Big Temple, Little Steeple

I just saw the Eldorado paper and was wondering why they put such a small steeple on top of that huge temple. Somebody needs to take design lessons. Anybody out there know why it was done this way?

Yea, so it looks like the dome on the Texas state capital.

Anonymous said...

Funny, I thought it looked very small the other day when I drove down RUdd Road. BTW, anon 9:23, the dome at the capital in Austin is actually quite large.

Anonymous said...

Anon 9:40
So, its a small state capital dome.

Great state of Warren.

Anonymous said...

It was built that way on purpose,Uncle Warren didn't want to intimidate the men in Texas .You should have seen the plans on the first steeple,it was an eyepopper.

Anonymous said...

Yeah, was that before or after the "hunting retreat" plans were scratched???

Anonymous said...

Maybe he is running out of money.

Anonymous said...

I thought plans on God's real temples were inspired of God himself. If this were the case, why would Warren cahnge the original plan? hmmm....maybe it just goes to show that he changes ALL of Gods plans. If he was really following Gods plan, he wouldn't be worried about intimidating ANYONE if you ask me. I think it's a sign to us all that he is scared out of his skin.

Looks strangely like some of the buildings around the Kremlin in Russia. Built by communists, policed by communists, run by Warren Stalin Jeffs.

Anonymous said...

Perhaps it is some sort of phallic symbolism, and the scale would be correct.

Anonymous said...

Wouldn't it have to look more like a wiener for it to be phallic? Maybe you are right. It’s so little isn't it.

Anonymous said...

9:36 is correct.

It is not the dome of the temple that matters. It's Warren's little bitty stem on top that he is in awe of.

Maybe some sort of a Napoleon Complex thing. And I ain't talking Napoleon Dynamite.

All who wonder what the temple is for, this is from the Book of Mormon, Alma Chapter 31.

11 Yea, in fine, they did pervert the ways of the Lord in very many instances; therefore, for this cause, Alma and his brethren went into the land to preach the word unto them.

12 Now, when they had come into the land, behold, to their astonishment they found that the Zoramites had built synagogues, and that they did gather themselves together on one day of the week, which day they did call the day of the Lord; and they did worship after a manner which Alma and his brethren had never beheld;

13 For they had a place built up in the center of their synagogue, a place for standing, which was high above the head; and the top thereof would only admit one person.

14 Therefore, whosoever desired to worship must go forth and stand upon the top thereof, and stretch forth his hands towards heaven, and cry with a loud voice, saying:

15 Holy, holy God; we believe that thou art God, and we believe that thou art holy, and that thou wast a spirit, and that thou art a spirit, and that thou wilt be a spirit forever.

16 Holy God, we believe that thou hast separated us from our brethren; and we do not believe in the tradition of our brethren, which was handed down to them by the childishness of their fathers; but we believe that thou hast elected us to be thy holy children; and also thou hast made it known unto us that there shall be no Christ.

17 But thou art the same yesterday, today, and forever; and thou hast aelected us that we shall be saved, whilst all around us are elected to be cast by thy wrath down to hell; for the which holiness, O God, we thank thee; and we also thank thee that thou hast elected us, that we may not be led away after the foolish traditions of our brethren, which doth bind them down to a belief of Christ, which doth lead their hearts to wander far from thee, our God.

18 And again we thank thee, O God, that we are a chosen and a holy people. Amen

Yikes, I guess history really does repeat itself.

You forgot to mention, Alma went out, from among the people. There sat a group who had not been alowed into the temple, weeping to their God. Alma did tell them, You do not need a temple to pray in. He did tell them, The people had changed the word of God, and did think to buy souls with flattery and gold. Mock on little fool's. Read also Cora Hore. Read of Alma the younger. Read in our day, acounts of people who have had near death experiences. You will have to acount for every word, that you do speak.

Has anyone seen the plaq for the temple? I wonder if the date is set at 0 AW for after Warren.
Sorry I dont know Latin so thats the best I could come up with on such short notice.

Anonymous said...

Haha! Not too shabby!

Anonymous said...

It is the strangest temple that I have seen. But then, the strangest people. The wife swapping stuff is bout as ugly as anything. Could that be real? Do they really marry off other guys wives to their brothers and friends? Who knows if that is real?

Anonymous said...

Yes it is real.

The FLDS is the perfect place for a man with sexual addictions to take refuge while pretending that his actions are earning him a spot in Heaven. The "holier" he is the more he is rewarded with young wives - or the wives of his brothers and friends who weren't as worthy.

These men are actually pretty smart if you think about it. They've found a way to feed this addiction while holding heaven over the heads of the ladies they take advantage of.

Anonymous said...

To 9:52 AM:

Kind of like Abraham, Jacob and Moses did I suppose . . .?

Stinger said...

The warrenites can't really be called FLDS anymore. Last time I checked there was nothing "fundamental" about "new and higher teachings". When one of my friends asked his brother about something warren said that conflicted with a sermon from Uncle Roy, he replied "We don't need the old prophets anymore. We have a new one." Is that fundamentalism? I say "NAY NAY. That's Just Whack."

Anonymous said...

To 12:48,

I dunno....were those guys trying to dangle salvation over the heads of their wives??

Anonymous said...

I don't think that it is salvation that Warren is dangling down there.

Anonymous said...

now that's just funny.

Anonymous said...

Yes it is true, warren is taking wives from men and the only clue they get that they are totally washed up is when their wives get married to someone else.

unbelievable said...

what on earth is wrong with the women? why would they go? I just don't get it. some guy just tells a wife to leave a man and she does? can't be real. what are some names that have done this or is this just another one of those unfounded allegations?

Paladin for Truth said...

These women have been brainwashed by Warren to the point that they believe that if they hesitate with any of his teachings for 1 second, that is too long and they risk having a second place in heaven with no increase. Since myeldorado.net is posting audio, someone should send a tape to them with this teaching on it, he has said it more than once. Mostly to the girls.
Anyway, the women are so scared that Warren simply has someone they trust, their father or a brother, etc. Move them out of their house and somewhere else while the husband is gone away working, most of the time for King Warren. The women are told they can have no more contact with their husband and the husband is told that all contact must go through a designated person. If the husband pushes the issue, he can see his kids, but this is very hard to work out. Telling one party of a marriage that they can't see their kids is illegal. All you men out there that think you can't see your kids, you do get some default visitation rights and you don't need a lawyer. You can start visiting right now.
Some men have even been sent to take the husband away to lunch or something while others quickly move the wife out.

Oh yes, this satanic horror and destruction is real, brough forth by the minion of Satan, King Warren. Just ask Truman Barlow, first he helped with the stripping of others, now he is stripped and living alone.

Anonymous said...

The men themselves are party to the seperation, if they are believers. They have told their women, this is a test and it will be for a time and we will be back together. Like the test of John Taylor. Then while their back is straining to work for Warren to prove their loyalty, the family is given to another man. In some cases the "new" man has been kicked out too. Several women are on their 3rd husband and there have been those who have had as many as 5.
What ever happened to being married for 'all time and eternity'?

Anonymous said...

correction, time and all eternity

We were born & raised in Texas and now live in Utah - where this nutty bunch comes from. They are for REAL!!! This whole lot - FLDS & LDS are one big cult. They believe that one day - if they prove worthy - they will sit next to God and judge. Also, they will become gods of thier own planet. Try living with these nuts for awhile - then give them a good ole fashioned southern boot out of the great country of TEXAS!!!

Don't you miss your beautiful Texas?

It's a rather indelicate topic in such circles as these, but some token of the successes Mr. Jeffs has had in his prolific insemination of young girls had to be erected, excuse me, built.

However, because of the stalwart adherence to build things according to all truth and righteousness - the steeple, out of necessity, had to be erected to only a short distance.

Welcome to the Texas blog. Saw you on the Canadian blog and it looked like they whooped up on you there a bit. You'll get get much better treatment from these open minded Texans :)

But I must warn you onthestreet, the pirahna's down here have "long horns." And the good ole boys and gals know how to quote the Bible. You can just come to Jesus and be saved buddy--you don't have to do a damn thing but believe in Jesus to be saved. It's the best deal I've seen since squeeky cheese.

By the way, if you run into texas cow girl, be prepared to laugh your ass off, or you're just simply not a good fundamentalist.

Enjoy . . .

One of my husbands just told me, my comments will have the FLDS after me, the one in the kitchen making dinner had no comment. I haven't yet asked the ones working in the field how they feel about my comments - but I might have some time on Tuesday night, Thursday afternoon and Saturday morning to chat with them one on one, I'll let you know what they thought(that is...unless I have a headache).

I've been considering picking up a few more workers, er...I mean husbands, so I can build that arena I've always wanted, and care for the horses, mend fences and regrade the driveway.

My men are so happy to enjoy my company once every 8.75 days. I usually scope out the new crop of high school freshman on Friday nights at the local high schools - so that night is usually taken up with business.

Yeah, I feel real lucky to be born into my family. If I can get 10 more husbands, I'll be elligible to submit my application to occupy by a little know planet called Ceres. My mother was very ambitious and had no less than 50 husbands when her application for the west side of Neptune was accepted. She had a stamina that is astounding, and revered to this day in our group. She left right away for Neptune, but as the third daughter most of her husbands were given to my older sisters, and so it's my struggle to build up my XX tribe.

Wish me luck - perhaps I'll erect a double igloo in my honor - Warrens tribute to himself with that.... er impressive steeple gave me that great idea.

Ruth, Ruth? I think not - I'm a descendent of SMARTi, uh...the smart one....not MORONi, uh...the ummm, other one.

But thanks for noticing my spelling and grammar. Women in our group are encouraged to realize their potential by attending institutions for higher learning. Plus, it's a great way to pick up another husband who can do my taxes or design the new addition to the home.

Now, to those who do not understand satire (and think me to be Ruth - crazed with love for Warren Jeffs) I'm just making that clear. I wouldn't pick him up for my litter with his wodgy dodgy little voice and lopsided face (wow, what unattractive children he must make - hideous for breeding) - what you see above (this paragraph) is satire.

You still haven't answered my question: "Which finger?"

onthestreet said...

Cupola, the finger of God. Count of ten. Light is come into the world, but the world perceives it not, a caldron for melting, a beehive kiln, a turret, but the court is not measured.

Anony mouse Said: There you are again. You're really going to get an education on this blog that might threaten your complete dedication to "Uncle Warren."

Street's Reply: Your brand of education never threatens such greatness, but only threatens yourselves. Evaluate the word: Ed-U-Ca-Shun. We shun the world, and all it represents. The "E" is the eye or ayin, and "D" is the dallet, the "V" is vav, the "C" the chet, the "A" the alef. They are each aspects of light by themselves. The light is come, but the world perceives it not.

You speak in riddles, but I know you have the capacity to communicate somewhat more clearly. You don't have to immitate Ruth here, you can quit pretending to be insane now and post in an intelligable manner.

Ten fingers you say? Nine in the form of two fists (cupolla), with one finger projecting upward? I'll bet it's the MIDDLE FINGER onthestreet. The middle finger projecting upward toward Warren's god. Warren's obviously upset for the abandonment of his prophecy's and is giving God the finger.

How's that for light, onthestreet?

On The Street

Which street are you on? Are you in the compound behind the big stone walls, or in Short Crick?

Back in the 1800's slaveowners didn't educate their African American slaves - do you know why? Why do you think Warren wants you ignorant?

Someone who was educated and could read foreign languages could translate for other nations? Someone who was educated could design a sewage treatment plant - wouldn't that be a nice thing?

Someone who is educated could read and write persuasively - wouldn't that come in handy?

Someone who is educated can make decisions based on knowledge (the candy is marked 25 cents each so you can't charge me 50 - but of course on a larger scale).

IN FACT - you are educated - you can read, and you can write - just not well, just not persuasively. You cannot express your thoughts in a way that would persuade anyone to listen to you, just enough to asked someone to pass the mashed potatoes, and make pingy pangy sounding emails (hey, did you have any ancestors that lived in England?

onthestreet said...

Yes, perhaps the events will pick your teeth and design your sewage. I can't measure you folks. You're too big for me.

I hate to go into grammar on this blog but, I must

"Perhaps events will pick your teeth and design your sewage"

Did you mean something different than that and accidently mistyped - or are you actually meaning to communicate some poorly phrased nonsensical statement.

On the street - I've got the perfect place for you - a University, you should consider learning. You clearly like to discuss, you'd enjoy the environment in University - isn't there anything in particular you've ever wanted to know about

Yeah - even if onthestreet is educated (or at least is able to find the library) he's still not persuasive - can't even play dumb/psychotic well.

Who's going to dish the dirt on Warren et al - who will befriend one of the girls and get the down and dirty on these men. C'mon - we need details.

How can we help these girls realize they have options? How can we protect the ones who haven't become celestial wives yet?

Not to repent of the virtue of communicating, be of the grossness that many of you represent and communicate here, which is neither civil or educated, much less dignified or indicative of your ascendency over the FLDS Church.

Everyone must repent, both near and from afar,According to
John Y.Barlow[aka"A REAL PROPHET"!
]the First Principle of the Gospel is repentence.If Warren aka {DEVIL'S Prophet} knew anything about the Gospel of Jesus Christ aka{THE SAVIOR}
,he then he could repent as well.

Oh hey, I'm not catholic so I think I'll have to decline your offer of confession/repentance. But gosh - it sure was kind of you to be so thoughtful.

Us protestants tend to talk to Jesus ourselves - we like to call it Prayer.

But go ahead, since it's your tradition, I'll listen very nicely to any repentence you need to make.

onthestreet said...

And many shall say, "Lord, Lord, have we not called you by your name, and done many good works in your name, and I shall say unto him: Depart hense, thou cursed, I never knew you."

However, if you do repent, I will not be so presumptive and criminal as to suppose to be the one called to take your confession. You will confess to God and his Christ and his servant. God bless you in that endeavor.
