joy to him. Now King Warren can't seem to leave anyone's wife alone and they don't even have to leave first. Warren moves more wives around in one week, than President Johnson was forced to handle, because of moral issues, during his whole administration.

Speaking of Media...

KSL 1160 in Salt Lake apparently has a tape of the reclusive leader Warren Jeffs.

It was recorded by an "insider" with a hidden microphone.

They are going to air portions of the tape on Tuesday 4/5/05.

Listen to the internet stream Here.

Hello Barlow Boy of 12:19 blog. What has become of Uncle Tru? He must be feeling some shame for just stepping back and allowing a tyrant to tear apart Uncle Roy's dream. Who would know better than he? The love that Uncle Roy had for Colorado City. Our dear Prophet U. Roy had so much confidence in those Barlow Gemts, that they would stand up in defence of his work in Short Creek.

Uncle Roy told those Barlow boys a division was coming and yet they lay in the weeds and do nothing

We here that the Barlows are like wolves, only good in a pack. Broken up, not near as threatening.

Those Barlow boys were sure a disappointment. Uncle Tru could have done a better job with his eyes closed than Warren. At least no one would have had their families shuffled around. Sam would have kicked them all out of their houses when a Barlow needed the house but at least they wouldn't have dealt in the used wife business. They liked new stuff especially wives. Alvin, Sam and Alma turned into old men overnight when the good brethren were cut off. They are near kindred to Judas.

When Warren finally made his move against the Barlows as we all knew he would, for Uncle Wink told us he was going to. Many of us hoped that the Barlows would make their stand and things would get better. Many are sad that they did not.

To exbarlowfan:

Your satirical wit is humorous, but at the same time, the memories are painful.

When the Barlows tore down the Academy and replaced it with their so called university and the "big and spacious building", I shed a sentimental tear. Not for king Louie, who had to have his ego trip, but for the ending of the era of innocence.

The Barlow conspiracy was carefully orchestrated by Louis, Truman, Joe, Dan, Alvin, Sam, Nephi, Uncle Fred, Merril Jessop and a few others. Over a period of time, they were able to split the Priesthood Council and create a "one man" program that Warren Jeffs cunningly inherited.

They completely changed the UEP Trust, by a series of amendments, until the original document was totally discarded. Unfortunately for the Barlows, Warren Jeffs discarded them too. Justice will have its' due.

Your old friend Truman had been living off the tax fund and Uncle Roy's tithing fund for so long that when Warren pulled the feeding tube, Truman simply dissapeared into ignominy.

Because the Barlows had created the doctrine of infallibility with their one-man "prophet," the prophet had to be honored and obeyed no matter how outrageous his decree was. The newly created FLDS Church was perfectly suited for Warren's mischief and he was right at home in his father's bed, which had already been warmed by him. There simply was no room for Truman or the other Barlow conspirator's in his empire.

Alvin's feeding tube is about to be pulled by the State Legislature as well. He has siphoned funds from the CCUSD for so long that he has made it an art form. His network of leases, hidden employees, dissapearing assets, personal use of school vehicles and expense accounts and general malfeasance is about to come to an end. I wonder how many times the school airplane has been to Texas and Colorado? I wonder how many school districts even have an airplane? I wonder also how many school districts have board members who have been encumbent's for forty years and have no children in the school they manage?

Sam Barlow has about outlived his usefulness to Warren. When the beneficiaries realize that they don't have to abandon their homes when Sam tells them to, Sam will no longer have any color of law left to intimidate the people. Sam's days are numbered as Warren has proven he is no respector of Barlows.

It is sad that the ignorant and naive have been duped by the Barlow conspiracy and their soon to be defunct one-man program. The truth of the matter is, men are mortal and when they get old they are subject to the infirmities of age and become vulnerable to manipulation and coercion. Brother Johnson had a very painful condition and was on Demerol when they took advantage of him.

Time and the acts of men have proven the wisdom of the Savour's words, "By their fruits ye shall know them." Warren Jeffs is the corrupt and rotten fruit of the Barlow's.

I'm glad you have found absolution in the truth exbarlowfan, may your quest for freedom be a happy and prosperous one . . .

I'm sure they will also have a story posted that day. I'll post a link to it when it is there.

You know, 25 years ago marriages that were done in Short Creek used to mean something. The men would show love and compassion. The women were happy and showed love back. Both parties know this was for all time and eternity, the bonds of love grew strong. Both parties knew that if they would honor their marriage vows, they would be together forever. Many joys were shared building a community of peace and safety. Joyful were the efforts of helping the needly and elderly. Warren has removed all this, Many women are so scared that they are going to be moved that they are slowly losing all their love and affection for their current husband. Don't you think you would lose all affection if every morning you wake up, you feared you would get a phone call and be instantly released with no further contact allowed with your husband. Then the horrible fear would continue knowing that tomorrow, or in a week, or a month, you would be placed in another man's bed with 5 minutes to say yes "uncle warren" or be damned. Many men are probably becoming distant from their wives as well, living in this extreme kind of satanic horror. Knowing that while they are working hard for their evil king they could come home to nothing. WOW, how did this evil minion of Satan get into power.

May our prayers go to the Pope, a man who spent his life to preserve marriage and many other teachings of Christ.

Quiet Canadian said...

Yes 10:08 blog Prime Minister Paul Martin said "The Pope has been praying for us, now we need to pray for him." May God bless him so he can go in peace and not have to suffer in pain for a long time.

The Pope cared about people, stood for principles, encouraged and helped people the world over. He tried to unite, and show how families can work to stay together. He was against abortion, communism and many other things that say what kind of person he has been. He shall answer to his God, and we to ours. What kind of tracks are we leaving in the sand?

As a Mormon all of my life I have never thought that I had a different God than the Pope. He has been more faithful and devoted than most people that I know.

Some one explain, since most comments on this post seem to be from ex-Creekers,with inside knowledge,What has happened to the
Steed ranch,Harker ranch and the Roundy property since Profit Warren
took over?Does King "W" control these holdings or have they been sold to finance YFZ retreat?

Anonymous said...

The Steed ranch was sold for Warren's petty cash. Under sold at that. I understand the entity that bought it had another buyer in the wings and made a killing. Warren must've been in a hurry for some change.

It's so sad--Brother Steeds' life's work, sold for Warren's whims.

I hear that the Harker Farms are so badly in bebt by Warren's need for cash that selling that asset wouldn't get him much.

As for the Roundy property, I know not.

Street's Reply: El is God, dorado is Red, symbolic of judgement, just as Colorado (city) is symbolic of Red, literally 'color red'. So both places will be especially touched by the judgements of God, having rejected the prophets. The naming of the places were according to the foreknowledge of God.
